An open kitchen and bar bring theatrical flair to this otherwise interactive space with flaming woks, shaking of cocktails and a heavy scent of chargrill.
Chi’s food is designed to be perfect for soaking up the spirit from a long-neck Tsingtao beer and Chi’s range of mini cocktails which features a Chinese-inspired Negroni and an aptly named, ‘Sunset Ferry’.

The Festival Feast was well balanced, beautiful food and great value. Standout dish was the scallops in the shell.

Claudia was the best server! 10/10. She was very attentive and welcoming. As well as all the other staff. The food was melt in your mouth and the ambience was great. We sat outside and it wasn’t loud, it was perfect !
Six people had the Sydney Festival special. Because we had one vegetarian and one gluten free, the food came out a bit haphazardly. We also had different version of the festival menu on our table - one offered Riesling and one offered Sauvignon Blanc as the house white. Initially, the staff restaurant refused to serve the Riesling, but after some discussion agreed. Pick of the festival menu - dumplings and sang choi bao :-) Nice place, but I prefer the Lotus Dumpling Bar in Walsh Bay - they do the most amazing eggplant dish!.
We had the banquet before a Sydney festival concert. Great food, nice wine. Made having a bite befits the concert a really easy option.

A little different from your average Asian restaurant. Great for share plates. Food was great. Also a nice selection of craft beers which is a bonus. Other restaurants should take notice. It does influence my decision on where we go to eat.

Very unimpressed with being asked to move to the bar so our table could be given to another customer. We were still waiting for our sweets as a result of service delay when we were asked to move. The meal was expensive and the request unreasonable
The food was absolutely amazing. The only down fall was the amount of food. Bigger servings would be more appreciated.
Service was good, but almost too good, within 2 minutes 3 people asked for our order when we weren’t ready yet.
Drinks were pricey but yummy!
Overall great experience just more expensive than its sister restaurants

Absolutely delicious food, lovely staff and fast service. Highly recommend.
Only watch out is if you are ordering the bbq pork vs pork belly skewers. We ordered the BBQ pork and got the pork belly skewers which is understandable mistake so might just need to be clear with ordering and staff to clarify before placing the order.
Otherwise magnificent and can't wait to come back!

We had the banquet which was delicious. It was difficult to hear due to the noise, one of the private rooms would have been nice.

Food was amazing we were disappointed in the char grilled broccolini. It just tasted off. The guy greeting you at the door needs to pick up the pace we waited 10-15mins outside for our reservation. Sat us in the wrong area that I had booked and then we were at the counter top which was not enjoyable considering we drove over and hour to get there just to placed directly in the walk way. Then we waited 20mins to get our last dish after finding out it hadn’t actually been put through. So we ended up cancelling the last dish and leaving.
