    It’s not fair to limit the time to 2 hours AND not seat us until all 8 arrive. The “energy” you refer to as noise level was too high. I’m sure it doesn’t matter to most guests to be able to hear the guests at their table

    The food was really good but the band that was there ruined the whole experience. They were so loud that we could not hold a conversation at our table and we were seated about as far away from them on the upstairs deck as is possible while still being outdoors. My teenaged children said that their heads hurt (as did mine) and it just ruined what could have been an otherwise fantastic experience. I’m not suggesting that there shouldn’t be live music, as that is one of the mainstays of this Chelo’s location, but simply turning the amplifiers down would have changed everything. The service did not start out great, but improved as the meal went on. When we were seated we were told that there is a strict hour and a half time limit; however, for the first half hour we were told 3 times that our waitress would be “right over”. We were only given 1 menu for 6 of us and when she finally came around to get our drink order and we asked to place our food order, she told us that she would come back with our drinks and take our food order then. 15 minutes later, we finally placed our food order. The food arrived in an appropriate amount of time and was very good, and the band finally went on break, so we were able to enjoy the last 15 minutes or so in peace.

    Unfortunately I have to give Chelo’s a negative review. I have always loved Chelo’s in the past but now, they have a 1.5 hour limit at the table. Our server was very nice and polite but the food came out so quickly that I am sure it had been premade. Not only were we rushed, but parking was so limited that we had to get valet. I will not be back anytime soon.

    Not sure what happened to cello’s very expensive limited menu $17 for a sangria that tasted like it wasn’t made with top shelf wine, and liquor probably will not be going back

    Waiter was excellent (not sure of his name) Clam cakes were good. I had the baked scrod , mostly dried cracker topping and the fish itself was very dry. Very disappointed!! Very pricey!!!.

    We had a new waitress and our entire food order was incorrect and was brought at different times apps, drinks and meals. Food portions were also not the same as in the past. Less food and more expensive. Never have we spent over $400 on two adults and two kids.
