CHEZ AMI RESTAURANT & LOUNGE - STEAKS, SEAFOOD, ITALIAN & BURGERS
We had the filet mignon but I did not like that it was covered in gravy.
The restaurant was quiet when we arrived, but as more tables filled, the noise level increased.
The menu on Open Table included burgers, but that wasn't on the dinner menu in the restaurant.
Had the short ribs and atlantic salmon. The ribs were good consistency, tasty, but the mash potatoes felt like it was being put through a blender. The salmon was overseasoned and salty, they took it off the bill (also because I had a put in a reservation for my birthday earlier and they had a birthday promo, need proof of D.O.B. ). Order the oysters specials but the oysters were not cleaned properly, had somewhat sand grains? (They took it off the bill too) But almost what was disappointing was there was no dessert offered at the end of the day . I get it, we found that the food was a little sub-par, and we did not thoroughly enjoy it. But you would think they would try to make it up by offering a cake or something, especially when it was highlighted that we were celebrating a birthday earlier, but our waiter even forgot that it was a birthday too :( Would have paid for the cake but the fact that it was not offered was sad.
The food was fantastic. All seven of us enjoyed are meals. The service was outstanding. The Mixologist
(Bartender’s) knew what they were doing when they made our drinks. All & all this is a Top Notch Resturant. Mr. Crocci knows what he’s doing in the Resturant Business. He’s on top of his game!
We participated in the weekday stay action so our menu was limited but we still enjoyed it. It was a great deal and look forward to visiting again.
Mothers day dinner. Server forgot to tell us the specials (which we as a group would have rather had) but did give my mother a free desert and it made the night a little more light hearted after I kept picking at him for it. Did take some time to get a server assigned to us and it wasnt that busy. The atmosphere was amazing and the food as a whole was good. Seating is a little tight as when we were leaving we had to squeeze between 2 sets of families. I've had this restuarant on my radar for awhile for brunch and I plan on going to enjoy that still. Overall guess I can't complain but a $300 dinner for 3 I would had expected perfection.
The food was very good and the presentation was nice.
Staff were very friendly and knew what they were doing.
Breakfast the next morning was really good. They had hot and cold items and a guy making omelets to order.
I highly recommend the restaurant
Yes but service was so slow! 2 hours we were there. Kitchen could not keep up with orders? 2 waiters/waitress. Have a long walk to kitchen I dont know! Ran out of English muffins for eggs Benedict. Send someone out for more if u see inventory low. Even ordering a cup of coffee or a drink took 10-15 mins!
cheap denny’s style menus
weird tea service
meal was good
good service - happy to accommodate requests
Best filet I have ever had! And the risotto...o m g! 👍
Birthhday dinner. We had to wait for 45 minutes even though we had reservation.
The bone in ribeye and the linguini we're delicious as well as the fresh oysters. Their specialty cocktail Old Fashioned was addicting. Very good over all. We can't wait to go back.
Everything was great!, Service was fine, food delicious, atmosphere nice!
The wait staff was very friendly. We were about 15 min early for our reservation and did not have to wait to be seated. The food was excellent but a the high end of price.
In a crowded field of fine dining, Chez Ami is among the best. The proof is in the side dishes and exceptional detail. Perfectly cooked proteins (salmon, short ribs, steak) were accompanied with buttery roasted carrots with fresh thyme and chives, not mushy, not under cooked - perfect. The same was true for the fingerling and mashed potatoes. The tasty sauces had the same spot on balance. Great desserts, beautiful, fun decor, great managers and wait-staff. We are becoming regulars, our guests loved it. We had a brunch a few weeks ago that equaled the dinner quality. If I had to find some improvements, I would like stronger decaf coffee and a little less music volume.
From the time u walk into the restaurant u r greeted with a smile and professionalism. Your waitress is attentive and knowledge of the menu, specials and wine choices to compliment ur meals again shows u their commitment to provide u a great dinning experience.
Revolving bar is wonderful. Ambiance is very good. Service is excellent, and our food was also excellent. We had a great evening. Thank you!
