    Food was amazing, just the right portions. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Didn't feel rushed. However waitress made a few small mistakes.

    When we arrived we were a little early but it was no problem, the staff were so friendly and attentive. The food and service was perfect.

    Good food lovely refit and helpful staff. Highly recommend excellent lunch menu to include drink for 12 pound. Will return to try that out soon.

    Our third visit and disappointed with the service this time. Had to ask for the evening set menu, one meal was not as ordered and the bill was incorrect. The table behind were given 3 incorrect bills before it was correct! The food was very good, as always.

    A carvery at The Chequers is superb! Moist, well cooked meat, excellent selection of vegetables and tasty gravy. Highly recommended!

    Spacious eating areas, nicely furnished. Calm and efficient serving at the carvery. Good food thank you. Faulty booking system? As I booked online and then was contacted to change my time for the meal. The system could ask if you’re bringing a dog - my daughter brought hers and as a result we had to sit outside - not a problem as weather was warm , but it could have been.

    Lovely evening meal at the newly refurbished Chequers Inn. Service brilliant, didn’t have to wait long for food which was piping hot. Friendly staff and good atmosphere, will definitely be back.
