The food is good as usual, but I am disappointed by the services. I forgot to wear the jacket today, the way the front desk look at me made me feel uncomfortable. It is like judging me, I can’t go into the restaurant by her own opinion. I been to the restaurant 2 times before, one by phone call, one by friends invitation. I told her I been here before, she just said no , this is your first time here. It made me embarrassed. I will choose other restaurant in a while. Although this is my favorite restaurant before. It is a very disappointing experience tonight
Among 2 & 3 Michelin star restaurants I’ve been to across the world, CT@BF fell in the category of “how in the world did it get awarded the 3 stars?”
Food was very good & had some true highlights (best Uni dish ever had), but as far as 3 Michelin star tasting menus go, it didn’t make a lasting impression across the board. Nevertheless, everything was delicious, made with the freshest ingredients & cooked with perfect technique.
Ambiance was ok. A bit dry. Suppose the focus is on the food & the counter kitchen, without any distractions. There was some background music, though it didn’t quite fit the atmosphere. Room was half full & everyone was in a quiet conversation while enjoying the food.
Wine Service: This is the area that needs improvement. There was lack of coordination between sequencing of the courses and the speed at which the wine service was keeping up with it, or rather couldn’t. And the funny part was they didn’t even notice anything until we voiced our disappointment. Reminder, half full room, meaning there were 8 parties in total dining with us - manageable by restaurant standards. Into our third course & still no wine, we then embarked on a journey of picking bottles from the list that they couldn’t find in the cellar. Very frustrating :(
Food Service was very good overall. Everyone in the room is served each course at the same time. Dishes were brought to us as soon as the chef put his last touch. Every dish was explained well. It would have been better if they noticed the issue with the wine service sooner. At least they tried to make up by offering alternatives, treats & gifts. And, apologized many times, giving us an explanation of why the wine service suffered.
While the food service tried its best to remedy the situation, at the end of the day, this is not what one would expect to experience at a 3 Michelin star restaurant & at this price point. Regardless of their challenges, a well managed restaurant would have been better prepared
Amazing!! Some of the dishes are life-changing. Feel so fortunate we were able to have this experience.
The food are amazing and the desert is the taste that I have never tired before. Will come back next time.
Best food in NYC! It’s the best Michelin 3 stars restaurant we had this year!!!! I would like recommend my friends!!!
Good too salty! Chef does not taste test the food before serving
Food subpar especially for the price
Told chef was injured
Not an excuse
Will never go back
each penny worth it. highly recommended. would love to visit again.
Great experience! One of the best restaurants I have ever dine in! The Aji is spectacular!!!
One of the best restaurants in the world! Incredible!
So unbelievably good it makes me want to swear! Deserves every accolade it gets, thank you!
A truly amazing meal with impeccable service
The wine sommelier is truly a gem! He stands out as much as the food. Wonderful experience!
Extraordinary experience! Excellent food and service! It was a very nice and valuable try, will come back to revisit for sure
It’s exactly what you would hope and expect a three Michelin star restaurant experience to be. Everything was delicious, would highly recommend.
Can’t wait to go back
Amazing dinner. Best restaurant in NYC.
I don’t know what to say other than best meal we have ever had ! This is our sixth Michelin 3 star and by far the best. Food, service and setting was awesome. Not pretentious and focused 100 percent on food and experience.
Food was on par with few dishes that were outstanding. Great service. Every server was very attentive. Had a amazing night for birthday celebration. I would love to go back for different seasonal menu.
We’ve been reading about Brooklyn Fare for ages and were excited to go. The courses are exquisitely presented and the taste combinations incredibly inventive, if a bit rich. The experience was really ruined however by our interaction with the wait staff. When you’re paying $400+ per person, you expect elegance and civility. You don’t expect your waiter to persistently insist you order a $45 glass of champagne after you’ve ordered Prosecco. Nor do you want to be berated for not opting into the $150 truffle supplement especially when 3 of the courses you’re getting have truffles already. So this sort of huckster behavior happened several times - never experienced this at other similarly extravagant restaurants. So, it’s maybe ok once but we didn’t come away feel good about the whole thing.
Worth every penny. Chef Ramirez manages to pack so much flavor into each bite. Yes, the courses are tiny, but you don't leave hungry, and more importantly you leave with the feeling of having attended an event, not dinner.
GM, waiters, and Sommelier especially were all top notch!
Will be back.
Located at the rear of a market, it looks like a speakeasy entrance. The staff are extremely attendant and helpful, and it was appreciated that they double checked allergies and restrictions before we began. All of the food was delicious. Only downside is that although there was 15 courses, they are spaced out 1-2 bites over the course of 2 hours, so although delicious, wife and I were still hungry at the end.
Enjoyed the presentation but overall dishes had sauces that are on the sweeter side. Fun wine pairing though! Both my husband and I left a little hungry still. Maybe as chefs, we expected to be wowed but we didn’t try anything that did that.
What's not to love? Divine, beautiful food, elegantly served in a gorgeous room. We loved every second, bite and interaction. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
The most incredible special meal my family has ever had
Amazing, everything the highest standard!
Best fine dining restaurant in New York City, quite possibly the world.
One of the most incredible meals we have had anywhere around the world. Every course was thoughtfully crafted and exploded with flavors and textures. The wine pairings were genius and went well as the dinner progressed. Besides the food…the service was impeccable. The timing was spot on, the explanations and engagement were spot on. Bravo to the staff and Chef! We will be back soon!!
Definitely worthy of the Michelin stars. I think we had 14 courses — four deserts. Impeccable preparation and presentation. The sommelier was particularly helpful.
Really great food, environment, service. Every course is fantastic.
Loved the food! My friend and I enjoyed every course. The staff were all very attentive and we enjoyed the night so much.
Well deserved Michelin stars! Super delicious. Highly recommend for real foodies.
Fantastic! So delicious! My favorite dishes are the uni, Black cod, langoustine, and the frozen soufflé!
It was amazing dinner.best restaurant in the world
Chef carefully designed and executed each dish. Although all dishes were attractively displayed and tasty, the most memorable were the tuna with caviar, the salmon, the Uni, and the black cod. The wait staff is courteous, quiet, and attentive. They choreograph their moves so that diners are served as quickly as the food is ready.
An experience my husband and I will remember forever! My husband has been wanting to try the Brooklyn Fare Chef's Table since it started in the Downtown Brooklyn location years ago. I surprised him for his birthday this year and racked up the brownie points for sure! I managed to get a reservation at the counter (best experience!) and we loved watching the artists prepare our delightful meal. The ambiance was so clean, calm and romantic. The service was impeccable. And of course Chef César Ramirez did not disappoint with his Japanese cuisine with included parts from all of the world. I have never had a meal like that in my life and probably never will again. So beautiful and magical, the flavors perfectly complimenting each other, dancing around in our mouths. Each plate was a masterpiece for both the eyes and our stomachs. Thank you Chef for making my husbands birthday a memorable one. It will be hard to top this one for years to come. Highly recommend! Would give it an infinite amount of stars if I could.
Impressive,Japanese and Europe combination
