Great food. Terrible service
Excellent food & service
A pleasant surprise. Expected an average experience, but the food was very very good!
Good food. Like the small plates.
My first visit involved Long waits, no silverware until apps came out, forgot to bring food out, etc. The manager was kind enough to comp our lunch.
The food was great and worthy of another visit! However , the service was lackadaisical and very slow. Took 20 minutes to get food after ordering. Took forever to get drinks as well. As a local I won’t be going again but tourists should give this place a try
Very disappointed. Service was lousy and food was even worse. The portions are stingy for the price. We will never go back again. NY strip was overly salty next to an almost inedible brown sauce (it tasted so bad I had to spit out). Who makes a quesadilla out of blue cheese? It tasted disgusting. I thought the blue cheese would be placed on the steak but instead it was a small quesadilla on the side and did not complement the meal. Even the pickled onions or whatever it was did not taste good. Calamari came with a not so tasty dipping sauce. Guacamole appetizer was a joke. $14 for the smallest portion of guacamole/chips I’ve ever seen. There were some round cake like discs to be used with the guac which were not tasty either. Husband ordered short rib, which was okay but portion was so little, he left hungry. We paid $150+ for a meal that was so disappointing. We did not complain to the manager, but noticed another couple already doing so as we left. Not sure how they are/will stay in business.
Service was exemplary, food very well thought out. Highly recommend for business meeting, get together, or a romantic dinner.
This was a very nice restaurant. Unfortunately the manager working the night we were there was extremely rude to one of the group which spoiled the whole evening
Sangria is excellent! Ambience is relaxed and fun. Attentive servers who don’t rush you but give good recommendations. Go for the ceviche and plantains. Empanadas are good too!
This was my third visit to Chica. It has gone downhill in a hurry. Food was mediocre at best. Brought friends from New York and was embarrassed about my choice. Maybe it was just an off night but we were all disappointed.
Loved the food so much we returned the next day. The service was another story. Many tables open, but put us by kitchen where staff used a short cut past our table. Other path would have taken two extra steps. Instead servers and busboys whizzed past us repeatedly. Ruined our meal and left bad taste in our mouth. Too bad because we loved the food.
My friend and I were looking for a restaurant that was casual but had good food. We found it at Chica! We shared the small plates instead of ordering entrees. Our server, Monica, suggested the Empanadas because they are baked and not fried. They were very tasty as was the Trio of Picos. We also shared the Steak & Kale salad. The staff is friendly and made us feel welcomed. Monica was attentive and helpful with the menu. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
Phenomenal! Shared plates with another couple and everything was delicious!
This might be my new favorite restaurant in Vegas! We had a fantastic Sunday brunch. The DJ wa a nice touch. Loved the espresso cream filled churros, the beignets, and the steak and eggs tacos. All amazing. And as a drinkier of classic old fashionends, I was resistant to trying the rum old fashioned on the the cocktail menu, but ended up loving it.
Overall this was a great outing. Important for people reading this review to know we will go back again. The menu has a lot of choices and we enjoyed what we ordered. Steak and eggs was TOP NOTCH! Dulce De Leche French Toast...OMG... AMAZING! Service, Ambiance, Value all lost a star in the review >> $13 for a mimosa is pretty high in my book. I had two, (total we ordered in our party of 4 was 6) I would have maybe had 3, 4 or 5 ...lol...if the price was more acceptable and the resteraunt would have probably made out better and likely got a better review. The lost star in service related to a strange question from our server (and don't get me wrong, she was excellent) and it goes back to the overpriced mimosa. I was drinking traditional orange juice and when I reordered mine she brought pineapple juice, I had a drink of it, noticed it was wrong and when she came by and I let her know I got pineapple instead of orange, she hedged, and said "would you mind if I just added orange juice into it?" Um? Yeaah. If I ordered a second $13 orange juice mimosa, why would I want you to do that??? The lost star in ambiance is only based on the fact that the place was kind of only half full, we had a reservation, and we were seated in exactly the last table in the house, directly in front of the kitchen and waitstaff service area. I was the person who made the reservation, and our friends showed up first and were seated, so if I had been there first I probably would have asked for a different table. This review is in no way a mark against Chica, as I said we will go again, just hoping they read their reviews and might take this as constructive critique. A special chef's desert of that day we were told about was not crazy good. My husband always has to order desert :-) ... So he went for that by recommendation of our server...some creme filled cinnamon donut holes on a skewer....chef if you are reading this sorry, but an actual chefs special desert should wow...this one did not.
Our server took the time to really talk to us about the menu. Cocktails were good and presentation of all dishes/drinks was very nice.
Phenomenal dining experience at Chica! Delicious food and cocktails, amazing service! Will definitely visit again!
