My partner’s scallops were delicious as was the soup and our appetizer. My pork tenderloin, however, was terrible. It was extremely dry and the potatoes were lukewarm. The waiter never made it by to check in on how our meal was, so I did not have a chance to share my displeasure. Therefore, he did not have a chance to make it right. I left feeling dissatisfied after spending $150. One should never feel dissatisfied after spending that much money on a meal—that is a week’s worth of groceries. Not sure Chez Moi will be on my list again.
Adorable spot with amazingly attentive service. Outdoor seating must be lovely in nice weather. Nice wine list, cute bar and pleasant background music. Food was good- we ordered pretty pedestrian starters, entrees and desserts, but there were tastier sounding options to try on next visit.
Lovely atmosphere. Attentive service and great French bistro food
Their back room is dreadful. Uncomfortable, packed and entirely way too bright. For the food, I could’ve made a better onion tart, their fries were soggy, and the vegetarian casoulet was flavorless and unimaginative. Our server was lovely though.
Anniversary dinner. Shared the Duck entree, the escargot and garlic bulb appetizers, the special beet and truffle salad, and the creme brûlée and chocolate mousse for dessert. French 75s were excellent. Great meal, and good service.
Because hubby loves cassoulet, we decided to try Chez Moi. It was definitely worth it. The cassoulet was AMAZING. I had the Boeuf Bourguignon. It also was mouth-watering.
Since this was the day after Valentine's Day, they had some of their specials still available, like their Foie Gras Terrine was one of the best we ever had.
It is a fun place where people enjoy themselves. If you are expecting a small quiet intimate romantic restaurant, skip this. If you want to enjoy the atmosphere, the food and service, you must try this.
Excellent food and service, great neighborhood restaurant. Dominique, owner, speaks with each table to make guests feel welcome, nice touch to your dining experience.
Way more cramped for Valentine’s Day. Unpleasant.
Lovely place on of our favorites.
I'm happy to discover this hidden french gem. Thou can tell they take pride there in quality- taste and presentation of the food they serve.
Excellent place
Nice service
Enjoyed the ambiance
Fantastic wine list
Good was as expected- excellent
A great log-time neighborhood spot that trumps the new comers.
Strongly recommended
It was a very romantic spot
Went in for Chicago restaurant week and the ambiance was great, I loved it! I had the salmon tart with arugula which was a bigger portion than i expected which was pleasantly surprising and then I had the trout as the main course which was buttery, garlic goodness! For dessert I had creme brûlée which was great but my friend had the other dessert, it was a cake and it was fantastic!
Service was not good. We sat for 15 mins before being attended to. Food was hit and miss. Two of the dishes were good, two were not The duck sandwich tasted like the duck was old-- like they were trying to get rid of it by covering it in sauce.
Always lovely
This restaurant is just amazing! Food was awesome, service great, music very appropriate. I will go back for sure!
A wonderful restarant with French food and plenty of ambience.
The food is beautifully prepared and delicious.
Brunch is a must for brunch aficionados.
Food was cold. Manager was rude.
Excellent service! Good food. Great for a date night.
Excellent bistro food, quiet with lovely ambience .
Food was quite good. However, service was dreadful - wrong order given to us, 20 minute wait for dessert. Manager spent entire evening talking to friends at the bar.
We went to the restaurant after a matinee play so we were there early.
We found the food and the drinks to be excellent. I had the stuffed pork chop which I will certainly have again. My wife and fish and loved it.
The restaurant is a nice size and the noise level is perfect for conversation.
Highly recommend this place.
Exceeded expectations! French onion soup was best my wife had ever had. Lamb shank, drop the mic. Champagne and foie gras for appetizer, not to be missed. Service was friendly, efficient, kind. Entire staff has a palpable excitement for the food.
The night started out with no valet parking during a snow storm and so perhaps are experience was tainted by that. Food was bland. I had mussels and risotto both of which were lacking flavor. Our waiter recommended the mussels and they fell short . My husband had the duck which he greatly enjoyed.
Ate tonight.the meal started off strange. We felt like we were being rushed but we slowed it down. The server seemed nervous but provided top notch service. We started off with soup. Wife had the French onion which was excellent I had the lobster bisque which was excellent as well. Oh and the Martinis were great. This is where things changed. I ordered the steak special she ordered the salmon dish. It seemed like we ordered from two different restaraunts. The Salmon was some of the best I have ever tasted. The steak was some of the worst. It was cooked to med rare which I like but was very fatty with no seasoning. A little salt would have helped but not saved the terrible piece of meat. I was expecting Bistro 110 quality of Steak and Frites for a steak and Frites special. It wasn't. I was shocked at the sizzler quality of the steak special. I didn't finish it. Back to the Salmon. That dish was phenomal. I wish the steak was that good
The foods are delicious. I would definitely go aback and try out other items on the menu. Staff were attentive and welcoming. The noise level was bit high, but not to the extent we couldn't have a conversation. Overall I would recommend this place.
Very relaxed atmosphere, food came in large portions, staff was friendly and helpful. Will come back to explore the full menu!
Whenever we dine at Chez Moi, we feel like we're in France - at a bistro with an attentive chef/owner who wants to fill us with comfortable yet elevated French fare. We love this cozy Lincoln Park restaurant and are always happy with the food and service.
Wonderful food! Service and ambiance are excellent but the food tops it all. Their. Cassioleit (forgive the spelling) is incredible. Wine selections are good but pricy, still overall this place is highly recommended.
We had a great time eating there before a show and our server made sure our food arrived in a timely manner. 6⭐
Very good food and service. A little noisy, but comfortable surroundings and good wine list.
A really good French Restaurant in a great location. Run by a wonderful, warm and talented couple. We just loved it.
Great time. Thanks
As usual the food was outstanding. Amazing french onion soup. My beef wellington was superb. And my wife’s beef bourguignon was it’s equal. I highly recommend Chez Moi.
Host and staff are awesome. We had a great night thank you!
Everything was outstanding the only thing that was a bit questionable was the size of the onion tart, I believe it used to be much bigger. It’s always my favorite part of my meal there-needless to say it was still incredible as was my skate fish entree! The Brittany Cake with fromage ice cream and caramel sauce-second to none!!! My favorite French Restaurant In the city!
Great food and good service. Had a little trouble with gluten free options—it took too long to offer a gf version of risotto, and when it arrived it was undercooked, not creamy. The rest of the meal was good, though my son contended with a lot of bones in his fish. We’ll definitely return.
Delicious food ,top-notch service , with great knowledge of the menu great recommendations and most importantly service is there when you need them with a very comfortable dining room
I wish we would have tried Chez Moi sooner!!! The food was outstanding and we’ll definitely be back! The only disappointment was the Bistro 110 roasted garlic, which is nothing like it was at Bistro 110. But now we know and won’t order it again!
I was most excited about the appetizers when I looked at the menu. They were average at best for me. I expected deep, savory flavors and got somewhat watery, acidic results on virtually every one. The entrees, however, exceeded expectations and were excellent. The desserts were even better. Excellent value priced wine lists. I will be back.
