Salty, oily, unaccommodating are still acceptable but untruthful is not. Careless and unapologetic. Management did acknowledge missteps after asking a lone waitress that was professional for help. Dry aged 28 days New York steak done correctly but full of sinew, disappointing. Overrated and way too sure of themselves.

Rare in LA to find good quality products! This place felt like we were in Italy . Very intimate sizewise restaurant .
Loved it!

Incredible food. Everything we tasted was excellent. Large portions which we did not finish. Only problem we had was that we wanted to take home our extra meat, but after we got home we found out that the busboy did not give us our meat. Very disturbing.

We had the pork blade chop, beef short ribs, grilled broccoli and of course the focaccia de Recco. The focaccia was great, flakey texture with creamy cheese. Would have been elevated if it was properly salted. The broccoli on the other hand was too salty, could have also scaled back on the amount of oil used. The pork chop was divine, great charred taste and the seasoning tasted a little spicy to give it that extra kick. The beef short ribs were also good but the cut we had was a little hard to chew. Definitely a place I would come back to. Also appreciated the ice cream and waffle they gave us for our special occasion!

I savored every bite. Adorable waiter. Music made me very happy. Food was so good I plan to work my way through the entire menu. Best meal in LA in the last 10 years!

Steak (42oz porterhouse) was fantastic, along with heart of palm and potatoes - also both awesome. Mixed appetizer was very good: the butchers pate and salamis were great, although I wasn't as keen on the smokiness of the capicola and the prosciutto. Fried pigs trotter was incredibly rich and satisfying! Deserts (sorbets, butterscotch pudding) rounded out an excellent meal. The wait staff were attentive without being intrusive. The open kitchen is great too.

Very disappointing . I ate here first about two years and it was the best steak I had ever had. This time same steak had hard gristly material in it, and was not nearly as flavorful. The focaccia was good , but was served with unmelted cheese at its center. Service was good but everything seemed somewhat rushed. I think this place has become a victim of its monetary and popular success. While it might have been an off night--for these prices they should not have off nights.

For food to have been served cold is unacceptable. Especially a restaurant of this caliber. Although the service was second to none, the supporting service / runners were just blatantly lousy! If it wasn’t for a business dinner, would have definitely complained but didn’t want to make a stink of it at the moment.

We’ll definitely be back again but now way put up with the service nonsense.

The wait staff was very nice and helpful with all our questions. They were very attentive and came by often to check on our table and food. The food was very good, but only constructive advice is maybe less salt on the grilled octopus and maybe less fennel on the tomahawk porkchops. They were cooked to perfection, but the seasoning and salt overwhelmed the flavor of the pork a bit. The porterhouse and the short ribs were amazing. Cooked to perfection! The bone marrow and beef pie was delicious. Amazing crust.

Came with high expectations and left being blown away! All aspects of service were perfect, from reservation, changing reservation, greeting and seating, service and guidance through the menu, playing presentations and taste, quality checks, knowledgeable on wines...you name it! Loved the open kitchen. Tried dishes normally out of my comfort zone and thoroughly enjoyed them. All dishes were family style so having a larger group would have been ideal for trying more of what the menu had to offer!

just insanely good. creative and inspiring food. Excellent service. The food preparations are done on a bar next to the dining room which adds a lot to the freshness and the feeling of it. The chicken was just out of this world and I am a meat lover. The pastries are to die for. I wish they had a NY branch.

A magical meat paradise. I didn't want to leave and I immediately wanted to go back.
Everything was sensational but the pork butter, tomahawk pork chop, and bone marrow beef cheek pie were all some of the best things I've ever eaten, anywhere. Seriously, pork butter, salty swiney heaven. We got an extra to go it was so good.

Service was as good as the food which is as awesome as it is rare. A real special place for a great meal.

Chi Spacca did not disappoint. The food was amazing. We ordered the lamb and our waitress u firmed us that they prepare it rare. I don't usually eat rare meat, but or waitress and he GM said they would bring it out the way it's normally prepared (rare) and if we didn't like it, they would cook it more for us. To my surprise, it was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender, juicy and packed with flavor. The whole experience was amazing.

This is our 5th time eating at chi spacca and still remains consistent. The foccacia is to die for, the best! We ordered the beef bone marrow pie very hearthy and full of flavor! The 36oz Fiorentina cooked well and seasoned well, right amount of char. Also ordered the beef short ribs amazing. Everything here is consistent, and the service is one of the best!

This restaurant is an amazing experience from start to finish. Either start it at the bar watching the chefs magically transform the meats they had prepared and aged themselves or at a quiant table. Either way the food will sing in your mouth no matter what you order.

Dinner or the rent? We chose dinner. Start with the octopus, move to the focaccia, transition to the butter lettuce, cap it off with the $220 50oz bistecca and grilled broccoli. Well worth it. Panhandle later.

Great and amazing food. Servers know the food and are very good on wine recs- this is a special occasion place you go to for great Italian food and meat without the extra frills. Very good service but they focus on the basics - don't expect white linen table cloths and white glove service. Great nonetheless. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and MASSIVE portions.
