It’s always a pleasure dining at this establishment. I enjoy Tristen & Kea as my server. They make the experience even that more enjoyable. The food (particularly the pasta and wings) can be far more spicer than for the average individual can tolerate. While seasoned well, the spiciness is more powerful. I ask patrons within proximity about their food, and most say I love spicy food, but this is really spicy. I appreciate the ambiance, dress code, and professionalism of the restaurant. Very clean looking from what I can see and that is major for my dining experience, especially for the servers.

The establishment was nice there were issues with fruit flies and flies flying around your food. We were more busy shooting the fruit flies and flies away from our food that we couldn't enjoy the establishment and food. I was not please that the establishment was aware of them having this issues after speaking with the Hostess. I had to inform the people that told me about the restaurant of my negative experience. Great ambiance for a quaint establishment. Awesome service. Waitress's name started with a T (sorry I forgot) but she was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable about menu items. My girlfriend and I both ordered the red snapper which came with dirty rice and plantain. Snapper was pan seared whole, garnished with tomatoes, microgreens and what tasted like a balsamic reduction. Great flavor, awesome presentation, but my rice was cold, and I was too hungry to send back. Also ordered the seafood mac & cheese, which was tasty but only had 1 shrimp in it..topped with crabmeat. Overall nice dining experience. Food was good..newly opened so some things can be tweaked but I would give them another try.

The FOOD!! The food was ABSOLUTELY delectable!! I have been looking for a place to take my 'bougie' friends and this place is IT! This is not a place for loud, obnoxious people. If you enjoy having a nice, relaxing meal with VERY good cocktails and intimacy, this is the place. My compliments to Chef Deshawn! We will be back!

Chef Kitchen is a wonderful little spot in Norfolk. I was thoroughly impressed by the decor and ambiance. The music was tasteful but maybe a tad to loud for my taste. The waitstaff was friendly but lacked that professional edge as skilled waitstaff, passing by frequently without making eye contact. There was several times where my date and I required something but had to wait bc the waiter never looked our way. We had the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. I found the Shrimp to be a little on the raw side. We both had the Seafood Mac & Cheese. We both found it very rich, cheesy and extremely decadent and very well presented. Now…If you’re looking for a variety of entrées to choose from this is not the place. Chef has a very limited menu and offer very few substitutions if any. My only other issue would be with the bench seating. The back is straight up and down which felt very awkward and uncomfortable. Overall, it was a very nice date stop, a bit on the pricey side with a wonderful ambiance. But an overall nice experience with a limited menu and limited parking.

Another great meal at Chef’s Kitchen and Cocktails. The last few time I dined here, I only ate appetizers. I tried every single one. The salmon egg rolls and popcorn shrimp were amazing. This time we ordered mains also. The red snapper!!! Amazing!!! I mean beyond belief tender, crispy, and flavorful. We finished our meal with fried banana pudding and chocolate cake. Yep we greedy but we could not resist.

The ambiance is great for a date night although the tables are a bit too close which makes it hard for you to not indulge in your neighbors conversations. My dish (the Rasta Pasta) was delicious as it provided just the right amount of spicy. My friend’s dish was a steak that combined the sides into one dish and the combined spices over powered the meal.

Wonderful experience! The calamari bruschetta was EXCELLENT! A must try! We asked for extra bread to scoop up all the yumminess! Rack of lamb & filet mignon cooked perfectly as requested. Beautiful ambiance and will definitely be returning.

We enjoyed the dining experience immensely. The ambiance was very relaxing with soothing music playing in the background and the decor pleasing to the eye. As for the food and service, both are top notch. We will visit there again with friends so they can get the same experience.

Dress code is highlighted as a priority but was not enforced. This was the second visit and the meal (apps/entrees) was drastically different from the first visit. Not sure if there was a new cook/chef on staff. Salmon egg rolls were burnt. Presentation of entree was devoid of any thought. Probably not going to go back as it appears that what made the spot an “exclusive” attraction has been sacrificed for something else.

The food and service here was excellent. We had the caesar salad and the bisque to start. Both were delicious. A lot of people don’t do caesar dressing right, but this one was perfect with just a little kick. Then we had the blackened red snapper and the short ribs. Everything on the plates was perfect. We finished with the fried banana pudding. It’s different than banana pudding, but the flavors are there and we both liked it. Definitely try this restaurant!

We loved the seafood Mac and cheese. The portion size is enormous! My husband and I were able to share 2 apps and split that entree with enough leftovers to take home. This is a quaint little spot with really nice decor. We had amazing service from our server. We will definitely be back!
