Chi Spacca in Hollywood is one of our favorite places to get excessive in LA. This involves a lot of meat.
Fabulous food! Great place for a special occasion, especially for carnivores.
We went there on our anniversary and brought along with us our 7-month old daughter. They accommodated us.
Octopus was amazing, as well as their house bread, but the cream corn have more flavor than the short rib.
Will go back, but staying away from the short rib.
The sides and desserts were as good as the entrees!
The food was prepared perfectly. The meat was fork tender, the creamed corn was sweet, and the focaccia was rich and flaky. The server helped us pick a delicious wine that paired perfectly with the food. It was a memorable evening.
The entire course we had was great, the only downside is the porcini rubbed short ribs. It seems out of place in the menu and the meat is tough. There is barely any fragrance of porcini despite it is the main ingredient mentioned on the menu. Perhaps I should have asked before I ordered the entree, that short ribs is not ideal to be chargrilled without softening the tough sinews first. It was a jaw dropping contrast to the magnificent octopus dish. Besides the entree, we have enjoyed every other items that we had.
Food was excellent, we had a great time and will be back! Great place to be for special occasion.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, a wonderful dining experience
Been coming here for years & it never disappoints. The new menus items were all incredible. Only problem is deciding on what to get. It’s all super good the in house charcuterie is exceptional & the bisteca florintina is better than any I ever had in Florence

We waited almost an hour for a Focaccia. The first one burned and they had to do another one.
It was until I told the waiter about the time passed that the manager came with some olives to say sorry.
The veal didn’t worth the visit.

The food was superb. The steak was the best I ever tasted but their focaccia was unexpectedly delicious too. The service was just well balanced!
Firstly, its worth nothing their Burrata is not fresh, it's like the kind you buy from a supermarket - so best avoid. I ordered the short ribs and the lamb sausage as well. The latter was fairly normal whilst the short ribs were too chewy and not great. I left disappointed and won't be back.
Aside from the great food, the friendly staff and great service is another to enjoy your experience at chi spacca.
I eat this focaccia in my dreams! Everything’s delicious from starters to dessert. Service is outstanding. It’s our special occasion go-to. Plan on leaving very full and very happy.
Third time here. Previous visits have been excellent and very enjoyable. Disappointing this time. Under-staffed, so service was spotty, bordering on indifferent. Salumi was very good, but cooking, was ok but underwhelming (particularly the sides), pacing of dishes was poorly timed, trickling out, e.g., sides before mains -- certainly not family-style -- and which, by the way, one order barely made it around a table of six. Would have happily ordered two if advised, although the sides have the least value. And if we want to get picky, it is my understanding that contorni come after the secondi, not before. Really here for the bistecca and while previously outstanding, this time it, and the lamb, while tasty, both were a bit gristley. And finally, while the desserts were good, the order was wrong. Nothing terrible, just not up to the previous high standard and really expected much more from this top-tier restaurant. And for what it's worth, I have never written an online review -- since you don't know if I know anything about food or dining out, so really, you really can't place much value here -- however, I felt compelled to this time.

Wew have been trying to get a reservation for months, so glad we scored this time. Good waiter EXCELLENT food. Perfect charcuterie and Florentine Steak. This is when an expensive meal is worth every penny. Can't wait to come back.

Great food. Overall descent service. Staff didn't seem to welcoming but it didn't deter there service level. For a $500/dinner you'd expect a bit more.

This was a disappointing experience! My husband and I took my brother here for his birthday and I was so looking forward to trying the bone marrow pie however it was removed and replaced with a $50 chicken pot pie....who is willing to pay for a $50 chicken pot pie?? Well so we ordered the charcuterie board which was good but the focaccia di recco was not as good as I expected. The tomahawk pork chop, baby carrots and asparagus were also pretty disappointing and salty and the portion is kind of small to serve 4-6 people. The service was meh and TBH overall experience is okay...
Unique, delicious, fun with fantastic staff. Everything we ate - gem salad, cheesy focaccia bread, salad primavera, cauliflower, broccoli, lamb, pepper steak and the chicken (REALLY amazing) was just delicious. Our table of 6 loved every bite. Pricey, yes, but so unique and delicious. What more can you say?
Our server was very attentive. The food was seasoned perfectly and the serving size large; need to bring everyone on the family to help us...

The most amazing food! The bistecca Fiorentina, and focaccia are a must to try! They are always consistent and delicious! The service was impeccable! My favorite place in California.

The chef is a genius, having the fish, salad, and meat all done creatively with such an amazing combination of flavors.
The branzino was cooked perfectly with just the right seasoning. The tomahawk overwhelmingly the best thing on the menu. The little gem was securely exquisite.
Service was attentive and a perfect low-key ambience. My only criticism would be perhaps lowering the music a little bit, it was hard to hear our Guests talk.

One of the best restaurants that I've been to here in LA. I came for my birthday this past Tuesday after being recommended by a client.
All of the dishes were delicious from beginning to end. The service was top notch, and it was fun watching the staff cook in front the counter.
The meat was VERY Fatty. It is very expensive and for that price I would go else where!!! I would not go back...
Great atmosphere and service. Awesome meats and sides. We went fish and lamb this time. The fish was great, as were the sides and salad.
Very casual dining but all the food we ordered were amazingly flavorful. The sauces used were so delicious. Desserts were so so. They were too sweet for me. But the short ribs and the roasted duck were worth it. I left the restaurant craving for more. I would definitely come back and bring my friends.

Had to wait a half hour for table, should have told diners at table to move on after two and a half hours!
Casual dining but top notch food. A week later I am still thinking about some of the dishes we had (warm dates!). Simple, but absolutely delicious Nancy cuisine. Loved it. Nice to go with a group as many of the dishes are meant to be shared among 5-6.
