We had a great time. The service and hospitality was great. Especially from the Manager, John. The food was was very good and fresh. The Mango Margarita was great too. I would recommend it.
The service was fine, although tortillas were not delivered with the fajitas and by the time we received them dinner had cooled off. Shrimp was over cooked. Not a great night in the kitchen. The chips and salsa were yummy as always!
Quick and fast as there are not many people out and abiut
Loved it alothough the windows were open because of COVID it was cold. Other than that great first date!
Made reservation and arrived on time (7:15pm) was seated right away. 7:20 Waiter took drink order and food order. waiter came by at 7:30 to see if we were doing good we said still waiting for drinks (sodas) he came back with drinks at 7:45. We inquired about guacamole? 8:00pm still no chips or guacamole we ordered 45 minutes earlier. 8:10 We got up walked to front and spoke to manager, we left and went to another restaurant.
The food & service was very good, sat outside next to fire pit,was very relaxing and enjoyable. Staff was excellent
Food was great,. I miss not doing this more. Seating was every other table...so Covid Compliant. Great Job!
Server didn’t seem to care about our table after a bigger table showed up. Our food took forever and I do believe they had forgot to make it. Ridiculous as we took the kids this time!
Service was mediocre and good was cold.
Food was good enough and served in a reasonable time. Service was great!!
Patio was area was dirty, tables were dirty!!! The inside seemed to be cleaner but there were alot of flies, more than outside.
Retried beans were very lumpy and dry. Rice was extremely spicy.
Flautas had to much spice and cheese in them .
Greeter was awesome. Waitress was good too.
I don’t get it why do you have a online reservation option if you are not going to follow it. I made my reservation for 7:30pm and upon arrival I was told that they are not taking online reservation. We waited 45 mins to get our table
Even though this restaurant is on Open Table, and we made a reservation, they do not take reservations! We wanted an outdoor table, and picked them because they had outdoor seating and took reservations. Why be on Open Table if you do not honor reservations? Anyway, we waited about 20 minutes and got a very nice table outdoors. Our server was excellent. We enjoyed our margaritas. Food was good, although the chicken for my fajitas was a bit dry and overcooked. However, they need to get off Open Table if they are not using it!
Went for my brothers bday. Had a great time. Good food.
Food and service was good. Tables were will distant
Bad service, even with a reservation I had to wait 20 mins after the time.
Chevy's didn't allow us to use opentable so we just took take out since only outdoor seating was available and it was over 100 degrees out.
Chevy's is not accepting open table reservations at this time per Management.,
Start to finish almost 2 hours. Fajitas cold before tortillas delivered. Never checked back for drink refills. Not a great value for time or money. $223 bill and not up to Chevys normal standards
Hadn’t been to a CFM in several years since learning they all were closing. I was delightfully surprized when my wife accidently found the Fairfield branch open while surfing the internet.
We both LOVE CFM and frequented Pleasant Hill, Vacaville ( Where I proposed to my wife of 17 years), and South Lake Tahoe. So very happy to learn it only takes a 40-minute drive and we’re in culinary heaven! BEST food ever, and polite, respectful, and efficient waiters! Thank you Chevy’s for keeping Fairfield open!
The only complaint is we reserved an outdoor table but were seated indoors without explanation, and it was not worth arguing about.
Great service and location
Service was ok but the food was overcooked.
Food and service was great. We enjoyed the service, the location is right off of the freeway and next to the mall. Definitely recommend for large parties. We had 7 in our group.
The cantina happy hour food was ok. The tacos are small and the nachos liked like the cheese was microwaved, but I could be wrong. Never got a second supply of chips. The waitress even stated it would take forever to get fresh ones. Most likely I won't return. Quality has been compromised in my opinion over the years.
I’m a pretty big fan of our local Chevy’s (Sacramento) so I wish I could have rated this one higher. When we got there the hostess didn’t seem to even know they had OpenTable. A few minutes later someone helped her and we were seated. Wait. Wait. Wait some more. Server stopped by and commented on another table leaving and he never knew they were there. The wait for service and food was just way too long which gave us the opportunity to observe both the general ambiance and staff. While some seemed very harried, others moved as if the didn’t have a care in the world. The placed itself was very worn around the edges and in need of refresh paint and upholstery.
Tried the weekend brunch with a 3 generation family (age 2 to 65). There was something for everyone. All enjoyed their meal.
I love Chevys. I miss the one being in Vacaville. Please bring it back! The best chips, salsa, chile rellenos. Great service too!
Disappointed with this last visit. Made reservations on Open Table for 4 of us.
When we arrived at the restaurant there were 2 hostesses that had never heard of Open Table. They could only see reservations that were made directly to the restaurant. They had to find the manager to see what I was talking about. The manager eventually straightened it out. Not good.
The food. Chevy's was never considered fine dining but was usually a decent value. This visit was not good. We ordered the mixed fajita nachos. The chips were not fresh. Almost chewy. Off to a bad start. I had a chicken burrito that had very little chicken inside. Also a bowl of tortilla soup that had little to no flavor. Very disappointing. Another person ordered a 5 item combo platter. The chile relleno had a crust thicker than the chile itself and with very little flavor. The other two in the party felt their meal was not great but OK.
I give them points for their Cadillac margarita. Tasty.
I'll go back and hope that this visit was not the norm.
Dirty place just opened and floors soooo sticky, tables dirty and sticky. Gross!
Food did not taste and eggs were undercooked, told server and got no response. Bloody Marie’s were missing the booze, could not taste or feel. Didn’t even order the bottomless. Could not eat the food.
Used to like going to chevys and maybe it’s just the Fairfield store, but highly disappointed and grossed out. Paid 40 bucks for 2 including tip and feel ripped off
They could not find the open table reservation, Very very slow service from greeting to departure.
I made a reservation online at approximately 3:30 in the afternoon for the same day at 7:15 I arrive on time and they tell me it's a 45 minute wait. This was ridiculous why did I make a reservation if I had to wait 45 minutes I was very irritated and they seem to not care at all that I had a reservation
Was a little awkward that the people working in front didn’t know there was an OpenTable for this particular restaurant. Requested a table for two through this app and lady said, “yOu gOt a ReSeRvAtIoN” with a great sarcastic tone I was a little confused. Got asked if we wanted the happy hour specials which we agreed to but still got charged regular price for drinks. Food came out and was not what we ordered so we asked for an exchange. Food was okay. Chicken wasn’t seasoned, meat was a little bland. What you’d expect from a restaurant like Chevys. However our waitress was a kind middle aged lady who treated us well and was prompt with the service. Didn’t get her name but she was honestly great. Her service was the reason we stayed. Would only come back if we had the same waitress.
I have never in all my years as an Open table diner written a review like this. I believe the server was new(er). Service was slow. Food arrived slow. Food was fine. Beverages were a mess. First item ordered was my wife’s glass of Chardonnay. It was the last item brought to table 45 minutes later. After 2 reminders and a report that the bar was very busy. What came was something in a glass and of some sort on ice with fruit skewers. When questioned a different server said it was to “make it pretty”. The order was for a normal glass of wine. Other tables were having trouble also. Not sure what was going on, but disorganized would be a good start and lack of adult supervision. It will be a long time before we try this again ( if ever)
It was the only place open in the area on Christmas Day so I understand it was busy but the open table app was down on their end so we waited a bit longer than usual with the app. Then when they took our order it took about 45min for our food to come and when it came it was cold and undercooked, we didn’t finish our food. The server we had was nice and apologetic for the delay but she was hard to find when we needed her.
Food is just ok. Server was good. I do appreciate they were open on the holiday.
