   Overall the food was the star of the evening but there will need to be improvements in other aspects before we would return. First the positive items are primarily food based. The scallop appetizer was prepared well and each scallop is very substantial. The filet was excellent, well spiced and tender. The Alaskan Cod and risotto were also very good. And The Pearl for dessert is quite unique and enjoyable. As others have mentioned the wine list while not extensive is priced well and has a solid range of options. A live piano player was a nice touch as well. The main negative we experienced was a difficulty in maintaining a consistent temperature in the room. It would vary between chilly to quite warm then back to chilly. The hostess moved us to a booth which helped reduce the effect of the chilly draft. When we were first seated our table for 2 was missing a water glass and a knife but my main concern was we were not approached for 20 minutes and I had to inform the hostess in order to have someone approach our table. There was a close to 30 minute delay between our appetizer and the main course and we never received an update from our server and I did not receive a steak knife until I asked when the food arrived. Another negative is that our server did not explain the menu in detail as we heard being performed at other tables by a different server. At no time did a manager offer to help address the situation. So in summary a higher attention to detail will help balance out the overall experience to result in a favorable experience.

   This is really a gem. The service was great, the food was amazing and my wife couldn't stop talking about all the personal attention we received. We will definitely come back again.

   Perhaps the best in Southeast Michigan. Beautiful building with terrific artwork and architecture. The hostess, waiter and chef were amazingly friendly and out going. The quality of the food was terrific. Creative, well prepared and delicious. 3 different risottos were incredibly flavorful. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. The chicken was juicy and tender with fantastic taste. The scallops were perhaps the best I have had. Great wine list at fair prices. The deserts were light and very tasty. Clearly home made.
