Chesapeake's West Knoxville
Several great aspects to this restaurant.
1. Great outdoor seating area.
2. Delicious food. We enjoyed a seafood tower...everything was good and the lobster and oysters were wonderful.
3. Easy location to access and good parking
4. Phenomenal service and attention. Julie G has to be one of the most personable and best servers I have had the pleasure to meet in Knoxville....you should ask for her.
Great service and food!
So happy the have the fire tubes to keep us warm in a chilly night. We don’t eat indoors this year so happy to have somewhere to go as it gets cooler.
Server was incredibly rude dismissive and constantly walked away before anyone would have a chance to ask for anything. Brought oysters out at same time as entrees with a comment that someone else took the oysters. Did not seem at all interested in our table. Had to ask for bread, straws etc. just not friendly at all til the end of the meal
A memorable dining experience - spectacular fresh seafood accompanied by impeccable service.
Great seafood! Service was wonderful. Great way to celebrate our occasion with family.
You can tell time and care were put into making the food. The maitre' d cream sauce was perfect. Great place for seafood.
Had the seafood tower which was wonderful. Steaks are great too.
We celebrated our anniversary with a wonderful dinner. We have been long time patrons of the downtown location but have recently become big fans of the location in west Knoxville. The food was excellent with the exception of the crab cocktail. The outdoor seating was very pleasant and the service was outstanding.
Dinner at Chesapeake's was absolutely delightful. Making the reservation was so easy on the internet & was waiting for us when we arrived a little early. We were seated right away at a perfect table that gave us a terrific view of the bar & the outside dining area as well as the fish tanks & the lobster tank. That was very interesting to watch the staff find just the right lobster for their dinner guests.
The appetizers were delivered very efficiently & were superbly tasty. Our server was helpful in picking choices for our dinner & we were made to feel very relaxed & never rushed thru dinner. This was a very pleasant yet special dinner experience. I look forward to my next trip to Knoxville so we can enjoy this experience again. Thank you Chesapeake's & I will highly recommend your establishment to friends here in Knoxville anytime.
Food was fabulous and service was fast and friendly. The price point would make this restaurant a special occasion only location
We really enjoyed our server Rachel and appreciated the host Cheyenne calling to notify us of the local COVID time restrictions. Wish we could have enjoyed the time there at but longer. We will give them another shot next time we are in town. The patio area looked so beautiful! Great seafood options and wine selections! Thank you for allowing us to dine with you
Chesapeake’s West is always great, this time was no exception.
Second time at the West side of town location, overall enjoyable. Waiter (Perry) was polite and attentive, food overall was good, had the Filet and grilled shrimp and loved the nice sized shrimp on the skewer and also the generous sides, but have to say that my medium rare filet was a bit too chewy for my taste. It was cooked properly, probably just the unusual poor cut off the loin.
The location is very close to the hotel I stay at on game weekends and I will definitely be back, thanks!
My second time there, here for work, the food was Excellent
We come here for dinner with friends every other week during the pandemic due to the outdoor dining option. We had a waitress with a heavy accent so I'm not sure if there was a communication issue or just a mis-understanding with our order. I ordered a salad and a side of Nevas potatoes, my husband ordered the steak and shrimp. When the food came out there was a steak with a side dish and my salad entree only. We asked about my side of potatoes and his shrimp - so they sent our waitress back over. She said she would enter the shrimp as a grilled shrimp appetizer so it would come out sooner and she forgot to enter the side of potatoes that I requested. The replacement items came out pretty quick and the food tasted great as usual. When the bill came the price of the "shrimp appetizer" that she entered to make the food come sooner was $5 more than the entree price if it had been entered correctly. We asked and she tried to explain but it did not make sense - we just left it and paid the bill as it was presented. Not the best service experience of our numerous times of going....
Ate on porch. Food was fine, guests had crab cakes as we recommend..they were well received.. service was as expected , only negative is the noise du to proximity of Parkside drive .
Great service, food and atmosphere.
Celebrated our Anniversary.
Enjoyed the free Sundae
Awesome food and service, as always!
We have lived for years on the Chesapeake Bay and sincerely miss good seafood since moving to Tennessee. Love living here but also love our seafood. Chesapeake's is a true God send in terms of quality seafood. Actually had a backfin crab cake (not quite the level of Papas's in Maryland but still good). We will go back. Also love the new location on the West side of Knoxville.
Celebrated parents anniversary and wanted a nice meal in a place they’ve not been too
Food was spectacular.
Wonderful evening out to celebrate a birthday. Service by Cadey was impeccable. Entire staff super friendly. Entrees were delicious. Love the Sangria and the Pina Colada cheesecake was delicious!!
Always great experience
M wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a while, but with work, life, and COVID, it just now worked out.
We arrived a few minutes early and were seated immediately. Our waiter showed up promptly. We reviewed the menu, and we’re ready to order. Anyway, we ordered two appetizers, Blount county tomatoes (two slices with cheese) and crab claws. I was a little surprised to see an appetizer of two slices of tomato- my wife ate those and didn’t make any comments one way or the other. Needless to say, I felt whatever I paid it was too much. My crab fingers were fine - I think it was about 8-10 fingers, steam with some old bay seasoning. No complaints.
I’m a huge grilled oyster fan but $4 an oyster was way too much IMO so I ordered fried. I got about a dozen fried oysters, coleslaw, asparagus. No complaints about my order - I can’t say that anything really stood out as amazing.
My wife ordered a filet minion, grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes or what she thought was mashed potatoes. They were more of hash brown type potatoes. Ultimately, she ate my coleslaw and I ate the potatoes. Her steak was slightly under cooked. She ordered medium but it was, what I call MR+ (which is perfect for me). She ate about 3/4 of it and I finished it. The steak was tender but lacked flavor. However for a seafood restaurant it was above average.
Our only complaint was the service was a little slow. Our waiter had tables in more than one area - inefficient.
Overall, we enjoyed the food. We both felt it was overpriced but worth a try.
We went as a Party of 4 and requested outdoor seating. Among us we had the broiled seafood platter , the fried oysters, the fish special and surf/ turf. Everyone meal arrived hot and cooked to order. We all loved our meals and chosen side dishes. The service was great!
Food and service was excellent.
Great waiter and great seafood.
I was happy that there was a reservation available
Very pleasant ding experience. Food and service were very good. Menu and wine list offer many choices. We will definitely be back again.
This is our favorite restaurant in the Knoxville area. If you like seafood, you can’t beat this place. We ate outdoors so we had noise from traffic, which we expected.
A celebration of friendship. Great time had by all!!
Menu selections, specials adn wine all added up to be a great time
Excellent service and good food. Our waiter helped with ordering because of allergies and the meal was wonderful.
Great dinner. Service and food was excellent. Perfect for celebrating my birthday.
We had brunch late Sunday afternoon and loved it. I was really hoping for breakfast items and they did not disappoint. I ordered a vegetable omelette that was packed with great vegetables and one of the biggest omelet’s I have ever seen. It came with a crunchy on the outside and soft inside potato cake. My husband had the Seafood Platter which looked wonderful!! We loved our meals and will definitely go back!
As always the wait staff was very customer focused!
We always enjoy our dinner at Chesapeakes.
Amy was amazing!
We have a great meal and a very nice time. Recommended.
Seafood is always excellent. Love the variety. Great service.
