Every time we return to Chez Pierre, it seems the experience simply gets better and better. On our most recent visit, we tried the Chef's special summer prix fixe menu. And it was terrific, offering a wide choice of both appetizers and entrees as well as some classic desserts. Not only was the cuisine excellent -- the service was outstanding, too. You can't go wrong by dining at Chez Pierre!
GREAT RESTAURANT.....NEVER DISAPPOINTED.....EASY MENU AND GOOD
As usual, we and our guess had a very good meal and excellent service.
We dine out at your restaurant almost once a month (or more) and we always enjoy it.
Loving Pierres, especially since they have joined the Wine Vault! Exceptional food, good service and a real chef on the premises who cares about the food preparation as well as his patrons. It's a small restaurant with tablecloths and an intimate atmosphere. It's definitely one of the best this side of the desert. But shhh, don't tell everybody. Oh, and they have a very reasonable 3-course dinner during the summer.
This first time visit will not be our last as the food was fabulous. More than generous portions of difficult to find, delicious dishes. Steak Tartare, Sweet Breads, Frogs Legs, yum. Prices are reasonable and the 3 course meal has many choices for only $30.
Chez Pierre continues to delight. Sand dabs were delicious and the ratatouille equally tasty. Love!
We love this place. Always great service and good food. We will continue to come back. It is so nice that even in the off season they remain open. In addition they provide valet parking as the lot is small and also accommodates the Kaiser Grill.
went for the steak tartare.. it was not up to my expectations, however my husband had the orange roughy , so delicious and the escargot was good also.....
Chez Pierre Bistro is a wonderful experience, providing an excellent dining experience.
As fine a restaurant there is, anywhere. Chef Pierre is charming and a wicked good chef.
Don't miss this wonderful experience
Good service and good food. Nice ambiance. A nice place to take another couple for dinner.
Excellent food and friendly service, as always! Pierre and his staff are willing to modify foods for my gluten free son and they still taste great!
Excellent food and service. We will definitely make this one of our regular spots.
Chez Pierre is in our top ten desert restaurants. We have been going there since he opened next to Trader Joe's. It is always fun talking with Pierre, that why we go early when it isn't crowded. Pierre even fixed us a small tasting of Sweetbeards that we explained never tried. That's how costumer conscious he is. Oh ... yes. Arturo is a "professional" waiter!
We had a fabulous time! Loved that Pierre went to every table! Can't wait until our next meal at Chez Pierre!!!
The summer menu is great. Lots of options, 3 course, $29.95. The escargot, Caesar salad, veal Milanese, catch of the day, French onion soup, etc. are all great.
We had heard excellent things about Chez Pierre and decided to try it during restaurant week.
Everything was wonderful. I'm so full I wish I could walk home. We are full-time residents of Palm Desert and will
definitely be going back. Thank you Pierre and your whole staff.
We went for first time and ordered from Restaurant Week menu. Everything was great, especially the pate and desserts. We'll be back soon.
Excellent Food! The French onion soup was great. If you order the escargot with the butter and garlic, get ready for everyone else to be dipping their bread in it! The sand dabs have a slight crispness to them and remain light and tasty. The veal pot roast was tender and flavorful. The portions are large. The service is attentive and friendly. We will make this a regular restaurant for us going forward.
Fantastic food with a very creative menu. The menu variety was amazing Frog Legs, Kidneys, and steak Tartare all on the restaurant week menu.
I would give this more than 5 stars if available. The food was fantastic-try the profiteroles for dessert 😀. Chef Pierre came out and greeted each table of visitors which made you feel special. Speaking of special, the menu is great-a good variety of options to choose from. I plan on going back soon.
Great French food (maybe the only) in Palm Desert. Kind of an off the wall spot but well worth it.
The chef was very attentive and stopped by our table more than once to check on everything.
Great food, friendly staff and owner. Made special effort
For my wife's birthday. Great night out.
Pierre is the best chef in the Valley. His food is prepared properly, tastefully and presented beautifully. His menu is varied and very different and has the European flavors. His fish dishes ,steak tartar and liver are unrivaled here . He is a nice man and says hello to his customers.
A long term favorite...always delicious, wait staff always pleasant and helpful. Sometimes not enough of them to handle the crowd....Chef Pierre is great fun and always comes out to personally greet the guests.
Disappointing dinner after enjoying many excellent evenings in the past at Chez Pierre.
While the meal was fine, we missed Pierre's presence.
We continue to enjoy eating at Chez Pierre Bistro. The food is consistently excellent and the service is also excellent. The staff is attentive but not intrusive. I have recommended this restaurant to friends, and would recommend this restaurant to you.
We were celebrating our friend's Birthday. The food was incredible and the service outstanding. The chef even came around to make sure we were satisfied with the meal. This was an incredible experience that we will repeat. Definitely a Neighborhood Gem.
This place never fails to impress. Food is awesome, tasty well presented and the Chief is personable. The quality of food is excellent and presentation very nice. Good place to bring friends from out of town without being pretensive.
Had an enjoyable evening. Chef Pierre was delightful and good fantastic.
Pierre's personal greetings made it special for everyone.
Pierre is one of the finest Chef's of the day! He may not be featured on TV; however, I'll put him up against any one of the Top Chef's of the day.
Expect the finest French cuisine at an incredible value.
Absolutely amazing! Chez Pierre was amazing. Chef greeted us at the door and was wonderful with the kids! Food was spectacular! We had five different entrees and each one was amazing on it's own.
What a wonderful experience at Chez Pierre.
Chef Pierre certainly looks to part. He personally greets each guest at their table. The food is classic French, done beautifully.
Definitely a "find"
And we will be back!
Chez Pierre is like a quick trip to Paris! Authentic cuisine that is great, as well. Chef Pierre is out and about in the dining room, always making sure his guests are happy. As always, a lovely dinner.
The restaurant has a light, airy feel of a modern Paris bistro. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, and nonintrusive. For an appetizer (available as an entree as well) I had a portion of sardines from France, served plain with half a fresh lemon. They were cooked lightly and accented with enough sea salt to provide the impression they had literally been yanked a few minutes earlier from the sea. For my entree, I had a veal pot roast served with a potato gratin, one of the offered specials. The veal was sumptuously tender and the overall dish mouthwateringly delicious. For dessert, I had the Apple Tatin with vanilla ice cream. A lovely meal in every respect. I look forward to returning in the near future and the party of four other people with whom I dined appeared to be equally satisfied.
This is an amazing place. But it can get loud. But it's worth it. It's especially good for individuals who avoid gluten. It's spectacular for those with celiac who MUST not have gluten. The Chef makes a visit to your table with all the guarantees. I ate the escargot, white fish and warm rice pudding. Everything was amazing.
Chef Pierre seldom disappoints. We only get to Palm Desert these days for the Month of March.
Chez Pierre Bistro in one our must go places. If you arrive early like 6:00 it is quiet the noise level only increases as the place fills up.
