    A great ambiance and great food! I had a nice juicy tender steak but what surprised me more was the mac and cheese. I'm a cheese head (wi) so you know it's good!

    Entree portions were generous and the service was attentive. We also enjoyed some Old Fashioneds with our meal. The atmosphere was charming and the prices were fair for downtown Dallas.

    We had a great time. Cool place and our server was excellent. We had the roasted veggie hummus platter it was very good. I only had a Caesar salad because we had a big lunch so unfortunately I can’t say much about other dishes. My husband had the truffle Mac is was good.

    Several menu items were unavailable. Of course, they were items that we wanted to order. They need to update their menu to reflect their current offerings. Overall, we had an adequate meal. We were seated near the main entrance. Front windows could have been cleaner. Clean windows would provide a better view and first impression. I would consider returning. Crabcake appetizer and hummas plate were good. Salmon entree and mac and cheese also received a thumbs up. No one in our group had any complaints about the food we ordered.

    The rug at the entrance (I think?) smells awful- sewage type water- please clean it out, it ruins the vibe. The crowd was definitely older. The staff was nice, nothing negative to say about them. The decor is really cool, but the space is almost too big- lots of open space.

    Tried this place as it was on restaurant week. Food was very good, steak was thin but super tender and the sides were super tasty. Bread pudding was excellent! Unfortunately the restaurant smelt vaguely like sewage, wine selection needs an upgrade and the staff although friendly did not match the quality and price they're charging.

    One of the best experiences in Dallas! Piper was an excellent server. Very attentive and engaging. She made our experience so enjoyable. The restaurant is so swanky, chic and classy. This is a perfect place for any occasion - date night, business meeting or just a random night out to relax. My favorite area is the library which private and quiet. Will be back!

    This was by far the worst food I have had in Dallas in the past 10 years that I have lived here. We went for restaurant week and I spent $125. I appreciate good food and I'm willing to spend for fine dining but this was barely edible ( Salmon was so salty and my "ribeye" was about 1/4 inch thick overcooked completely) .

    Food was good, but not great. Service was not great. For a place that was maybe a 1/4 full I’d expect more expedited plates. Seemed like they had a staffing issue with 2 people covering the bar and the entire floor. I’d consider coming back here for a drink when I was not on a business lunch hour.

    Heard about Chet's because of Restaurant Week. Love trying new places. Had read several amazing reviews. All were spot on especially about Andrea who was friendly, fun, professional and attentive. The salmon was to die for. Chet's Old Fashion was perfect. The total experience was amazing and "hit the spot". Thanks Chet and Andrea!!!

    I like the fact the meals are huge. I did not enjoy the place smelled like old mop water especially for the type of ambiance that is being portrayed. The bartending could use some help with making the right balance of sweet and alcohol.

    I went with some friends for restaurant week. The chapters salad and harvest board were delicious. The cappuccino pie, we were told, was not homemade. It was fine but not nearly as good as the bread pudding that someone luckily ordered. The service was great and I love the decor. We happened to go on a night when there was a horrible smell of sewage so I couldn’t give it 5 stars for that reason.

    Interesting Irish Fusion… had the grilled chicken with wine and mushroom sauce, veggie medley, and truffle Mac and cheese. Very tasty and good size portion. Great atmosphere in Dallas.

    Came with my significant other for her birthday and did not regret. Food was amazing and the gentleman who served us was great. The whole staff were super kind. We got a cheesecake on the house. 10/10 place would definitely return!

    Went to Chet's Saturday for lunch. Too loud for conversation. Everything else was great. BTW I ordered a top shelf margarita. The "bartender" did not know the aged differences of tequila (silver, reposado, anejo). Hard to believe as this IS Texas. Training may be in order.

    Hannah, jocelyn, piper, and Cynthia were all amazing. Piper was our bartender and gave us amazing service. Then best part was when we were talking to piper some of the servers would politely join our conversation and it made it such a fun environment. The old fashions were amazing!!

    Met for Mother's Day. Very pretty atmosphere. Food was very tasty. Breakfast dishes and shrimp & broccoli were very good. Shepard's pie was good, not great. Great atmosphere. The only thing lacking was the very mediocre service. We had a party of 7 so 20% was already included, unfortunately. Overall, I'd recommend and will return.

    Great hidden gem of Dallas and great location. The restaurant has a great ambiance and bar specializing in Old Fashions. The brunch burger is one of the best of the area! Finally the service was impeccable, thank you Andrea for everything!

    Salmon excellent/ super. Blackened trout excellent flavor but little ‘tough’, maybe slightly over cooked. Beautiful presentation of food. Can’t get any convenient to train stop and travel route to AA center for an event. Worthy of a stop at Chet’s.

    The very first time my fiancé and I dined in at Chet’s our overall experience was great. This time for date night was totally different. Service was not great at all our waiter barely paid any attention to us to even make sure our drinks were refilled or even making sure our meals were correct. We ordered a lot of food and the table we were sat at was too little instead of her moving us she kept trying to put more plates onto the small table we had to ask can we move. Prices are fair but if we are spending a great deal we expect great service.