Went before show and I am so glad we did. Food and service was excellent will definitely be back!!!
Warm water served
Food good and unique but way overpriced
Long wait time for service during and after meal with many waiters standing around
Basically ignored during visit
Very nice setting, great service, but the value (price and quality) was lacking. Noise level was a little higher than expected, but it is Vegas and there was a larger group in the bar.
Decent selection of South American specialties. Not the best empanadas, guacamole or ceviche that I ever had, but good for Vegas.
I'd say this restaurant has about one more year before going out of business unless some new management/policies are installed. I say this because of the low value proposition it offers. First, let me say, I have no hesitation about paying good money for good food in decent proportions. But when your tapas/sharing dishes are the prices of full entres and have barely enough for two people to get a taste - there is a problem. We ordered four items and one cocktain - $114. We frequently have $100, $200, $300 meals and know what they're supposed to look like. What we got from Chica was about $60 (tops) of food for nearly double that amount. Look, I realize you have a huge casino-level rent to pay, but you're going to have to adjust the formula there - charge more and give a better portion, for example - if you'd care to have any repeat customers. With all of that being said, the dishes, while creative, were not standout good - another potential way to justify the price - but just didn't. Even though the place was at about 1/3 capacity (at 7pm on a Saturday Night) the service was extremely close to being poor...I'd say 6/10 to be generous.
It was a nice change from a steak or seafood restaurant
Food, drinks & service were fantastic and exceeded our expectations! Two thumbs up! We will be back for dinner!
Overpriced for mediocre food and small portions. Service was very good and atmosphere was nice.
Tasty dinner, great guac. Service was great. I’ve had better margs, tho.
Great but they were out of several wines and cocktails. Became humorous! No sweat though! Would go back 100%
Great restaurant. Very tasty food and wonderful service. Chef Lorena Garcia did amazing. Will definitely be going back!
Overpriced for the quality of food and service. Cocktails were great but the food is just ok especially for how expensive
Amazing food and great service! The drinks are incredible! Such a great atmosphere.
Absolutely, one of the best meals I have had in Las Vegas or anywhere for that matter. I had the corn pancakes with blueberry, coconut cream, agave syrup, and fruit topping -- delicious! Others had the eggs and grits, which were also delicious. Chicken and waffles were also exceptional. I loved the fusion artistry of the chef and would recommend this restaurant, particularly if you are celebrating a special occasion. The service was also exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable, pleasant, and attentive.
one of the best food you will find on the vegas strip
I was looking for a nice date night restaurant for my recent Vegas getaway. I love Latin food so I made reservations at Chica. It was everything I wanted and so much more, it is my new favorite restaurant and I can't wait to go back to Vegas and visit Chica again. The food was amazing, we had arepas with short rip and this was pure magic. I honestly will order two of those next time! Peruvian octopus was also amazing and we had porchetta for our main. It comes with fried yuca and brussel sprouts and with the most amazing sauce/glaze you can imagine. The portion was very generous (we shared) and I think I will order it again next time even though I want to try every single thing on their menu. We ordered their red grits with parmesan on the side as well and it was my husbands favorite. My husband does not like grits, haha. We even ordered dessert, lemon ricotta donuts, OMG! What a perfect ending to our meal. As if the food wasn't enough to rave about, the service was just an amazing. Our server was Beatriz and she had much patience for us and took the time to explain everything and make sure we got exactly what we wanted, she was so, so nice!
I don’t even like cauliflower but their grilled cauliflower was insane 😩 Franceska provided excellent service. Her face lights up when she talks about the pulled pork dish, so we ordered it... hot damn. Also, I could live in the guacamole. Beautiful venue. Seriously worth the spend, especially for something special. We’ll be back.
Was the worst dining experience in Vegas!! I ordered a steak medium rare and got it crispy. The waiter was awful
Never asked how t was cooked had to get a manager just to say it was awful. Don’t go Vegas has so many amazing dining options worth the price the Venetian cafe would be a better choice then this awful restaurant.
Beautiful great service amazing food ! Celebrated our anniversary and Chica made the occasion special for us
Like the ambiance of this spot and our server in the bar area, while we waited for our table was great; however, there ended up being a mix up and the hostesses never came to get us when 615 rolled around for our reservation so they gave our table away. They weren't very pleasant about it, which was a huge turnoff, but we made the best of it and just ordered our food at the high top in the bar and ate there (even though there were plenty of spots still open in the restaurant). Not a huge deal, but just bizarre that the hostesses had a weird vibe about it when it wasn't our fault because our waitress at the bar even told us she was going to reconfirm w/ them at the front that we were just waiting to be called, so not sure what happened.
The food was great, the service was not. The staff was friendly but hard to get their attention.