It was my birthday and when our waitress came out with my dessert with a candle it made it that much more special. The food was superb!!
The small cheese tray was great. Had the scallops and they were delicious. Really good service but was kind of loud. Thanks for a nice birthday dinner.
Excellent food and service. Added to our top ten favorite restaurants.
Easter brunch. Eggs Benedict was excellent. It just very hard to get our servers attention. It was early afternoon and not really busy.
I took my family here for brunch on Easter and it exceeded my expectations. It was classy without being pretentious and the food was superb.
When they offer "bread service," know it's an $8 appetizer. When you don't have a chance to see that on the menu before it's offered, it's a bit of a surprise for something typically included by most restaurants. Otherwise, always a solid meal and great atmosphere. One of my favorite special occasion spots.
Food was just ok. $8.00 for bread is ridiculous! Bartenders cleaning the bar with spray cleaners while you are trying to enjoy your very expensive drink is unacceptable! Won’t be back.
It was an amazing experience for me on my birthday and Pam made it even the more special! Thank you
Went with a girlfriend prior to a night out. Was given the specials by waitress verbally. Was mentioned that there where oysters that night . We did place an order for a dozen. When they got to table, they had onions , rice vinegar with hot sauce and horseradish. Attempted to eat them had to ask for lemons and more vinegar to try and mask the garnishing . Unfortunately we could not finish them and told the waitress. She took them away and it seemed maybe they would have taken care of them on bill.
Bill came and oysters where there $36. Asked to have it taken off and waitress had to ask manager, she returned and could not refund it. We explained we didn’t know anything about the garnish and that clearly it was unable to be eaten. It would have been a better experience , with some kind of refund or compensation.
Had a wonderful lunch.... will definitely be back.
Always a good atmosphere. I enjoy their brunch selection. Hope to go to dinner soon as well.
The setting for brunch is nice with the side room full of natural light. The menu had several unique selections covering all types of brunch tastes. I went with a seafood based dish which was filling and very tasty. The service was average, the waiter didn't offer water or any drinks until my guest arrived. One negative was the 2 for 1 mimosas. It's actually 2 for $10. I don't think that's much of a deal.
Food and service were truly 5 star
Great service and food. Beautiful surroundings. We also had dinners on the rooftop lounge, the Vue.
Only complaint was the time it took to get our drinks and food. Otherwise it was a very good experience
Drinks were bad, lobster was not cooked, waiter didn’t even ask if meal was ok... the noise from the bar loud.
We went for restaurant week, the food was good, and the value was great, but best feature of the evening was our server, Terrence. He was wonderful. Beautiful old bar and gorgeous hotel . Overall a very nice dining experience.
Was very disappointed in the food quality. Have had good meals here in the past. Even the wine tasted old.
Food was really good but on the expensive side. Service was on the slow side but our waitress was friendly.
There was only my friend and I and two other people there so the atmosphere was perfect. Seated right by the windows, great day for it. And the food was delicious. I've come by for dinner before was liked it, but the shrimp po boy I had was outstanding. It's been a full 24 hrs and I'm still thinking about it. What a delightful experience, with wonderful prices. You will definitely be seeing me again.
The food was outstanding, however the service was subpar. Our waitress was unfriendly, almost cold in demeanor. We felt rushed and hurried during our dinner, like our table needed to be flipped, yet it was a Sunday night and there were only 3 tables filled. The busser attempted to clear our plate of mussels away while we were still eating it. Sitting alongside Franklin with the view of traffic and concrete was a let down. For the prices being charged, I expected EVERYTHING to be as good as the food. This was not the case.
NICE ATMOSPHERE. Tables are a bit crowded but not terrible. Put this off for more than a year due to complaints about staff and service. I really have no major complaints they were generally efficient and accommodating. Prices are mid-high, not terrible. Main complaint would be lack of specials. Very limited menu choices. I felt as if I were only settling on an entree. Also--- $8.00 bread service is ridiculous. Do explore the upstairs area if you go. Looks like a nice bar/light fare area especially for summer.
