Cherry Point is a modern English restaurant in the heart of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, steps from picturesque McCarren Park. Set in a former Polish butcher shop, the space has been transformed creating a warm, convivial atmosphere with rich maple floors, copper-topped bar, chef’s table, and lively open kitchen.

Our seasonal menu features responsibly sourced produce and animals, along with fresh local seafood. Along with craft cocktails and draft beers, we offer accessible wines from independent European producers featuring organic, natural, and biodynamic varietals.

Cherry Point is owned and managed by restaurateur Vincent Mazeau and beverage director Garret Smith (The Finch and Vinegar Hill House). Chef Ed Szymanski (The Beatrice Inn) helms the kitchen. —each contribute to its distinct vibe.

We first visited Cherry Point as part of a large party celebrating a birthday and had an amazing evening enjoying the beef and game dinner. Specific standouts included the grilled oysters, lamb ribs, and pheasant and bacon pie. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for our anniversary and had an equally wonderful meal. Great service, nice wine list, delicious cocktails -- Cherry Point will be in our regular rotation for dining out.

Menu is small. They do a few dishes very well (charcuterie,steak,oysters), otherwise everything else is quite mediocre.

Cherry Point is a solid little neighborhood establishment. The staff were very friendly and the food was tasty. They also use hay strays and appear to making efforts to be environmentally conscience. Unfortunately the prices are very high for the portion size. There are other nicer restaurants in the area (Sauvage and 5 Leaves) that have much bigger portions for roughly the same price. The avocado toast with poached egg was TINY and came with no side salad or fries (like Sauvage does), and it was over $20. This place is a good in a pinch when the other spots are full. With a bit of tweaking to their portion size and/or pricing, I'd consider going back more often.

Cherry Point is an Oasis in the desert. Brooklyn has a lot going on these days but since chef Ed Szymanski took over the kitchen here, he’s put this place on the map. The pheasant pie was delicious and comforting, the labneh blue my mind, the grilled oysters were like nothing I’ve had in NYC, and then posset. All I can say is damn. The service was really slow but it was a busy Saturday night so it was understandable. They did forget to bring us the menus and our drink order but overall the food was amazing.

The food here speaks for itself, thoughtful preparation, great execution, amazing flavors and textures. Really enjoyed the grilled oysters and the lamb rib! Will definitely be coming back one day for the burger - it looked amazing on a lot of other tables.

First time at Cherry Point last night and it was excellent! The cocktails were delicious as was all of the food we tried. The grilled oysters and the steak tartar were the standouts. We also really enjoyed the grilled snow peas and the Nduja. The duck was good but not exceptional - I wouldn't order it again. Can't wait to come back and try more items!

Cherry Point is an absolute gem, consistently turning out some of the best food in Brooklyn. Cocktails, apps, salads, and specials are all a slam dunk. When you walk in and smell the sweet smoke from burning rosemary, you know you're in for a good time and Cherry Point has never let me down. If there's a pie on special, make sure to order it no matter what.

Such a wonderful find in Greenpoint! More restaurants should have wine lists like Cherry Point’s... simultaneously interesting and affordable.

We went for the meat & game dinner and had a wonderful meal! If I had to naysay something, it would be that the richness of the beef rib with marrow bones and hollandaise accompanied by duck confit gratin was so rich that we were instantly put into a food coma.

I will absolutely be coming back!

Food was disappointing unfortunately. We were rooting for this neighborhood place but inconsistent food (compared to past times visited) and very very salty. Don’t think we’ll be returning.

Had a lovely meal at Cherry Point last night. Everyone from the hostess to the servers was super pleasant, and the restaurant has a lovely, comfortable vibe. Our server, Devon, was amazing--friendly, helpful (when we couldn't decide on drinks, he brought tastes to help us make the decision), available but not hovering. And, the food was spectacular. The oysters with rosemary hollandaise were spectacular, as were the pate, lamb ribs, and tartare. We almost never order dessert, but were so excited about the food, we splurged, and weren't disappointed.

Truly a gem, and very well priced. We'll be back.

Enjoyed our night out at Cherry Point. Every thing we tried was very tasty. The steak tartare and duck were standouts, but the other 3 dishes were very good as well. Loved the affordable wine list. So many choices around $50, it’s a no brainer on whether I’ll be back.

Food was outstanding ! We literally tried every dish on the menu,and we enjoyed every single one. A very decent wine list, with plenty of options for reasonably priced bottles. Will come back !!!

Food and atmosphere was outstanding. We had the nicest waitress who knew her stuff. The food was interesting and well made. It is not a huge menu but it was varied and there was something for all the members of our group. We also enjoyed the wine list. We will definitely go back.

High marks across the board. Smart attentive servers who really know and understand what this chef is putting out but also savvy on the specialty cocktails (which are on the small side but cost less).

The food is just fantastic. Though it is a meat centric and hearty meal. There is nothing we ordered on the menu that I wouldn’t love to order again.

The room is rustic gastro-pub casual and comfortable.

Amazing sourdough bread also coming out of this kitchen grilled and crackling!

My partner took me for my birthday and we had the 4 course Game and Beef Dinner. The chef, Ed had previously cooked at The Beatrice Inn where we celebrated last year and had a great meal so I was looking forward to it.
And he did not disappoint!
The food was awesome. Delicious, well prepared and presented, and generously apportioned. I’ve seen others complain about stingy plates; I mean, really?! Beef tartare piled high on a 5 inch square, inch and a half thick piece of sourdough toast isn’t enough? Please.
Another stand-out was the accompaniment to the pheasant and bacon pie: a pot of silky potato purée topped with a hunk of marrow which as you stir melts into swirls of beefy unctuousness. Now that’s meat and potatoes!
The sticky toffee pudding is delicious, dark and rich, but the perfect dessert for such a meal is the posset.
Custard and citrus suprêmes with pieces of vanilla bean merengue broken over. all to be stirred together in a kaleidoscope of flavors and textures.

All in all, the perfect birthday dinner!
