CHICA Las Vegas, an innovative concept from John Kunkel’s 50 Eggs Hospitality Group takes guests through a culinary journey of Latin flavor. Critically acclaimed and touted in Las Vegas Magazine as the “Latin-dining hot spot,” CHICA serves up an array of show stopping dishes created by Celebrity Chef, Lorena Garcia in a playfully, vibrant atmosphere.

Latin Fusion cuisine is Chef Garcia’s forte. Appetizers, main courses, desserts, and even cocktails are crafted with an infusion of cultural heritage allowing diners to explore multiple cuisines all at once. CHICA’s menu presents a dynamic take on classic Latin dishes, from the tastes of Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina.     We dodged VOS (Vegas Overeating Syndrome) by sticking to the "Small Bytes" and "Raw" neighboroods of the menu. It turned out to also be a way to hit some of the most interesting dishes. CHICA is true Strip in that a fortune has been spent on a high-build premises designed to hook the passer-by. But underneath there is some really good chef work. Service is experienced professional, wine list is "small but well chosen" (to use a common but useful phrase). Argentine pinot noir and Albarino were good. The Fria Frio Vinho Verde solid. Recommend and would return. Details: Oyster Mushrooms sweet and earthy. Totally hooked. Asado Arepas, a (large) single bite of sweet piloncillo on short on pull-apart short rib meat. Quesa Birria Empanadas. Just need ten more of these, along with the dipping sauce (guajillo consomme) made from the cooked meat stuffing.

    Fantastic meal celebrating my mom’s 70th birthday! Our server made her feel really special and even got her to do her very first shot. Can’t wait to return and try the dinner menu.

    Had a fabulous mother daughter date this weekend. We split the fried sea bass entree for two and had the shrimp ceviche and arepas appetizers, then ended with the flaming skull dessert. Everything was amazing, would definitely recommend.

    Chica was always a favourite, but sadly no longer. They have removed some of their best and most popular dishes because (as said by the waiter) they were not "cost-effective", cocktails were bland and uninspired, the room was empty at 730pm when the rest of Restaurant Row was full, and the service was totally absent - likely because they have now added a mandatory 18% service charge (and we were a table of two, not a group). Too many amazing restaurants in Las Vegas to go back again. Unfortunate.

    We had an amazing experience at Chica. It was our anniversary and the staff made it incredibly special! They tended to our special night with impeccable detail. They even had a nice card on our table wishing us a happy anniversary. Our waitress, table attendant and chef were extremely nice and made us feel special! The food and drinks were delicious! When we had desert they even put happy anniversary on the plate! Attention to detail in every way! It was a Friday night after 9pm so they had entertainment that really set the vibe for the whole night! The DJ, congo player and dancers were amazing! What an incredible performance! Thank you Chica for making our special night special!
