Chips and Salsa
One pound of chips and one pint of salsa
a lunch portion of our famous mesquite-grilled, sizzling fajitas served with hand-pressed tortillas, veggies, rice, sour cream, pico de gallo, our signature sweet corn tomalito and choice of: beans a la charra, refried beans or vegetarian black beans
Great food and great service, as always. Still limiting capacity inside with distanced tables. Traffic on I-80 was INSANE. We were 40 minutes late for our reservation, but I called and they said "no problem" and held the table. Much appreciated as we were one hour into what became a two hour trip to get there (normally 45 minutes).
We had the range of food: shrimp salad (lots of shrimp!), tacos, fajitas (always so yummy), quesadillas, and kid's plates that they devoured. And, of course, chips (the best!), salsa and guacamole. Chevy's Fairfield will remain our family meet spot!
As always, the chips and salsa didn't disappoint. Our server, her name is Violet, was awesome! She checked on us often, but not too often. My meal was the surf n turf combo. It consisted of a grilled chicken taco (I'd recommend putting some salsa on it, it's a little on the dry side). It was tasty though. It also had some skirt steak (Tasty and tender). And lastly, a shrimp and crab enchilada (AMAZING!). It also came with black beans (my choice) and spanish rice (not great). Sorry I forgot to take some pics.
We had a very good time and had great service and great food! So nice to dine in the restaurant!
Didn't have some ingredients for drinks. Food was not good and over priced. Bathrooms were filthy, looked liked the toilet over flowed and tissue was all over the floor. Will definately NOT be going back to this location. Big let down for Mother's day.
Took an hour for the waitress to come to our table to offer any water or beverage and take our order .. I had the mothers day brunch and was missing items from the four course meal, I had to send my plate back TWICE because of them getting my order wrong. The hostess was RUDE blaming us for moving a table when the waitress was the one who did it , and didn’t even apologize, the mimosas were very tart. Other people at our tables food wasn’t cooked throughly. Even though the waitress took forever to acknowledge us sitting at the table when she did provide service she was very nice.
Food took forever and was unusually salty. This experience cured me of wanting to go back.
Excellent food and excellent service. Perfect place to change the pace of home cooking.
We got brunch. It was great. Lots if good choices and for an additional 12.00 you can get bottomkess bloody marys and mimosas. Yum! Had not been to Chevys in years. Glad we went back. The tortillas are delish and the service was outstanding!
Made reservation on open table and wasn’t accommodated for said reservation. Told I would have to wait 30 more minutes..
We went out to dinner for the first time in a year and picked Chevys as our first choice. We love the Tex Mex style of Mexican food and they didn't disappoint. They prices are on the pricey side, but the food is great.
Was tempted due to bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys the drinks were excellent the food was good but memo choices fairly limited.
Reserving on open table was easy. The food and service was good. The tables were distanced due to COVID. The only problem was my daughter was charged our amount and someone else’s. Fortunately we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street so she was able to go in at 9:00am to talk to a manager to have it reversed.
Terrible. And I mean terrible! We were so disappointed.
Everything was perfect. It was my 65th Birthday and so nice to go out and eat and drink and be around other people!! Loved my bday dinner. Thanks so much!!!
Showed up and was told that they don’t take reservations. Didn’t get to eat there. Won’t go back
Arrived at reservation time was checked in by hostess and didn’t get seated until I approached staff again questioning my reservation which was 35 minutes later. Was seated outdoors with no heater. The server was nice but didn’t put in the appetizer so we waited for nothing, decided that the Vallejo location was better and much more of an attentive service. Wouldn’t recommend this location for the lack of the service. After all went to Applebee’s for dessert.
The service was amazing! A Dj on a weekend would be great please bring back dj night on Fridays
Get happy hour with friend on the side patio. Service has improved from post Covid days. Would go back again.
Service was good and they accommodated well for a holiday and with current covid restrictions
We had a great time. The service and hospitality was great. Especially from the Manager, John. The food was was very good and fresh. The Mango Margarita was great too. I would recommend it.
The service was fine, although tortillas were not delivered with the fajitas and by the time we received them dinner had cooled off. Shrimp was over cooked. Not a great night in the kitchen. The chips and salsa were yummy as always!
Quick and fast as there are not many people out and abiut
Loved it alothough the windows were open because of COVID it was cold. Other than that great first date!
Made reservation and arrived on time (7:15pm) was seated right away. 7:20 Waiter took drink order and food order. waiter came by at 7:30 to see if we were doing good we said still waiting for drinks (sodas) he came back with drinks at 7:45. We inquired about guacamole? 8:00pm still no chips or guacamole we ordered 45 minutes earlier. 8:10 We got up walked to front and spoke to manager, we left and went to another restaurant.
The food & service was very good, sat outside next to fire pit,was very relaxing and enjoyable. Staff was excellent
Food was great,. I miss not doing this more. Seating was every other table...so Covid Compliant. Great Job!
Server didn’t seem to care about our table after a bigger table showed up. Our food took forever and I do believe they had forgot to make it. Ridiculous as we took the kids this time!
Service was mediocre and good was cold.
Food was good enough and served in a reasonable time. Service was great!!
Patio was area was dirty, tables were dirty!!! The inside seemed to be cleaner but there were alot of flies, more than outside.
Retried beans were very lumpy and dry. Rice was extremely spicy.
Flautas had to much spice and cheese in them .
Greeter was awesome. Waitress was good too.
I don’t get it why do you have a online reservation option if you are not going to follow it. I made my reservation for 7:30pm and upon arrival I was told that they are not taking online reservation. We waited 45 mins to get our table
Even though this restaurant is on Open Table, and we made a reservation, they do not take reservations! We wanted an outdoor table, and picked them because they had outdoor seating and took reservations. Why be on Open Table if you do not honor reservations? Anyway, we waited about 20 minutes and got a very nice table outdoors. Our server was excellent. We enjoyed our margaritas. Food was good, although the chicken for my fajitas was a bit dry and overcooked. However, they need to get off Open Table if they are not using it!
Went for my brothers bday. Had a great time. Good food.
Food and service was good. Tables were will distant
Bad service, even with a reservation I had to wait 20 mins after the time.
Chevy's didn't allow us to use opentable so we just took take out since only outdoor seating was available and it was over 100 degrees out.
Chevy's is not accepting open table reservations at this time per Management.,
Start to finish almost 2 hours. Fajitas cold before tortillas delivered. Never checked back for drink refills. Not a great value for time or money. $223 bill and not up to Chevys normal standards
Hadn’t been to a CFM in several years since learning they all were closing. I was delightfully surprized when my wife accidently found the Fairfield branch open while surfing the internet.
We both LOVE CFM and frequented Pleasant Hill, Vacaville ( Where I proposed to my wife of 17 years), and South Lake Tahoe. So very happy to learn it only takes a 40-minute drive and we’re in culinary heaven! BEST food ever, and polite, respectful, and efficient waiters! Thank you Chevy’s for keeping Fairfield open!
