FOUR is a luxe & intimate restaurant located in Oyster Bay, New York offering inventive, multi-course tasting menus. This immersive dining experience of 12-15 courses lasts approximately 2 and half hours. Chef Jesse Schenker executes his menu from an open kitchen surrounded by a chef's counter and serves up to ten guests per seating.

FOUR is housed in a restored shingle Cottage, where the first floor has been transformed into an exhibition kitchen with aesthetic homage to Scandinavian design. FOUR connects to 2 Spring by a winter garden inspired by the Ritz Paris which links it to the old industrial building. Cellars running under all three structures hold kitchens, wine cellars & services for the dining areas.

Due to the integrity of the menu, dietary preferences/aversions will not be accommodated. Some allergies may be accommodated, please immediately inquire to info@4springstreet.com prior to booking. Salt, soy, seaweed and seafood cannot be eliminated.

    We were genuinely excited to dine at 4 for our anniversary dinner. The space was beautiful, and we had heard glowing things about the food. Sadly, what should have been a celebratory evening turned into a rushed and impersonal experience that left us disappointed. We had a 5:30 PM seating and were surprised to find ourselves back on the street by 6:15 PM when we thought it would be at least 90 minutes. The entire tasting menu completed in just 45 minutes. Each course was cleared the moment we put our forks down, and the next dish arrived seconds later. There was no pacing, no pause to savor the experience, and no meaningful conversation about the menu, ingredients, or concept. In other tasting menus we’ve enjoyed, the story behind each dish is just as memorable as the dish itself but here, it felt transactional. At one point, I was still enjoying my cocktail and hadn’t touched the next course, which had been set down only two minutes prior. Our server leaned in and asked if I was going to “skip this one” …a question that felt both awkward and pressure-filled. To make matters more confusing, we were the only guests in the room at the time. There was no reason for the rush. While the food itself was thoughtfully prepared and delicious, it wasn’t enough to justify the steep price tag…especially without the hospitality or rhythm that makes a tasting menu worth the splurge. Frankly, we’ve had far more fulfilling experiences (for less money) at iconic spots like Daniel, where service is both artful and unhurried. They did give us a glass of champagne to commemorate our anniversary but I wish the experience was less rushed. We won’t be returning

    Exceptional experience. The food was creative and wonderful. Service impeccable. And the chef’s were engaging and fun. Definitely a highlight and we will be back.

    Hands down the best dining experience we have ever had! Expensive but so worth it! You get what you pay for! The food was like nothing we have ever had. The service was fantastic and the decor of this intimate restaurant was perfect. We will definitely be back!

    Wonderfully curated selection of Japanese yakitori. Generous portions and the service through the multi course dinner moved quickly. Chef Jesse was omnipresent.

    Dinner at Four was nothing short of exceptional. We had the privilege of sitting at the Chef’s Table, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear we were in for a truly memorable evening. The attention to detail, both in presentation and flavor, was masterful—each course thoughtfully curated and flawlessly executed. The wine pairings elevated every bite, striking the perfect balance and enhancing the entire culinary journey. What truly set the evening apart, however, was the personal touch from the team. The chef came out between courses to share the inspiration behind the dishes, offering a rare and appreciated window into his creative process. His passion and pride were unmistakable and reflected in every plate. Our waiter was equally impressive—gracious, attentive, and genuinely warm. He helped create a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, perfectly suited to the occasion. This dinner was to celebrate my fiancée’s birthday, and the team went above and beyond to make her feel special. From the personalized touches to the celebratory dessert, it was a night we will never forget. High praise to everyone at Four—you’ve created something truly remarkable.

    This was a birthday dinner for my girlfriend who loves experiences. That is exactly what we got, a great dining experience! We were the only diners, it is all counter seating while you can see the chef prepare an incredible meal. Our server/host was so attentive and accommodating. We had a wonderful meal and a fabulous time! If you can, take advantage of the monthly special dinners prepared at Four, a very special experience awaits!

    The 4 J’s have done it again..Jesse, James, Jared, and Jenni delivered a terrific NY Eve dinner! 15 courses of amazing, creative, delicious plates. There is no place we’d rather celebrate the New Year! Thank you❤️
