Excellent meal and service.

Great staff, amazing food, fantastic atmosphere. My wife and I really enjoyed the evening here.

Our waitress was outstanding as was the hostess. Looking forward to visiting again.

Last time we went it was good , but since hiring the meeting chef from what was Tabree wow! Food was amazing , we had the rabbit Ragu and the seafood pasta both were fantastic! Happy to see the food was so good!

Good food. I feel like the restaurant is over hyped. I was expecting a more up scale type feel. I was very confused when our meal came out with French fries and we had no option of a side. Also was thrown off there was no veggie included. We did get everything very fast. Good to try out since we have never been but probably won’t ever go back.

It was nice to be out entertaining customers again. I thought the food, service, and prices were fair. I appreciate the socially distanced tables and making me feel safe.

We were not given silver ware had to ask for some, ordered 350 dollars worth of food and drinks and were placed in a private room were they proceeded to close the doors after we were seated. Couldn’t help but notice that there was a black person in our party and the only other table in the room with us was a black couple. Seemed a little prejudice to me. Will not be returning, if I’m paying 350 for dinner I shouldn’t have to ask for silverware and be secluded from the rest of the restaurant.

Best meal I have had in years. Short rib melts in your mouth. Halibut very flaky and delicious. Meats & cheeses hit the spot. Carrots were ridiculous. Service was great. My wife and I were blown away. Can’t wait to come back.

Absolutely amazing good. Everything was great. The service was phenomenal. I’m profoundly hard of hearing, it was nice that the waitress took her time and was not rushing me even though I knew she was busy.

We always enjoy our dining experience here. The general manager stopped by our table which was very nice. He told us there’s a new chef so it was nice to try different menu. Everything from service to quality of food & cocktails was perfect!

The Curtiss Hotel is such a beautiful landmark in downtown Buffalo. The decor of Chez Ami is exquisite. Tables were adequately spaced but fortunately all were full on a Friday evening. I had the halibut, which was outstanding. Still self-parking because of COVID, but there is a convenient lot right across the street. Great choice for dining in the city.

My last visit was in September and I enjoyed a specific dish that no longer was on the menu. After requesting at our next stay, they were able to accommodate with what they had and the dish was perfection! Manager went above and beyond to ensure our experience was beyond worth our stay! Will be coming back again!

Food was great. Service was ok. We watched the food runner take each meal he brought out to 1-3 different tables before getting it right...which isn’t great with COVID protocols. Get the kid a table schematic to study!

We were seated on the patio portion near the windows. As I observed the surrounding areas, all of the minorities were seated in this section and the “nicer” dining area held only Caucasian guests. Food quality was poor for the price and the restaurant offered no other vegetable option besides brussel sprouts. Very poor experience.

Disappointed with the food and service at Chez Ami. This was our second time there and it did not come close to the great experience we had there a year ago. The service was really poor. Our waitstaff did not check on us after we received our food and was just not attentive. Even water glasses did not get refilled. The food was mediocre at best. Maybe they have had a chef change or just getting accustomed to having dine in customers again? Guacamole toast seemed like the guacamole was from a can, not fresh- no taste and gummy. The accompanying salad was barely dressed. Our party also had two breakfast burritos. The veggie one was fine but nothing special and the El Capitan was so bland- did not come out with the promised salsa verde. We asked for it once we could find someone to help but by the time it arrived we had finished eating. Overall, a disappointing meal.

Sunday brunch food was disappointing and just ok at best...!so we expected much better from such a beautiful venue.

The food was delicious but we waited an hour to get it. I was disappointed that the manager didn’t acknowledge it and the server was the one who had to keep apologizing.

We went out for one of the first times since all the COVID restrictions for Valentines Day. Loved the seafood pasta and my husband had an amazing surf and turf.

Potas fritas were excellent. Short menu. Best item was out of stock though.

The new menu and chef age outstanding. I had the Smoked Duck and my wife had the Short Ribs both were out of this world.

The ambiance is so perfect. A really beautiful restaurant; however, the food was absolutely horrible. We were there for a brunch and I had the avocado toast. It was not even real avocado but some sort of green paste like you might find in a mexican fast food restaurant. The bread it was on was soggy, white bread. Not at all what you would expect. Would it be so difficult to get a real avocado for avocado toast?

A total disappointment. Had to go home and make my own brunch.

Service was excellent though. Very attentive wait staff. I didn't want to complain because they were so nice.

Honestly, service was great, the environment is great. The only well cooked item on the menu is the steak...which is not even worth the 50 bucks

Second visit. The changes brought about by the current pandemic have likewise brought changes to the dining experience at this location. First and foremost, service was impeccable from start to finish. Definitely treated as if our business was truly appreciated. Speciality Cosmo requested, made to my exact preference. I found the menu options to be quite limited and more standard fine dining fare this visit whereas the previous experience was far more adventurous with many more options from starters, entrees, daily specials, and desserts! I get it, restaurants are now trying to find the right balance between inventiveness and cost effectiveness. Until the pandemic wanes and restaurants are back to more usual business I would believe more of the same to be expected. That being said, meal preparation and presentation was outstanding. No apps or desserts ordered because not enough of a selection to have a desired choice. Would I return, absolutely, after things return to somewhat more normalcy.

I had a wonderful time on my date. Both the service and food were exceptional, and the ambiance provided a perfect time to just relax and enjoy my girlfriend’s company.

While the ambiance is chic and warm, the food is dismal by comparison. For the cost, the food should be sparkling and original. The menu options do not well seasonality and the presentation of both dishes was so-so. Would have liked to see more textural balance, and more vegetables. Service was excellent.
