Going back to a place you really like the first time is always a risk, but Setai Grill lived up to the challenge. The short rib dumplings were as amazing as we recalled, which was pretty amazing. We tried the hamachi, which was terrific. The blend of textures and heat is unique and executed perfectly. The steaks are perfection; both the filet and the churassco - no need to wander into the "extra charge" offerings, the standards are large and delicious. The Setai fried rice is a treat and the wasabi spinach came out originally not as good as the first time we tried it, which the waiter immediately acknowledged and replaced with the real deal! Sesame panna cota may not be for everyone but it is for us and was as good as the first time. Beyond the food, the service is both personal and highly professional and the dining room is beautiful.
Great food...great service. You are going to spend at least $300 for two; but it is worth it if you like great food and tremendous service.
My wife and I made last minute reservations here and we were very happy. The service, food, and atmosphere were excellent. I had the filet and my wife the tuna which were both wonderful. As good as the main course was the deserts were an even better experience. I highly recommend giving it a try.
Supremely over priced- $700 for 2 people. + wine. Food was good but not great... Not memorable. Sorry

The location is really quiet and beautifully set. If you leave the restaurant, you come into the Bar, where there is a lot of action!!
The price for the dining is high, but more than fair, in respect to what you get!!
The only negative point, which doesn't have to do with the restaurant, is that the bar is extremely overpriced!
My friends and I enjoyed a birthday vacation in Miami and I chose the Setai Grill for my birthday dinner reservations. The hotel itself is lovely-sleek, sharp and refined. We did notice the outdoor fountain in the courtyard area which is reserved for cocktail hour. The restaurant was beautiful, but I wish there had been an option to eat outside by the water as well, since it was stunning. The service was immaculate-staff made excellent recommendations and the food delicious. My favourite dishes were the tuna tartar and sashimi first course. The fish was fresh and melted in my mouth. I will recommend this restaurant to others in the future.
The entire meal from 1st course to dessert was oustanding. The miso soup was the best miso soup i have ever tasted and the black cod was sublime. The fried rice and steaks are divine. The bento box dessert is a must try.
We dined at Morimotos the previous night and Setai Grill blew them away. Kudos to the chef Denevin Miranda for an outstanding experience.
