Chez Pierre Bistro
It’s no surprise that Chez Pierre has been voted The Best French Restaurant of the Desert for the past six years and has been rated “Dining Excellence” by Zagat and Gayot.
You may be tempted to sign up in Chef Pierre’s cooking classes every Monday followed by lunch.
Great service and you have to love the visit by the chef!
Delicious food and very welcoming space! Best mussels I have ever had.
Always great food and impeccable serve.
Great menu, great service and great food. One of our favorite restaurants anywhere.
Chez Pierre provided a great setting, numerous great food choices and excellent attentiveness from the staff. We celebrated 2 special events the evening we were there with friends. It was superb. We will return as our two visits now have been consistent and extraordinary.
We had the kidneys. We could still taste the alcohol in the sauce.
However, the pate’ was very good.
Wonderful and charming
Everything was wonderful as always. Had the lamb and it was cooked perfect.
our favorite place!!! love all he staff and chief ! Valet parking... all special
I love this Bistro. The food, atmosphere, wait staff and owner are above and beyond!
Have been to Chez Pierre before and feel the food is good, atmosphere is good as well as the service. However, this time we were a little disappointed. We were celebrating our anniversary (54th!) and it was noted in the reservation. It's not a mandatory or a totally expected thing but good restaurants generally give a complimentary desert at the end of the meal or something. We didn't get that but we didn't even get a word of "Congratulations". Not a big thing ...just a bit disappointing after sharing our evening with this restaurant. They should have been a little bit more attentive.
Always a pleasure to dine at Chez Pierre Bistro. Highly recommended for a small group, or a romantic evening for 2. Lots of French favorites on the menu, and everything Chef Pierre prepares is really good!
We’ve been here about four times and it is consistently very good. Small and intimate, friendly atmosphere and good service. The food has always been good. We had the Sand dabs and veal piccata - both were excellent. The chef always makes his way out to say hello and to make sure all is well. A favorite spot for many locals.
As always great service and excellent food. We went two times during our visit. It is great to see the same staff year after year. I highly recommend this place
Fantastic. We are 10 year customers of Chez Pierre. Love it. Always fabulous.
A visit to Chez Pierre is a visit to a Parisian Bistro. Chef Pierre always finds time to visit your table personally to discuss special dishes that evening ,allergies ,and any thing that will prevent your visit to be a memorable one.Onion Soup is a must appetizer, but many unique french menu options are available.
My group this past visit enjoyed Veal Kidney's, a very special pasta, Duck and Veal . Desserts are intriguing .but who has room for more ? I hated to pass up the Chocolate Sauce Profiterole.
Save the air fare to Paris and experience Chez Pierre !
One of if not the best restaurant in Palm Desert.
Lovely neighborhood gem. Authentic traditional French cuisine. Menu prix fixe is an incredible deal. The patrons are mostly young at heart and, I would guess, locals. So if you’re looking for a quiet, pleasant evening with genuinely delicious French cuisine, and even a warm hello from the chef at some point during the soirée, you will not be disappointed. We’ll definitely be back!
Enjoyable evening, excellent food, well priced. Visit by owner chef was a special treat.
Fabulous service. Pate absolutely amazing. Portions too large. Great calf’s liver.
One of our favorite restaurants. Food is always excellent; wait staff is wonderful. It's a small family run business that has attained a great reputation. Love it.
Brought my daughter for her 17th birthday. They went out of their way to make it special.
Very nice, great service and food!
Wonderful, Chef Pierre greets his guests.
Chez PIERRE has become our favorite restaurant for authentic French cooking. The French know how to expertly prepare fish and Chez Pierre does an outstanding job with fish. Their Sand Dabs are the best I have ever had. My husband loves the Sweetbreads, or veal dishes. All in all Chez Peirre is an amazing Bistro. I highly recommend.
Always one of our neighborhood favorites. Consistently excellent food and service. Chef Pierre works the room. We love him and the restaurant
When dining at Chez Pierre you can almost imagine yourself in France. The casual French-style decor and warm, personal greetings from the owners make this a special place. Pierre's training and work as a chef in Lyon is evident in the quality of preparation of the food. In more than 15 years, we have never had a meal there that was not absolutely delicious.
We live in Idyllwild and drove down to the desert for an overnight. So many fine restaurants to choose from in the desert but it had been a few months since our last dinner at Chez Pierre so that was my choice. The meal was superb. The service, attentive as always. The value is exceptional, especially in the summertime! Wonderful dinner.
Great service great food
We loved the meal. It was my husbands Birthday but we missed not seeing Chef Pierre!
The Summer Prix Fixe is not to be missed! Chef prepares three (3) delicious courses for $29.95. Everything we tried: the Osso Buco, the Steak Tartare, the Vichysoisse, Goat Cheese Salad, Tarte Tatin, and Creme Brulee was outstanding! Excellent service, quiet atmosphere, great pate served with the bread. One of our favorite places in the area!
Everything was perfect as on previous visits, the food was excellent, service was helpful and attentive, the 3 course prize fixe for the Summer is a bargain due to the choices on the menu and the generous portions. I love the way Chef Pierre makes it a point to talk to every guest. Marvelous!
It’s always good to have the chef/owner visible in a restaurant. Drinks are good and food is great. Try the escargot.
We went during Restaurant Week, so the pricing for 3 courses was only $39.00. We had a party of 10 and everything was great. All our meals were very good and cooked to our liking. The chef and owner talked to us 3 different times to make sure all was well. We will go back
Chez Pierre Bistro is a delightful establishment with a never-ending desire to please the patrons, who seem to come from all walks of life, but, once inside the restaurant are equally mesmerized by the outstanding cuisine, the attentive service, and the pleasant and convivial atmosphere. What a wonderful evening, we had! We are eager to experience many more. A reservation is a must on many nights!
Dinner was fabulous, the complimentary pate at the start, was delectable.
We had the onion goat cheese tart, escargot, orange roughy, rice pudding and beignets. Everything was excellent. Beautifully presented by thoughtful servers. The chef, Pierre makes the rounds to all the tables to welcome everyone as an honored guest. A great dining experience from start-to the last drop of yummy chocolate sauce on a warm beignet.
Chef Pierre continues to do a wonderful job of top quality food and presentation.
We LOVE the pate they always serve first. Also, Chef Pierre always comes to the table to make sure everything is OK.
Our meal was delicious in every way and even more if that is possible. The sweetbreads are some of the best we have every tasted including in France.
Oh, the profiteroles with the dark chocolate sauce - to die for!!
We can hardly wait to go back.
Chez Pierre is one of our most favorite dining spots, and we have never been disappointed -- just like on our recent visit during Restaurant Week. Although the restaurant was completely full, the cuisine and service were absolutely outstanding! Chef Pierre and his wife, Esther, visited our table several times to welcome us and ensure that we enjoying our visit -- and we most certainly were! We could not recommend Chez Pierre more highly!
