THIS LOVELY RESTAURANT IS HARD TO FIND WITH LIMITED SIGNAGE AND AN UPSTAIRS LOCATION. HOWEVER, THE PLACE IS CHARMING, THE STAFF AND OWNERSHIP IS EXTREMELY PLEASANT AND ACCOMMODATING. FOOD PRESENTATION WAS BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS. It's a great local restaurant that deserves trying!
Enjoyed our meals & service by Violin was very nice and helpful with our selections and spice levels of various dishes.
We had a wonderful meal with outstanding service from Josh. We enjoyed the music, conversation with Josh, and of course the delicious food. Aromatic Jasmine tea and Mixed Tempura to start on through very flavorful veggie & tofu noodles entrees. It was all so good, we've made another Open Table reservation to enjoy everything again!
Wonderfully delectable, delicious cuisine
We saw Cherrywine on our Passport discount program and thought an afternoon by the water in La Jolla sounded grand. We were seated at the counter looking out towards the water so that was fantastic. We thought the food was typical of the sushi restaurants that we frequent so that was fine. I decided to try a boba tea for the first time - ummm, interesting (I don't think any of us will be trying it again anytime soon - the Thai tea portion was great, the boba just wasn't our thing). Service was good - they weren't busy and we only saw the one guy working tables, but he was keeping up just fine. We won't hesitate to return if we're in the area again.
This restaurant is a good deal, considering the high prices elsewhere in La Jolla. There are nice views to the bay and mainland as well as a seating area outside with even better views. Menu choices are moderate, but everything we had was well-prepared.
A bit difficult to find; name not shown on th marquee; a lot of steps to get to the restaurant. Parking extremely difficult.
Service was not good. No alcohol
A great find!
Sushi roll prepared perfectly.
The dishes that we tried were all very well prepared and had excellent flavors. The location is great and the tables gave you plenty of room. Definitely an excellent value for the price as well.
