We had a great meal at Chesapeake’s! Our server was excellent, as was the food. The crab cake was the best crab cake I’ve ever had. The only complaint any of us had was the blackened scallops. They were way over seasoned. I would recommend ordering them lightly seasoned. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Everything was fantastic, except for the salmon. It was overcooked and bland. The surf and turf was amazing. The mushrooms were astounding and the pumpkin cake was excellent. Service and atmosphere were good. That salmon was just meh.

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving experience. The service and energy level was high but the absolute star was the fresh seafood we were served: oysters on the half shell with the flute of champagne, grill scallops, crab stuffed mushrooms, succulent crab cakes, and a seafood platter. Everything was perfect and we are very appreciative of the staff who work together like a fine ballet to pull off the day.

Our server, Jamie was outstanding! He told us the specials and gave us time to look at the menu before suggesting cocktails and appetizers. We had oysters and calamari and delicious cocktails! Our meals for the 4 of us were all different and all delicious! We had filet mignon, seafood manicotti, grouper with lobster sauce and shrimp chesapeake. We all shared bites with each other because everything was soooo good! We took home pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin cake that we could barely eat hours later, but we did and it was a perfect night cap. This is our favorite restaurant when we visit Knoxville and would highly recommend after a Vols game!

Good food as always. The grilled salmon was outstanding. But after last night, I'm beginning to feel that the fried shrimp and fried oysters need to be "rethought"... the breading is (to me) beginning to seem too heavy and the items are a little overcooked. These have always been my favorites, but I left half the order on my plate. The key lime pie is GREAT as always.

My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday at Chesapeakes. We ordered the seafood platter and it was perfectly cooked. Our waiter let us sample the wine and made sure we were happy with it. Our waiters name was Jack. He was awesome. We will definitely be back.

We dined after a UT football game. Very bust night but we had a reservation and were seated in a timely manner. Our wait staff were extremely efficient and cheerful. My husband and I both ordered the lobster. The young man who came tableside to crack the lobsters was very fast and skilled. We had the Slower Delware pie and it was delicious. I would pass on the crab fingers appetizer. We will definintely be back!

Bread basket with some stale muffins a roll and old croissant is not exactly upscale. When I ask if you have a Pinot noir and the waiter says “yes” then walks away … is not exactly a fine dining experience. An empty melted butter cup served with your lobster and the chasing someone down for melted butter while your food gets cold … is lame …. At I’ve $200 for 3 people, I can get a much better dining experience elsewhere.

Our place for oysters on the half shell. Cocktails were very good. The table was still sticky and my menu was drawn over in crayon lol, not exactly the 5 star experience we’ve enjoyed before but we had a lovely dinner.

The restaurant was busy and as such, the service was a bit slow. I ordered a dirty martini and oysters to start, and was a bit disappointed that there was no mignonette - only cocktail sauce. I then ordered the seafood feast - it was flavourless, dry and completely disappointing for $60. The boiled clams, mussels, shrimp and oysters tasted terrible - the lobster was okay. I ordered a second martini that tasted nothing like the first, it was dry but not dirty. At that point, I paid the tab and left swiftly. Overall, quite the disappointing experience for a restaurant that has such great word of mouth.
