Amazing! Great location, atmosphere and food was outstanding. Went for breakfast and still speak about it a week later! Thank you.
surprisingly expensive lunch with wine for three people. service was inconsistent.
My husband and I celebrated out 16th anniversary there and it was superb. The service was first class and the food was exquisite!! The ambiance was warm and friendly with a nice French flare ... included several dining options either on the front patio, inside dining or on the side yard terrace. The restaurant also boasts a wide variety of homemade pastries and deserts, a full bar, and a wonderful wine selection. We even ran into our server the next afternoon and he greeted us with a smile and gave several additional dining options for our next nights stay. The entire experience was first class!

Great atmosphere. Outdoor seating in the little alley was a wonderful place for enjoying the fall weather. Service started out good but went downhill. The food was very mediocre. Some arrived cold, and everything seemed like it had been prepared ahead of time and heated.
Charming French feel. Delicious crepes. Safe outdoor eating. Highly recommended.
The food rates a 10 but the service a 1. We were seated at a wonderful outdoor table and the ambiance could not have been better. My wife and I both had French Onion soup and it was terrific, (I started with a garden salad which was lacking so I would not repeat.) My wife had the short ribs and said they were as good as any she had ever tasted and I Beef Bourguignon, (I had always wanted to try it,) and it was as tender and flavorful as almost any beef dish I'd had. Unfortunately, the meal was marred, (ruined?) by the service. After we ordered our meals we went over an hour, (literally - 60 minutes,) without a peep from our server. I twice had to ask the busboy for a beer, (unfortunately he did not speak English,) and we asked another server for help a time or two. We would go back in heartbeat for the food, but we would be sure to ask for another server.
Wonderful food, wine and dessert in the heart of Santa Fe
Excellent across the board. Lovely alley setting and delicious food.
The food was excellent. It came out at the right temperature and was seasoned beautifully. Due to Covid, we sat outside. There was not much atmosphere and there was not any music.
Service has always been a point of contention. Poor.
This is our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe! We live 40 minutes away and worth the drive. The best french restaurant outside of France
Lots to choose from. Wow, breakfast was a definite repeat- especially the fresh out of the oven almond croissant !
Excellent food, great service. We love Chez Mamou. Highly recommend
Great alternative when you can’t fly to Paris. One of our “must go to” restaurants in Santa Fe
Fantastic find in Santa Fe! It will be a regular for us. Great wine list too.
Terrible. Had brunch reservations at Sunday noon, showed up on time and no tables were available. Waited 25 min. After being seated, no waiter ever came to our table for another 20 min and other waiters and the manager would not make eye contact. There was a line of other patrons that also had reservations that were not honored. Poorly mismanaged restaurant in a good location.
Everything was wonderful...especially the wait staff !
Chez Mamou has been a must dining experience whenever we are in Santa Fe. We sometimes eat here twice once for breakfast and then dinner. Love the location, great people watching and just a short walk from Canyon Rd, the square and lots of shopping. The people working at Chez Mamou are always very attentive. We had a dinner special this visit that was spectacular, fresh Halibut with a Mediterranean sauce. This is one of the only place I get Escargot. There breakfast pastry’s are excellent. Chez Mamou is just an easy enjoyable place to dine.
The in-house French Pastry chef offerings are outstanding, as are the incredible omelettes. Request the table for two beneath the Apricot tree.
Best charcuterie plate I’ve had in a long time. Husband loved the frog legs.
Great meal, wonderful setting and service.
Dinner across the menu is quite good for a French cafe in the high desert. The onion soup and mussel appetizers were delicious. The rack of lamb was perfectly prepared. Good wines.
(Just do better with the side salad--it was just boring.)
Excellent food, service and outdoor dining. Great prices for quality and quantity of food
The duck was very good. The salmon appetizer was excellent. The desert was not the best and no where taste like French desert.
Excellent duck salad and French onion soup, as I was looking for a light meal. Friendly service along and a quaint atmosphere.
We eat at Chez Mamou every time we are in Santa Fe. Delicious food with great service!!
Service was great. The back patio was very nice. Ordered a bottle of wine, beat salad and scallops. Everyone liked their food.
Great place fo dine in!
The patio is quiet, secluded and inviting. Very cozy!! Lunch was delicious. The staff was most helpful and pleasant. The restaurant is doing a lovely job in spite of the corona virus restrictions. I applaud all those who contribute to the endeavor.
Joaquin, our server, was fantastic. He made an already lovely place a memorable experience.
The food at Chez Mamou was excellent, as always. This is one of the rare places in Santa Fe where you can experience authentic European cuisine, as well as modern American cuisine. The only short-coming of this lovely restaurant is the slowness of service. Everyone in town knows it, and jokes "meet me at Chez Mamou, if you have a couple hours to spare. " That said, our waitress this time was lovely, gracious and kind. It's just that we had to wait for each stage of our meal, trying to flag her down to order, even though the restaurant was not very busy. It seems the management needs to find a way to organize their staff better, so that this lovely place can live up to its potential.
Second time here - enjoy this place immensely
We sat outside in the alleyway and had a delightful meal
Everything was fantastic as usual @ Chez Mamou!
Incredible meal and incredible ambiance for the perfect date night!
We were a party of four. All agreed that the service was impeccable. Food was of the highest quality, and the preparation and presentation was what you would expect at a first class French restaurant. But the prices were moderate. The food, service, ambiance and prices were all five star. What else could you ask for? No negatives here. One of Santa Fe's hidden treasures.
This was second time that I received horrible service. It took 20 minutes before the waiter came to ask if I would like coffee. I had to flag him down to order breakfast or get refills on coffee. The waitstaff walked by me as if I didn’t exist.
This was not our first time to dine here. One never knows what to expect during these challenging times for restaurants. We were not disappointed as the food and service are being maintained at high levels. We were surprised at the extensive menu given the paucity of customers owing to pandemic restrictions. Our congratulations to the staff and the restaurant in making this a worthwhile experience.
Excellent food, including the best French onion soup I've ever had!
Great service and affordable prices.
Wonderful cuisine and service. Props to Kimberlie, our fantastic server! Excellent fare in a perfect setting.
