Chef's Table at the Edgewater Ratings and Reviews
This was our second visit and this time our Aussie friends joined us. The tasting menu is always changing and the food is always amazing. The 3 course meal has many options for appetizers, entree and dessert. Our table order the apple and walnut salad and blue fin tuna tartare. Both appetizers were delicious. The entrees: 2 of us had the filet mignon which were cooked to perfection and the risotto was so creamy. The duck was not to fatty and our Aussie friend mentioned it was the best duck he has ever had. Now that is a great compliment because he travels all over the world. My husband had the white fish dish in a broth. He was very impressed with the flavor. Now dessert: We ended up ordering 1 of each. The sorbet was blackberry and cabernet (great combination), the chocolate creme brulee was made was dark chocolate, do I need to say more; the bread pudding is my husband favorite and didn't disappoint. We also ordered the strawberry dessert that had creme and pastry. The filling was excellent, but the pastry was hard to cut a fork through making the creme to spill out of the dessert. This will continue to be my favorite place to dine. I wish I would have taken pictures.
Intimate candle lit setting with a quiet noise level invites one to focus on the food. Three courses at $59 and change is a bargain for what you get. Starters hit it out of the park as do the desserts- great flavors, interesting combinations. Slightly uneven cooking bedevils the main courses. Baked beans were not quite cooked on the "Sunday Supper" thought it featured an outstanding pork chop and flavorfull collard greens. Fish was fresh superbly cooked on one visit, overcooked the next. Excellent coffee dusted fillet was under done on one visit, just right the next. Waitstaff is informed and attentive. The room is attractive. The wine pours are generous. The wait for food can be long though, and sadly that means one is inclinced not to send the food back. Do it anyway so they learn. This place has exceptional potential. Go and take your chances.
We recently went to the Chef's Table to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was a three course meal and we decided to add the wine pairing. The food was cooked well, the courses were spaced out very well and our server was quite knowledgeable and helpful. My wife has a food allergy and she was accommodated very well. I do wish that nice restaurants would ditch the cheesy battery operated candles.
simply sensational, you will not be disappointed for any occasion. The staff at chef's table will treat you like royalty. If you want to step out of the normal chain restaurant and into something that will blow your mind try chef's table, these are true chefs that put heart and soul into every meal that they send out of the kitchen.
I've dined at 5-star restaurants around the USA and I would rate this one as the best I've ever experienced! Seriously! The food was incredible. Service was tops. The atmosphere was intimate, yet not stuffy nor pretentious. It's not hard to see why they have won so many awards and accolades. I highly recommend the wine pairing with the three-course prix fixe menu. As for the value, I have paid as much for fine dining in New Orleans, Miami Beach, San Francisco, NYC and other such notable food cities and walked away feeling I didn't get what I paid for. Not so here! Yes, you'll drop some bucks, but you won't regret the experience. This place is a gem!
In Orlando for a meeting. Found this gem and was so very pleased! Our waiter was very knowledgable of the menu, ingredients and wine pairings. Speaking of wine pairings, we went with the wine pairings on each course and were not disappointed. We would never have thought these wines would go with our choices, but they exceeded our expectations. Great food, impeccable service, quiet ambiance cannot be beat. Will recommend to friends and go back when back in Orlando.
Best restaurant in central Florida. NYC quality food and service. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and eager to make your visit a great experience. Tapas to fix price menu with quality wine list. Don't forget to arrive early and try one of those unique craft cocktails. Colin served us and was by far the most knowledgeable, professional, personable and attentive server. He truly is committed to his craft and takes it to the next level of art form.
I cannot say too many good things about The Chef’s Table. I went with two friends and we were all so impressed. The menu is varied so is able to appeal to many different dining preferences. Everything my friends and I ordered was delicious. The mushroom torte is a MUST! The service was impeccable from beginning to end. What a wonderful evening. I will definitely be going back.
This is a fabulous restaurant and well worth the price. The chef came out and spoke to us a few times during the meal which was very nice. We went on a weekday and because of the impending hurricane the restaurant was quite empty so it was easy to chat and enjoy the meal. Three of us had the mushroom and chive crepe and the rack of lamb and we all ate every morsel. The pork chop was also excellent. My chocolate creme brûlée was "to die for" and worth every calorie. We had the three course meal but are looking forward to trying the tapas. I highly recommend this restaurant.
My only real complaint was the table itself. It was wobbly - rocking back and forth - waiter admitted there had been a problem and there was something placed under the leg earlier in the day, but it was no longer in place . We shifted the table around a little looking for an even spot but were unable to solve the problem. Moving to another table might have been good - or attempting to fix the annoying problem.
We are from out of town so we had no idea what to expect. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff did everything possible to ensure it was a special, memorable experience. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and was great at breaking the menu down and providing suggestions when asked. I highly suggest you try this place yourself to experience just how fine of an establishment this place is and to enjoy some amazing cuisine.
