   Restaurant has gone downhill. Several core items on menu not available. Poor service.

   We were completely rushed for what was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner. All of us had not seen each other in years and were excited to see each other and celebrate a birthday, and the waiter came up almost every 5 minutes rushing us to leave bc he had another party. The bust boy quite literally took a drink out of our hand that someone wasn’t event done with to start cleaning and we were still eating. This was one hour into the meal, and every restaurant has at least a 2 hour seating policy unless denoted otherwise. It ruined my birthday and the food was mediocre. Furthermore no other party was rushed and we were a party of color which made it even worse because it felt targeted because none of the other parties were being asked this.

   We ate at Chennai Chimney on Mother's Day and they were busy with a private party. The service was slow (we had to ask for a corkscrew several times), but they tried to get us food as it became available so I can't fault them too much. The biggest problem was the food. The Gobi Manchurian and Pakora were good and we were excited about our main courses, but they were dreadful - sauce with various lumps in it. The lentils were particularly bad - it was like a bowl of dishwater with a few lentils floating around. And everything was bland. Truly one of the worst Indian meals I have had, and I wanted it to be great. I'll say this for it though, it wasn't expensive.

   Excellent food with dishes that I had not had in other Indian restaurants before.

   Service was prompt despite being short-staffed. However the masala dosa was very bland as if they forgot to add salt.

   I used OpenTable to make a reservation at this restaurant and arrived at the time of my reservation to see that the restaurant was closed. The sign on the door said open but there was no one there. Very embarrassing as I had invited a guest to meet me there. Thankfully we were able to walk around the corner and find another restaurant quickly.

   The food was delicious and hot. Particularly enjoyed the samosas and a lamb dish that came in a sweet red/orange sauce. The only disappointment was service. The waiter had us wait 20 min before taking our drink order. We almost walked out, as this was our first experience trying the restaurant. However, it is Byob (a plus) and the great food convinced us to return! I’d give it a try.

   Heating didn’t work on a cold day, guests were warring jackets while eating Restaraunt smelled like cleaning fluid or gasoline, was a strong smell
