Food was good to average. The Crab Imperial was floating in oil. That was a first.
Love the restaurant! Our favorite just as a couple or with friends!
We had a very pleasant experience at Chesapeake's. Our server, Tati, was wonderful and the food was delicious. We enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to go back again.
Amazing seafood great service! A pricier restaurant for sure but what quality seafood isn’t!? Will definitely be back.
The scallops are my favorite. Never disappoints
It was great, food was delicious and fast. We tried new fried seafood platter and crab imperial and cannot say enough good things about it. Waiter was awesome. This is on our favorite restaurants list
Quality menu and selection. Good for nice evening out. Oyster selection was really good. Dinner Portions were sizable for The price
Our meals were excellent. I'm always wary about ordering a gulf fish preparation this far inland, but my red snapper was excellent, as was our calamari appetizer and my husband's grilled shrimp.
Amazing food and excellent service from Molly. Great place for lunch and dinner!
Our meal and service were fantastic!
Good was great but broccoli had way too much much butter
Filet minion steak was not very good
Great food and really great service, we will be back
Perry, our server, was great!
Our first visit was awesome, food and waitress was outstanding. Look forward to our next visit.
It was a great experience. Justin was an outstanding server.
I went with my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day, and the experience was great! We had a little confusion because they couldn’t find the reservation I made through open table, but they just asked to see the confirmation email and accommodated us! The food was delicious and the service was great! Will be going back!
The food was great and the service was outstanding.
Had no trouble reserving a table online. We got seated within a few minutes. Table size and location was perfect for our evening. Food was excellent and between my husband and I we had 4 drinks and our meals and we came out at $100. I thought that was reasonable.
We love Chesapeake’s! Hands down the best seafood in the area by a LONG shot.
The food was excellent! The service was excellent. Our server was very accommodating for the three of us when we requested a more socially distanced table, which made a big difference in comfort for our small group. To top it off, they had their Clam Chowder, which is my favorite. We had a wonderful time and made a great memory. We'll be back (very soon).
We are regulars there at Chesapeake’s because everything is always amazing-from the service to the food, and we routinely make the hour and a half drive to Knoxville for those reasons. We always ask for Howie since he’s an awesome server, but when he’s not there, we still get great people. This last time Kyle helped us out and did a great job as well. We’ve never had anything but outstanding service.
We always get a dozen raw oysters to start but also can’t resist their crab cakes (which are the best we’ve ever had anywhere), and for the main course we get the steamed seafood feast. The last time there, however, we tried the stuffed lobster. As usual, the lobster was cooked perfectly and was actually stuffed with a great amount of crab.
We really cannot say enough about Chesapeake’s and since moving from South Florida four years ago where seafood is abundant as opposed to landlocked NE TN, we truly appreciate having a place to go for our “fix”.
It is a bit pricey, but considering how they must have to fly all this amazing seafood in every day, I understand the prices (which aren’t exorbitant).
If you’re a lover of seafood as we are, Chesapeake’s cannot be missed.
Wonderful first visit. We had a great lunch with exceptional service. Planning to return for Valentines Day!
Wonderful food and excellent service. Seafood tower is a must!
An outstanding dinner. It’s always good
Fantastic experience! Delicious food, great drinks, awesome service! Chesapeake’s never disappoints.
Chesapeake’s goes above and beyond to be sure you have everything you need. They are always friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs
VERY DISAPPOINTING! Honestly, our most recent experience was VERY disappointing. I have noticed over my past few visits that quality & service has been degrading substantially.
Our server did not even approach our table for 17 minutes after all of us had been seated. We had to ask for bread after we submitted our order, which was over a half hour after we had been seated. Additionally, our server continually acted as if we were causing him trouble & aggravation simply by requesting bread & water for the table. Look, my wife & I have over 15 serving jobs between us in our histories (Regas[both of us], Aubreys, Sunspot, Halfshell, etc., etc., etc...). We're not high maintenance, but this place has slid downhill in their service & quality of food. This used to be our favorite place, especially for memorable special occasions. I have visited over 2 dozens times & I have noticed that things are sliding downhill (quickly).
My broiled seafood had A LOT of fish bones in it (8 bones in the cod), which has NEVER happened. All 4 of my grilled oysters were gritty with sands. The crabcakes in both broiled seafood platters were disgusting & quite bland. We had to repeatedly ask (4 times) for drawn butter for our stone crab order. We had to ask 3 times for our side order of cole slaw. My wife's cocktail & my mother-in-law's wine came to our table 25 minutes after we ordered them. We had to request bread & water for our table 3 times.
All of this occurred on a Monday after 2:30pm, so the restaurant was not even 10% occupied (19 customers in the entire establishment). It saddens me to see what was a fine establishment go downhill so quickly.
Our dinner and the service with Perry were wonderful!
Our indoor dining experience was flawless. We felt nicely spaced from other diners and with the very high ceilings, felt the air was safe too.
Great oysters! Great salads! Untimely entrée arrival and kitchen failure to obey entrée instructions! Night manager unwilling to accommodate and reimburse dollar amount for kitchen failure!
They checked me in at 4:45 but the hostess that confirmed my reservation failed to confirm my open table points.
Excellent environment and food. Staff and management are top notch.
Our server was absolutely fantastic. He was very attentive and kind, and really made this a good experience for us. The food was not as stellar as it has been on past visits. The scallops were underdone and lacked flavor, and the vegetables were a bit soggy and
New Years Eve dinner was great !
NYE reservations are a requirement. Enjoyed our meals with good service. Edgewater Salad without any additional are served at request. HUGE salad with so many fresh ingredients. Loved it. Additional toppings can be added for additional charge including chicken, shrimp, etc. I had Filet with grilled shrimp. A good choice.
Our server wanted to argue over how much tip we should leave him! In hope next time we go we don’t get him!
Grouper and oysters were good, not great. Wife said grilled shrimp were slightly over cooked. Filet was cooked just right.
Loved the food, waitress was awesome, will definitely be back!!
