Chef Pierre delights his guests with excellent French favourites. His warm hospitality is also matched by la patronne and the terrific staff at Chez Pierre, we look forward to our next visit, merci !
Great place great food great service and lots of fun.
Really liked the endive salad! Excellent. Our waiter, Arturo waited on us last time we were there. He gives excellent service!
Loved the pate with the bread. Husband loved your escargot.
He ordered sweet breads and really liked them.
I ordered the Braised Beef Bourguignon, Parppadelle Pasta. EXCELLENT.
Need to turn the music up so we can hear it.
we had a lovely dinner, the food was very good the service was excellent, but most of all, Chef Pierre was an absolute delight with a very good sense of humour. He made us feel as if we were at his home having a nice dinner.
Wonderful food. Chef Pierre personally greets you and comes to check on you during your meal.
Excellent service....in fact, perfect service. Best of all the restaurants we have frequented in Palm Desert....and we have been to many.
Our first night in Palm Desert, and Chez Pierre Bistro was a perfect choice for dinner. Our flight was delayed, so we called the restaurant and they readily accommodated us with a later table. The service was excellent, and the owners were friendly and attentive. Interesting food choices, our selections were very tasty.
Enjoyed delicious French comfort food...Boeuf Bourguignon,Cassoulet,escargots,ect..like my mother used to make ..Reminded me of a Paris neighborhood restaurant...Will definitely go back
The food was exquisite and the service impeccable, as one would expect in a fine French restaurant. The sole negative is that it can get quite noisy. It's a REALLY nice touch that Chef came out to greet each table. This is our go-to for special occasions - - do not miss the decadent chocolate mousse!
The duck was the best I have had since I had duck in Sarlat, France 2 years ago. We had the goat cheese and onion tart as well and the pastry was the lightest I have ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Chef Pierre comes out to see everyone during the evening as well!
Wonderful wait staff! The food was very good but not exceptional. I had sandabs that I felt were slightly over breaded. My husband had veal special which he thought was just okay. The vegetables were excellent. This is a nice quiet place which is hard to come by anymore so it was great for meeting friends.
excellent location for a quiet dinner with friends . fish dishes are special.
Great place I will be back. Service was great, just had fun there.
Excellent service food and wine list. Would recommend highly to locals and visitors to the valley.
Great meal. Attentive service. Wide wine selection. Also wide entree selection. Octopus salad great. Apple tart great.
Loved it the 2nd time we went and totally loved it the 1st time we went!
The food is excellent. Several French favorites not found in many Bistros (e.g., Frog Legs). We were having a late Valentine's Day dinner. I had the San Dabs which were delicious. My husband had the Hanger Steak which he thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant is small and when filled, it can feel a little cramped and the noise level can be a bit high. otherwise it is a great dining spot.
Although the food was delicious, my biggest problem is that the place is very small and all the tables were just about "on top of each other". The ambiance could have been better if there was room for more intimate tables. But overall, great food.
Delicious food and excellent service without costing you an arm & a leg
EXCELLENT FOOD AND ATTENTIVE, IMPECCABLE SERVICE
We are Canadian visitors who enjoy dining out in the Valley. Chez Pierre is our number one. Friendly staff (special kudos to Edgar and Arturo and Francisco and Roxanne.) No loud background music. Excellent and changing menu. Real value for money.
$ mains. Capsule to overcooked and inedible. Fish overcooked and rubbery. Vegetables never arrived at table. Last year everything was great but Sunday’s meal failed to come close.
Our dining experience at Chez Pierre Bistro was absolutely outstanding. This little gem is a must whether visiting the desert, or if you are a full time resident. The cuisine is beyond delicious, service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is quaint. Can't wait to go back.
Wonderful dining experience.
Spot on wonderful food - loved the floating island dessert!
Super! They never miss. We eat here whenever we're in PSP
Cassoulet with a glass of Cote de Rhone was delicious. Service was impeccable. Restaurant was full but it's a pretty quiet clientele so you can have a conversation.
The onion and goat cheese tart was lovely; delicate puff pastry, caramelized onions and cheese. Escargot were also yummy. The cassoulet was more solid, as a casserole, not like a soup; delish. The wild boar and pasta was delectable. The boar was very mild in flavor, not gamey at all. Profiteroles for dessert were wonderful. Bread and pate as a starter were delightful. All in all, a delicious evening.
Great first experience, the Casulet was as good as promised, the escargot was very yummy and French onion soup was out of this world,, pappardelle bolognese pasta was very good, apple tart was ridiculously delicious, and our server was great,,,
Our table enjoyed the calamari steak and veal piccata. Both were very good. The house liver pate and fresh bread were excellent, as usual.
Excellent ,food was great service fantastic
Chef Pierre is always hospitable and greets all who dine in his restaurant. The food is excellent but many of our friends are “put off” by the organ meat entrees. He always has specials to include fish and vegetable choices.
Each time we go to Chez Pierre, the chef/ owner stops by your table and personally greets you and (with his great sense of humor) explains the many specials for the evening . It is a wonderful, welcoming touch!
Very nice place, the owner (chef) and his wife were delightful and visited our table 2-3 times to be sure we were satisfied. The restaurant participated in the Wine Vault of the Desert program as well. Could not have been better
Chez Pierre was a perfect choice for a group of No Cal friends. The menu was interesting, and our dishes were delicious. The Chef's appearances at our table (more than once) were fun and lively. It was a terrific night and a great dining experience!
THIS WAS A FABULOUS EXPERIENCE OF FOOD,WINE AND CHARM
We felt the waiter was rude, probably won't go back again. Food was OK but nothing special for the price.
Small, french oriented restaurant. Thought the reviews were somewhat overrated, but the meals were good as was the limited wine list.
An excellent choice for a quiet meal , with attentive service and good food
This restaurant is consistently excellent. The food is consistently prepared. Our wait staff, Auturo, was attentive and welcoming but not intrusive. My husband and I highly recommend this restaurant.
