Eh. Understaffed, crowded, food was fine. Limited menu, limited wine menu.
The food was good and so was the service. There was live music which I do enjoy but it was a little loud for a small space.
Food was overpriced, food was meh, and menu selection was uninspiring.
When a menu is limited and you order two things from the menu you would hope that they would have it. They did not have any salmon or elk which were two items that we wanted.. The items we wanted were staple items and not specials. Furthermore, there was no bread available to tide us over until our order food came out. Finally, we ordered two beers to have with our meal but they were not even brought to us even when we were done with our meal.
For the price, we expected a lot more. It’s basically hotel food and the hot tub is right outside the dining room.
One of us ordered the Elk ($50) and it came with a few potatoes and that was it.
They ran out of salmon (????!!!) and could substitute with shrimp but who runs out of salmon?? It took half of the time getting a server to take our drink order, then food order. The best part was taking the Red Velvet dessert home with us and having it with our coffee in our pajamas.
What an expensive disappointment
Wonderful dinner with friends. Thank you for making our experience enjoyable.
Server was pleasant!
Food was good!
Convenient for visitors staying at Shoshone :).
Keep up the great work in this crazy pandemic:)
We wanted to love Chet’s, but the food was horrible and ridiculously expensive. Nice waitress; nice ambience (for a hotel restaurant).
Burger was great. Pretzel was a great app. The half chicken also tasty.
The hostess was completely rude to me when I asked if my Mom (who uses a walker) and I could respectfully be seated for a drink prior to our dinner reservation.
She abruptly said No but that I could get a drink at the bar and sit in the sunken lounge! I pointed out that my Mom had a walker and that it wasn’t exactly easy for her to get into the sunken lounge!
Her comment - “I can see that!”
There were at least six set and unoccupied tables in the dining area. Which were still set an unoccupied when we finally got seated AND when we finished our dinner.
Both of our dinners were excellent. It was our waiters 'Nick' first night and he was quick, responsive and very helpful. We were both pleasantly surprised.
Chets is a place to eat when you just need a decent meal and better than pub ambiance.
This was a mixed bag of good and bad. Unfortunately, the bad outweighed the good. Our server was delightful, but completely out of her depth. The pretzels weren’t anything special but the were good tasting. The whole dinner took way too long and when we received entrees they were not cooked enough…even the chicken was raw in spots. I personally wouldn’t want to eat a medium well steak but two in our party ordered that way. 1 came out mooing and the other was rare. When the steaks returned to the table they were a charred mess and still weren’t med well. Embarrassing. Not to mention, they came out with stone cold sides, so the cooks literally left the sides sitting while the steaks were being “fixed”. Believe me the 25% that the manager took off the bill didn’t ease the pain of this disaster of a meal. The good points: Our server was a sweetheart, the Red Velvet cake was out of sight and the drink I ordered was excellent.
Vacation family dinner. Cody was attentive and polite.
So so food, decent service, lighting way off for night.
Very underwhelming experience. They were out of menu items, namely any chicken, and the cheesesteak. Appetizers menu says 2 pretzels per order but now only comes with 1. Many early season growing pains that hopefully they will sort out quickly
Chet's is a good restaurant which has been a staple for every Big Sky visit. Most often the food is excellent and the service is superb!
The Chicken is delicious and seasoned perfectly and not overwhelming the chicken. The Bison Chili is also very flavorful and hearty enough to act a meal on it's own.
Chet's have great service and the wait staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, our last visit, the kitchen was understaffed which led to extended wait times but management kindly rectified the situation with a generous discount to our bill.
Food was cold when it arrived at table 45 minutes after ordering. They must have staffing issues. Table next to us waited over an hour for their food before they threw in the towel and left, (brought out their food 10 min later). It was just ok nothing over the top since it was cold food. Kinda pricey and it’s definitely not a place where you get your money’s worth for dinner. The breakfast there however is another story! It’s really good buffet style.
It was a great experience! Everything from our service to the ambiance!
Enjoyed family thanksgiving dinner. Nice atmosphere and great food.
The pork chop is excellent
Gluten free options appreciated. Open Grilled burger was awesome.
Outdated, slow service. Food was nothing special, overpriced since you are on ski hill. No ambiance, outdated decor.
Great on-location facility. Good value considering you're right off the mountain. Good, friendly staff, and careful of COVID precautions.
I checked the availability of reservations on open table at 5:30 pm and the only avail times were 8:30 and 9pm. I called to see if anything was available earlier. I was told that nothing was available at all as they were sold out. I booked the 8:30 at open table. When we arrived at 8:25 we were told that our table wasn’t ready and to go back to the lobby to wait. No one came to get us. At 8:45 we approached the hostess and she said oh didn’t you get your text? We didn’t and then were seated. We noticed several empty tables. The food was ok- my elk country fried steak was very tough- not tender. Not a great meal as we expected better food for the prices charged. Our waitress was pleasant and Attentive.hostess not so much.
Great food in a picturesque atmosphere. Nicely socially distanced with attentive service
There for dinner. They had a prime rib special...the meat was terrible! It had so much grizzle that out of the 12 ounces probably only 6 were edible. The elk was over cooked. Salmon and pressed chicken were great and they were out of the pork. Red velvet cake was amazing while the berry and ice cream dessert was bland with no crust.
Food and service was good. The smoked trout toast was awesome. Very clever.
Great food. Pork chop outstanding. Server excellent.
Great food and dining!
Atmosphere is ok, but, not having to leave the hotel is a plus.. food is good, expensive for having no atmosphere. Bartender Cody is great!
First night at resort and wasn’t sure how restaurant would operate with COVID etc. Worked out fine
Bartender was great both nights we spent time there. Dinner menu is limited. Great location while staying at the Huntly.
Maybe a tad slow but the drinks and food were good. The burger and tater tots were kid pleasers. Adults had salmon and vegan cabbage steak. The waitress was nice and attentive. Overall a good meal.
Very friendly service. The charcuterie board was fantastic.
We had an early reservation with our 3 school aged kids. We were first to be seated and waited 20 min before we were able to flag a waitress down to get some water. When we finally flagged her down, she told us she had 4 tables, but we said we were the first ones seated. The other three tables seated after us received their drinks and food first. We waited almost 40 min to get our food and drinks. The food was mediocre. Would not recommend.
Great food. Very flexible chef to meet diet needs for one of our party. Waiter was prompt and responsive. Definitely limit quantity of Long Island Iced Teas. Powerful but good.
Food was terrific. Service was friendly but a little inattentive to be no busier than they were. All in all great dinner though.
Awesome food and service
friendly staff and good service. Salmon was very good.
