   I was really excited to experience Chez Roc for the ambiance, decorations, and piano performance. The first two were on point, but my group was very disappointed to learn that the piano performances have been discontinued indefinitely and replaced with club music and a DJ instead. This was not updated on their website or Open Table... if it was, I would have passed on the reservation since I was hosting friends out of town. Just wasn't the vibe we wanted!

   Great date night spot! Amazing drinks. I loved The Boycott followed by an Old Fashioned, Chez Roc style. Ambience was fantastic! Great music, good vibes, amazing service and drinks were top notch. I live 5 min away so I think I found my new regular spot 😎

   We had a reservation for 8:00 and because other tables sat so long, we didn’t get seated for at least 30 minutes. Hostess was very apologetic & bought our first round of drinks & apps.

   The ambiance and decor is about as good as you can get. Feels like you stepped back in time to a classy establishment. The vibe they're trying to create works and is lovely. Drinks were excellent and just unique enough to feel their own creativity. There's just a couple things that both my wife and I noticed where Chez Roc misses the mark. Even on Open Table it's described as business casual dress, and honestly when you're paying premium for cocktails out, that's kind of expected. The hostess was lovely and nice, however she was wearing blue jeans. Just really didn't match and was curious. Our server was very nice, but you did not feel like you were in a classy cocktail bar, but moreso at a normal family restaurant based upon her verbage and carrying around this electronic order entry device. Which by the way, this is a small place. Does not seem like have 100 tables and multiple servers entering in orders. The live piano ended around 9pm the night we were there shortly after we arrived. It was lovely until it was gone. Wish we experienced more of that. All of this to stay, you should check our Chez Roc, enjoy the atmosphere and see if the service excels these areas we found to be incongruent on this one night. Hard to truly evaluate with only one visit, but this is our initial take. One thing I appreciated was the volume. Compared to Forget Me Nots next door, I could actually have a conversation with my wife without leaning over and yelling into her ear. More of my volume level I appreciate as a 45 year old. Not super old, not super young.

    Great little piano lounge. If you’re looking for larger meal head here before or after dinner. It’s limited with just small snacks. Pianist was fantastic that night and an awesome date night spot as the music is live but you can still manage to have a convo without yelling.

    Highs: Good atmosphere, good lighting, chic design (design on a dime) friendly service. Lows: Grossly overpriced drinks, actual cognac is called brandy and served in whiskey glass, piano music is far too loud and not at all what’s expected of a “piano bar”. Piano player was not exactly talented to put it nicely. Verdict: Chez Roc has a lot of growing up to do and leaves a lot to be desired in sophistication but it has the potential.

    Chez Roc is definitely a vibe. Loved the decor and the mellow pianist plays beautifully. You can enjoy your conversation without leaning in or speaking loudly. The drinks are creative and yummy! We ordered a few small plates and all dishes were perfect. I enjoyed the grape leaves especially. We have two other dates reserved to go back!

    This new spot was unlike any other bar I’ve been to in Denver! Even compared to similar style bars this place takes the cake. Great ambiance amazing drinks and lovely staff! Can’t wait to go back again!
