Our third visit to Chianti's did not disappoint. We very much enjoyed the food, service and attention paid to throughout the course of our dining experience. The music provided by the harpist was a special surprise. The recommended bottle of wine was particularly good and affordable. Our party of three would highly recommend a visit to Chianti and we look forward to returning again.

This is a great restaurant for Italian food. It is prepared right. It is a delight to get off the key to get a nice place to dine. We would recommend this to anyone to celebrate or just to have a good night out. Planning to eat out again there this week

We had some friends in town for their vacation and decided to take them here as we had wanted to try Chianti's ourselves. We were warmly greeted as we came in and taken to a booth of our choosing. The waiter was there very promptly to take our drink orders. Upon his return we gave him our starter choices and dinner requests. The food was delivered after a reasonable time and all 4 of us reported excellent quality of our meals. Overall, a delightful experience and we would not hesitate to recommend Chianti's to anyone looking for a great Italian spot to dine.

Waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for spaghetti. My wife's entre was uncooked so she didn't eat it. Had to get up twice to get my own drink refills. Waited to complain while another patron expressed frustration about waiting 45 minutes. Waited to pay the bill and waited more while they corrected using my card for someone else's check. We have tried this restaurant twice. Same experience waiting both times. First time our very attentive server kept apologizing about the wait. Second time we never really saw our server. This is a great place for a 2-3 hour dinner.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. But last Saturday's experience was a real disappointment. We waited a fair bit for our server to get to our table and once we ordered, we waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for our food. But when the food came, only 3 of the 4 meals were delivered. The server said the 4th entrée (salmon) would be out in 2-3 minutes and it was 15 minutes before it was served. Meatballs and spaghetti, were very poor and quite sub-standard for Chianti. The Pappardelle with shrimp and scallops had obviously sat for a while before being served, because it was rather dry and it only had 2 small scallops.

We had visited the restaurant several times previously. On this occasion, we brought a party of eight including out of town guests. After a wait of over an hour, we inquired about our order. It seems that due to some miscommunication in the kitchen, our order had been lost. The waitress was visibly upset with the situation . We then spoke to the owner who refused to address the problem. The problem apparently escalated in the kitchen resulting in the waitress being fired on the spot. When we expressed our displeasure to the owner, he reacted in anger, refused to offer any apology or accept any responsibility. Most unpleasant experience and unacceptable example of customer service.

I chose Chiant Restorante after an Online Search of the Sarasota area. The location was a key reason as we had people traveling from St. Petersburg and Fort Myers. Chianti was about the same distance for everyone to meet. We were celebrating the 88th birthday of a gentleman that we worked with for many years. I would highly recommend Chianti Restorante as the ambiance is very good as is the food and service.

Wonderful place for a family dinner. There were 8 of us including 3 kids. Everyone loved their food. Nice cocktail and wine selection. Good service. One of our favorite places in Sarasota.

My wife and I went this past weekend to Chianti for the 3rd time. After mixed results on two visits, we decided to give it another chance as we are looking for a go to place where we can eat reliable Italian food at a reasonable price when we don't want to get dressed up and go downtown. While not crowded, there was a long wait to order drinks, and then dinner. Once ordered, we waited and waited - our server, Giuseppe never came to tell us what was going on. Upon receiving our meals we heard him say "the kitchen went down". We looked at each other and couldn't figure out if the chef quit, a power outage or what the "kitchen going down" meant. There are a plethora of fine dining establishments in Sarasota - Chianti's is not one of them.
