Service excellent took a bit longer to get our meals and food a little bland

Four of us went out for first lunch in a year. Great service, good setting.

Nice location by the river but service was very slow

We were extremely disappointed in our dining experience this time. We were seated outside but then seemingly just ignored. Others were seated after us and received their drinks and chips. It appeared our server did not know she was to cover our table. Another server asked if we had been helped. Once they got it straightened out, we had to ask for napkins and silverware, we were never asked if we wanted drink refills, and then had to flag a different server to request a to-go container as the waitress for our table seemed to disappear. This may have been our last Chevys dining experience.

The food was horrible this time.
One plate was cold- not even warm. The second plate was way over cooked. It was hard to even cut the meat.
I usually love the food but yesterday was horrible.

Service and atmosphere was great

Savi (our waiter), was wonderful an asset to Chevys. The view fantastic, bloody mary , perfect. Food only soso was very disappointed, I had the ABC omelet , B (bacon) was almost nonexistent, potatoes were more onion than anything. Would like to give them another chance, but not sure. Hubby had crab and shrimp omelet, said it was soso, he will eat anything. We are old and retired on a fixed income so going out is a treat. I wish this review could have been better. I would recommend Chevys for anything but food.

Our table was available when we checked in, granted the reservation was made weeks in advance. Our server was very attentive and prompt in taking our order and ensuring we had enough chips, salsa and drinks throughout our meal. When the food came out, it was well presented and picture perfect. We ordered from both the happy hour menu and the regular menu and everyone enjoyed their food, we had no complaints. We were lucky to have a table with no one on one side of us and a nice view of the river and downtown. We plan to return in the near future.

Food was mediocre at best

Our server Erica was beyond great. We have a party of 12 at 2 tables of 6 and everyone was well taken care of. She was friendly and on top of everything we asked for. I cant say enough about her. Just great.

For a Sunday morning, looking out over the peaceful river, they had the music turned up LOUD...it was NOT music that is appealing to everyone. My son (28 yrs old) asked a waiter, a waitress, and a manager to please turn it down some. They said they would and didn't. It's a nice peaceful setting to have disrupted by music that belongs in a night club. Actually didn't bother me that much, but ruined the meal for my son. I'm positive he won't be going back, and it's a shame, he lives only about a mile away.

Service was trash. Waiter was rude. Food was cold.

It nice to know in the age of covid you have somewhere to go for good food and great service.

I gave 4 star because we waited for atleast 45 minutes though we had reservations. Our waiter was great. Awesome service. Environment was lively and great as well.

Excellent reception, seating optimal with view of river, heater provided to warm our feet, menu selection was so good making deciding a challenge, food was delicious, service was appropriately friendly and accommodating, final ticket total was a smiling & surprising value. Highly recommend. Suggestion for improvement: music volume could be softer to optimize audible communication dialogue.

On our arrival, the host made it seem as if it was our fault for not seeing a text he sent when we were seated directly in front of the front table. When the food came out, it was a bit cold as if it had been sitting for a second, I knew this to be true because I ordered the homemade tortilla soup, a soup should be warm to hot on arrival and it was not. The entire time we were there, the waiter came to check on us twice. The 2nd time was to move the heater, while I was trying to order another drink and get a box for my wife’s food on Valentine’s Day. I left with not being able to get either and just being given the check. You may think because it’s Valentine’s Day that they were crazy busy, they weren’t, on our way out, our waiter was just sitting inside mingling with other wait staff. I have been to this location several times and this was by far the worst experience we’ve had here.

Chevys Fresh Mex Sacramento Riverfront is Awesome!! The river and city view from the back outdoor patio is beautiful and the service/food was great!! Can't wait to go back!!

We made reservations thinking we could be seated outside by the river. Instead they put us in a tent with a noisy heater, no view and poor service. We never come back

Arrived on time, seated on patio. We were given wet menus. No big deal totally understand things happen. However I'm allergic to dairy and request no cheese or sour cream on the appetizers or the meal. The appetizers arrive with cheese, so we sent it back. The entrée arrived with cheese, so we sent it back. My entrée arrives again with sour cream. At this point I was starving; I scrapped off the sour cream and was left basically with a taco shell and a few cubes of protein. Our server was all over the place and it wasn't busy. We just decided that this being our 4th time coming and trying to support struggling businesses during this time that we shouldn't go back.

Great customer service and food was delicious!!! We will definitely be returning.

Was nice place they stuck us right beside door and had a noisy fan going whole time. People that walked in off street got better. I know this because they seats party before us told host they had no reservation he seated them with a better view and much nicer seating. If I went again would definitely not go though open seat to make reservations.

Haven’t been out much due to C19, so I figured why not on SuperBowl Sunday. They have a great patio along side the river and got lucky with a bit of warm weather.

Food was good but our server seemed preoccupied or disinterested in giving good service. We had to ask several times for items that were requested but never delivered to the table. Two of our party of three received their food well in advance of the third which was no bueno.

We enjoyed the food however, the service really made for an unpleasant experience overall.

We made arrangements for our night and we had reservations days ahead of time. We arrived a few minutes early and checked in. They did not have our table ready and we had to wait an additional 17 minutes to be seated. We had plans after dinner as well and we expected the table to be ready...otherwise why make arrangements for a table? Why have reservations if they are not going to have our table ready?? We are very disappointed with the way the situation worked out. So after being seated at 617pm we ordered our drinks and food. Our food arrived within 3 -5 minutes and we had not even received our drinks yet. We had no plates or silverware or napkins or anything. So our sizzling platter was sitting there in front of us and we had no way to eat it. It sucked. It was a special occasion for us and I noted it in our reservation notes. No one asked or mentioned it. I had to ask a manager who was on some device for plates and silverware and for tortillas. It was our first time out in a year and we were celebrating a very important day and I am so disappointed. I never write negative reviews but this definitely needed to be addressed. The server was a very nice woman but she had nothing to do with the experience we had. We left her a great tip but we will never use this app again to make reservations at chevys.

When weather is cold, we could use some heaters out front also for the Seniors that are waiting to get in. We had 4:15pm reservation, arrived at 4pm then were told we’d get sat down early since we got there early, but didn’t get seated until 4:30 pm.

I believe our waiters name was Antonio. He was absolutely wonderful. Made sure we enjoyed our dinner and drinks. He was funny and friendly. Amazing service. Thank you!

Very nice staff and good service . Prices were high but it’s high everywhere you go these days.

It's was great for the hour I was there heaters on the patio and the waitress was great and attentive. I was there long enough to have a pineapple coconut margarita a must try and a quesadilla would have stayed longer but they were adding more tables and it's getting too crowded for me and the 6ft rule was gone so was I. For the time that I was there it was amazing.

Abraham really took care of us. My daughter came in from out of town and we stopped in for happy hour. The drinks and food was fantastic we will be back.

Food is not good. Other Chevys are better. The outside seating is nice.

Just a little slow service but overall great experience.
