   This is probably the best food in Rochester. Short ribs were fall off the bone tender, the lamb was cooked to perfection. The flavors were complex and not easy to place (I.e. could not be easily recreated by an amateur), but definitely delicious. I highly recommend and will continued to go to this restaurant for special occasions.

   Great food from a variety of cuisines! Chef knows what he's doing and brings a lot of energy into every dish. Safe for those with gluten allergies/celiac - just ask for a list of recommended dishes!

   Was completely impressed by my experience at Chez, the minute I walked in. Great ambiance & very friendly staff. Menu is broad with interesting culinary influences from around the world. We ordered the tasting menu & it was outstanding! Highly recommend. Wine pairings were fantastic too.

    The server smelled bad and it tainted the whole experience. The food was good, but some of the dishes missed the mark of greatness. I don’t think salmon belongs in a bouillabaisse - a sturdy whitefish would have gone better. Some of the pricing for off menu items was surprisingly high. The atmosphere of the place is nice (if not for the aroma around the waiter, unfortunately).

    Not just a meal but an experience. The chef is very friendly, and makes time for every guest. This is Michelin quality food and service. Best rack of lamb I have ever had.

    My wife and I had a great night. The ambience and the food was outstanding very personal from the waiter to the owner. We will be back! We highly recommend this place! We’ve lived here, all of our lives, and this is definitely in our top five. If you’re lucky enough, you may be able to get the sample the warm port wine, which is the best in the world.

    Me and my Gf had the best dinner date of our lives. Would 100% recommend this place for a date. Definitely on the spendy side of places to eat but more than worth it. The food, experience, and service was above and beyond and worth every dollar!

    I had very high expectations for our first trip to this restaurant as we loved eating at the Chef's previous restaurant. The food flavors didn't wow me like they had at Casablanca. The service was very slow and the restaurant was not busy the night we were there. I want to say we will venture back, but I'm uncertain. At Casablanca the chef used to come out and talk to each table, creating a more personal experience, and that did not occur either.

    We previously enjoyed an amazing experience at this restaurant, including a visit to the table by the chef, and a chef-lead “gratitude toast,” where each guest was offered a glass of bubbly and made part of the toast by the chef. Our food was amazing, and it was a special evening. Last night we hosted friends, visiting from out of town. I selected Chez Bojji because I thought would offer the most unique fine-dining experience in Rochester. We arrived and were seated. Our server, Natalie, arrived at the table, exclaiming, “what, you don’t have menus yet?” She returned with the menus and told us she was sorry there was a limited menu for the evening, as the chef was out of the country, and the sous chef was cooking. We ordered cocktails and a charcuterie board. One of the cocktails included a frothed egg white in the recipe. When most of the drinks arrived, our server said there were no eggs, so that cocktail could not be made. It took another 10-15 minutes for the backup drink to arrive. No eggs? The charcuterie board looked fine and had lots of cheese. It came with four little pieces of bread. I asked for more, it took 20 minutes (two pieces), and some pieces were burned . One of the cheeses had an orange-colored fruit. One of the guests is allergic to mango. So we asked our server what the fruit was, she didn’t know. She came back and said it was mango, but one of the guests was sure it was apricot. She should have known, with certainty, what it was. Two of the meals were great (Chicken Tikka Masala and the Swiss Double Smashed burger). Two of us had the “Funky Buddha.” The crab cakes were fine, nothing out of the ordinary, but the rice was hard, as in not completely cooked, and really ruined our experiences. We were disappointed and a little embarrassed in front of our guests, after talking up this restaurant in advance of their visit. The service was meh. FWIW, we did tip 18%, because we’re not jerks.     Our waiter was amazing …. Friendly and knowledgeable! The food was amazing. Such interesting flavor combinations and it all went together perfectly. I’d eat here again and again if I lived in Rochester.

    A friend and I had dinner there on New Years Eve. We enjoy sitting at the bar and we were directly in front of the kitchen. As you might imagine it was a very busy night with all tables and most of the bar area filled with diners. The kitchen and servers were slammed but were keeping up with food and beverage orders. What struck me the most is how well orchestrated everything was, and the mood was upbeat, cheerful, and respectful. Chef Youness Bojji and his staff are first rate! I especially recommend their Wednesday date night special. It includes a shared appetizer, two entrees, wine, and a shared dessert. It's $65.00 for two people.

    This is our second time to Chez Bojji. The fist time was nothing less then amazing and this time was the same. We had a big group and everyone loved the food and atmosphere. The server was spectacular. The food was amazing. Chef came to the table and explained things he has to prepare. Can’t wait to get back there.

    Always enjoy Chez Bojji. Love the way Bojji comes out to take care of the clientele. Last night he saw us struggling with our baby, and Bojji gathered the baby up and showed him around for several minutes allowing us to eat. How kind is that! Food outstanding as usual. Thanks!
