Our menu has changed little over the past 80 years. Quality fish and seafood prepared and served in a traditional way. The house specialty is the Dover sole meunière. Our chefs take great pride in this dish, which used to be de-boned table-side, but now done just before serving. Our lobster bisque takes 2 days to create and the classic cream of tomato remains virtually unchanged for decades. We have stayed true to cuisine classique, resisting the popular tide of nouvelle cuisine. Traditionally prepared quality seafood; unadorned and unembellished.
Great atmosphere and service. The scallops were excellent!
Happy to have visited there. Raphael was kind and attentive. Hope to have another opportunity yo return.
The food was exceptionally tasty. The service was great. I wish I had more time in Montreal so that I could go there for dinner again.
The prices make it so that this place can not be put on my regular rotation. Over $300 tax and tip for two soups, two lobsters one dessert, two drinks and one glass of wine. The price all in should have been south of $250. The lobster was a bit over done. The tomato soup was a step or two above Campbells, it did not live up to it's hype at all. Very nice place for a special occasion, but would not be my first choice for sea food on a regular basis. Service was good.
Great meal, excellent service including very handy valet parking service.
A perfect dinner. The 1938 tomato soup best I have ever had. Carpaccio, salmon, fish & chips all perfect. Quebec Maple syrup/white cake and ice cream delicious. And the owner, Benoit, and his son, William, both professional and charming.
On our first trip to beautiful Montreal, we had a chance encounter with a local who recommended Chez Delmo. We are so happy we followed his advice! The restaurant is romantic and charming with the best Oysters Mornay we have ever had! The food is exceptional and the service outstanding. Our waiter was the owner’s son, whose knowledge and charm made our visit even more memorable. Highly recommend!
Fabulous variety of fish dishes & seafood! Try the Seafood Poutine it was delish as well as the Fish & Chips, Char & Lobster Roll.
Despite a bumpy start with a rude waiter, the service was good and the food was top quality. Prices are steep. Will certainly go there again.
Simply spectacular! The food, service and cocktails were all absolutely top shelf. We’ve been here a couple times and it has always been a special place.
The fish dishes are great and excellent wine selection. Very friendly staff.
Chez Delmo est un restaurant sûr, toujours fidèle à lui-même.
C'est définitivement un endroit fort agréable pour une rencontre d'affaires et une dégustation de plats de poisson de qualité hors norme.
Had not not been at the restaurant for several years
It was a great lunch overall
Outstanding food and service.
William was a perfect server for our delightful dinner at Chez Delmo.
This was amazing seafood. Service was great. Valet parking. Good wine list. First time but certainly not last.
Décevant le prix beaucoup trop élevé pour la qualité du repas.Les portions sont généreuses mais peu de saveur.Nous nous attendions à des sauces un peu hors de l’ordinaire Un repas que nous aurions pu faire facilement à la maison.
Great place for lunch, and family gathering thank you
Food was excellent and the restaurant was filled. The waiters were very helpful but they needed more waiters.
Our food was amazing. If I lived here I would be there often
Classic seafood restaurant. Nothing new but still good!
Parfait du début à la fin! Très bon service et plats!
A couple visiting Montreal for several weeks and have dined at many of the top notch places. Chez Delmo was disappointing. Food was good but the restaurant seemed understaffed for two large related parties (one in bar area and one in the rear dining room). Our only option was to sit in the rear which was not ideal. Our waiter was distracted by the 10 top next to us. I. My opinion it was not a good value compared to other comparable restaurants.
Just an awesome restaurant with family members greeting and serving you. Fantastic
Tristan was an excellent waiter! Great dining experience!
Great lunch with amazing food. I will be back for sure
Came up from Boston..... food was very good.... honestly the service was tough..... don’t like a waiter who has an attitude when you aren’t speaking French...... he was rude.... he was not attentive to us but was to everyone else around us who just happened to speak French to him....
Better places to go in Montreal with a lot better attitude
First time in Montreal.. wasn’t sure where to go and this place was close to my hotel.. so tried it out. Entire restaurant is so friendly, I adored my server, he was knowledgeable, friendly, made my experience that much better. Had the lobster bisque, king crab, and pouding chomeur which was the highlight! Food was good, atmosphere was cozy, recommend and would go back.
Great restaurant, we go regularly when we happen to be in Montreal.
The menu was creative and the food was excellent. We also enjoyed great service.
Everything was wonderful. The servers were attentive an offered get food & drink options. The owner came to speak with us an was so nice.
The service excelled and the food was phenomenal!!! Charming decor. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Mussels are divine. Truly. Drinks were yummo. Will visit again.
that was my first time at this restaurant and i was treated like friend. My lobster was excellent i Will definately go back.
I ordered a plate of salad, it was the worst salad that I ever had, it was huge portion and tasteless. Told waiter & still charged me. Also I was forced to give tip (19%) to the waiter because he insisted despite the bad food. I left restaurant by paying $120 with disappointment.
