   We were visiting the area and happened upon Chef's Bistro. The food was quite good (I had the thai curry vegetables and my husband had the ribeye (which was a bit over salted for our taste). The waiter was attentive but didn't seem to know the food all that well (he had to go to the kitchen to inquire a few times). Overall this was a great meal at a reasonable price.

   Casual and comfortable atmosphere, attentive waitstaff, and delicious food. A good choice for wrapping up a long day out.

   We have really enjoyed Chef's Bistro in the past, not so much this time. Over 1/4 of the menu was not available-seriously?! Then we order and oops, that is not available either. Someone is not staying on top of the situation and it shows.

   Our food was excellent! Our two dinners and an appetizer arrived at our table hot with attention to presentation. The Chichen Picatta was flavorful without being overly salted or overly spiced. The Veggie Burger was tasty and moist. The Tempura was flavorful in a very light,nongreasy batter. Service was very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was very lively as sound travels well in this rectangular space. The bright colors created a pleasant ambience.

   We were in North Conway for a family event but had an opportunity for light dinner one night. I was very inspired by the menu and decided to make a reservation. We were not disappointed! The food was all excellent - lots of options, very small plates/tapas-oriented but also offers mains as well. Lots of creativity in the menu, and the menu feels very farm-to-table. The space was very quiet the night we were there, so I'm sure it gets busier and louder, but we had a quiet, relaxed experience. Service was fantastic - attentive but not overwhelming. The next time I'm in the area I will definitely go back!

   I researched local N. Conway establishments and selected Chef B's. Most of the negative feedback I read was about length of time for service and delivery of food......unfortunately they still provided to be true. Our party of 6, 3 entrees, two sandwiches and a cesaer salad turned into a 2 hour adventure. I am pretty versed in service time and food prep, but when three tables (a 4 top, 3-top and a deuce) all sit after you or right around the same time, eat, pay and leave just as your entree's arrived, timing was an issue! The food, the appetizers were great, ahi tuna was small for the price, but very good tasting and I love the wasabi chick peas! Chef's meat/cheese board was something out of this world. A combination of the select meats, cheeses and breads was the hit of the meal! I have never had a combination like this, but for our group of 6, we all had a great sampling and an opportunity for picking on your favorite!!~AGAIN.....definitely a hit. Our entrees consisted of a Bolognese, rib-eye steak and chicken picata. The chicken was moist and flavorful, rib-eye cooked to perfection and the Bolognese........just ok! I might be spoiled with some regular favorites, but it was warm, not hot! The remaining meals were all hits, ceaser salad with crazy good side of cauliflower, and the ceaser wrap as well as the TPLT with special fries....Excellent! I sensed that the manager/maitre'd could feel our uncomfortableness with the delays as he did a couple of table visits, very polite and positive in manner, as well as sending a couple of house deserts, compliments of the chef!! The chocolate mouse was great and unfortunately non of our table are lemon lovers, so other desert was not touched! It was appreciated though...One good thing, I complimented the chocolate mouse with the blueberries over the lemon desert and........YUM!! New offering?? Server was average, asked for bread, 2X, told it was special order and then he appears with it? Odd? Definite return trip!

    What a gem to find this type of restaurant in North Conway. There's a lot of family friendly fare in the area but it was totally lacking a more upscale dining experience. A real find, and were sure to be back.
