Steaks were very tender. Bake potatoes cold, not even melting butter or cheese. Service started off attentive, friendly and excellent, suddenly disappeared totally - as in we had completed our dessert and staff didn’t return for quite a awhile after. Several other diners where waiting to pay bill with us.
Filet was excellent! Sat near the fireplace. Wonderful atmosphere!
Most disappointing restaurant we’ve ever booked through OpenTable. We knew the dining scene in Gatlinburg would not be on par with dining in Las Vegas, but we would have been better off going to a chain steakhouse such as Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse. Service was lackluster: had to ask for cocktail napkins, had to ask for a refill on bread, entrees didn’t arrive together (and we were right next to kitchen), never asked if we wanted dessert, dishes weren’t cleared until you left table. Expected a “Premier Steakhouse” to bring clean forks for the entrees, but the waitress wanted us to hang on to our used appetizer forks. Really? Smoked trout appetizer was good, but the spinach-artichoke dip was like creamed spinach. Prime Grade Ribeye Steaks ($36.50) looked processed and didn’t have much flavor; Béarnaise Sauce ($2.50) was lukewarm and bland. Grandsons liked the crab cakes and the fried chicken sandwich. Sirloin steak was judged okay by 2 guests. Overall, way over-priced, ambiance very casual.
We love coming here but recently they took away a side from the entrees. Now you’re still paying $23 for the cheapest steak and get only one side. If you want a baked potato and broccoli with your steak you’re going to be paying an additional $4 for that single stalk of broccoli.
We had three steaks and they were all cooked to perfection. The side choices were also delicious!
Great service, was seated right away, waiter was fantastic. I ordered the filet mignon, my husband ordered the prime rib. He ordered it incorrectly (his fault) and they gladly made him a different meal. Manager came over and apologized but it wasnt their fault at all. Will definitely be back!
Friendly staff, great food and relaxing.
Our server was great, but the food was just ok and overpriced. Our cocktails were poorly made and the beer and wine list was disappointing.
Our waiter was awesome as was our food!
Private, efficient, food was very good, exceeded expectation.
Our server was very polite and attentive. The food was amazing! First time there, and will definitely be back!!
Service was exceptional, food was not cooked correctly, steaks undercooked, fried catfish dripping in oil and not drained, mixed drinks not prepared correctly. Overall not a good experience which was disappointing since our first trip there was amazing.
Good food, good service, decent price for quality meal. Eat here every time I’m in Gatlinburg.
The food was wonderful- I had the small filet mignonette, and it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had!!! Ashley, our waitress, was very friendly and attentive. Great to have free parking!
Amazing food and service!! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Cherokee grill is always our go to place for dining in Gatlinburg. It’s a little on the high side price wise but is worth it to have a reservation so there’s no hassle, great food and covid precautions taken seriously.
Best food and service! Candle lit and very quiet! overall great experience!
4 of the 6 meals we ordered were very good. The 2 that weren't so good were steaks that were too tough.
Prime rib was excellent!
I love that Cherokee Grill uses Open Table. Gatlinburg is a zoo and reservations for dinner is almost a must. We arrived a little early but was seated anyways. Service was great. Teriyaki Sirloin was perfection!
My wife had steak, and I had catfish. Both were fantastic!
Out waiter was great.
Really great place the food, service and atmosphere was awesome. Great Bourbon selection I would recommend to all my Freinds.
Our first time in Gatlinburg and this resturant. Meal was outstanding and pricing was good.
My husband’s ribeye steak was thick and cooked perfectly! It was one of the best steaks we have had out & certainly compares favorably to a steak at Ruth’s Chris but is much more reasonable priced. The only negative is that we have to go to Gatlinburg to eat at Cherokee Grill. We literally drive from Knoxville solely to eat here. We hate how Gatlinburg is like the mall at Christmas 85% of the year. We think Gatlinburg has become a garrish, miserable place - but we LOVE Cherokee Grill!
The food here was great. The bread is freshly made in house. The trout and salmon were delicious and the portions were large. I would suggest either one if you are into fish. The sweet potato with cinnamon sugar was an excellent side with the salmon. We then splurged and had their apple cobbler which was more than enough to feed 3-4 people. The server was excellent. She had a great personality and was very attentive. She provided some good recommendations I would definitely say that this place is a must for dinner in you are in town.
Delicious food! Friendly and prompt service! Repeat customers
Everything and everyone was lovely. Keep up the great work.
All great especially our server
Best meal and experience we've had in a long time! Highly recommend!
BF had the prime rib, it was VERY good. I had the trout, not very good. The drinks we had were nice. I would go back and just not get the trout
It seemed our waiter had too many tables to take care of. The pork loin I ordered was hard to cut and the potatoes not very hot.
Great food and drinks. Service was great; it was quieter as we went on a Thursday
This was the best steak & pork loin I have ever eaten. We were celebrating my Birthday with friends. The staff was very friendly. Food was absolutely the best we have eaten & liquor prices were reasonable too.
Our waiter David was great and took excellent care of us. The filets we had were awesome...you have to try the Boursin stuffed filet! We tried several different drinks from the bar and David was very patient taking our orders. We will return next time we’re in town.
Food was great and so was the service!
Jared was awesome! He checked on us many times and all food and service was superb!
This place is amazing. My wife and I have eaten here several times and every thing we’ve had has been perfect. The best ribeye I have ever eaten.
Everything was great. We will be back
Valenta provided excellent service. The restaurant is beautiful. Make reservations well ahead. Steaks, trout, sides were great. Loved the Mac and cheese & spinach dish.
Ambiance, food, service, all top notch. We will be back for sure
