Awesome experience. Great Bucket List place to go. Highly recommend this place whenever in Fort Worth area
the service as excellent and fun! the menu is very interesting and it was hard for all of us to make a choice. we had the stuffed mushrooms and they were a big hit.
can't wait to return!!! thanks for a GREAT eventing.
Keep the ambiance. Of the front section by the grill to illicit the enjoyed viewing of watching them prepare your meal for the 1st visit to empress.
I had already prepared my date to see the front section, and bragged on how the back section was the expected "fine dining" decor and experience.
Had I known it was downgraded, I wouldn't had waited beyond my reservation time for a front seating.
But still good, just have to adjust my description of the upcoming experience.
As advertised....casual atmosphere, very good food. Number one tip - make a reservation! This is the place to go if you want to dress casually (even a t shirt and shorts) while enjoying some very good, albeit rich, food. Excellent service. Great for families and a relaxed vibe, but personally I think not an upscale enough overall experience for a special occasion. For our night out, it was good... and I definitely wanted to see what all the hype was about.
We had a wonderful evening at Chef Point with friends from Dallas. They said it was definitely worth the drive. Excellent service from Hazen our waiter and from the hostess who served us. An EXTREMELY packed Saturday night, but we were seated shortly after we arrived. So glad that we used Open Dining as those reservations are given priority! Great flavors. Two of our party had the Goat stew, and one wanted the liver and onions, but it was sold out so it is obviously a crowd favorite. Nice wine selection.
They did not have the steak we wanted, so ordered different cut. Wanted fresh horseradish to go with it, by the time it got to our table the steak was cold. Server was quite annoying with the explanations and excuses. The experience did not live up to the hype and expectations.
Our first time, every single thing we ordered was awesome! Portions were large and I was glad as I got to eat the leftovers the next day! And it was just as good. Can't wait to go back.
Food never disappoints, service was great, dessert was divine!
First time there and will not be the last! Loved the service, food and atmosphere.
The food wow was great!...you have to try the appetizer nachos.. you will think you died and went to cheese heaven.
Chef's Point was an amazing hidden find in Watauga! My husband and I both loved our dishes and we also enjoyed an appetizer. I have a feeling there is not a bad thing on the menu! Definitely recommend!
We are repeat customers for a reason and we live 3 hours away! We have varied our menu choices and have always been delighted! They are doing it right...
This was so hyped up and everyone was talking about how good it was.
IT WAS A HORRIBLE letdown. It's a gas station with overpriced food and bad service.
I would have rather had McDonalds. Don't waste your money!
We returned to Chef Pointe after probably ten years to find a restaurant which seemed more directed toward providing huge portions of "local comfort food" rather than innovative views on local cuisine. As I plowed through the two large chicken breasts and pasta that made up my order of Chicken Parmesan, I kept wishing for a more interesting take on the old staple in lieu of just more....chicken parm. While I don't think that it was typical of all, our server was also pretty mediocre.
You gotta get the cioppino n What Nots! Great service, Thanks Brian n Austin!
Great food. Brought a date for her first time here and she loved it. Service was perfect. Hazan, our waiter, was great. The food was fantastic. The Italian nachos could have been a meal in themselves. Look forward to another visit.
This place was totally unique and had a great menu! Plus you can get gas and a soft drink in the lobby :) The patio looked amazing but we ate inside, need to try the patio next time.
We are new to the area and had been referred to chefs pointe by an acquaintance. We met up with friends for a night out. The food was phonomenal, service was great. A little pricey, but worth it. The only thing that could have been different to make for a better overall experience was some type of live entertainment.
The food was amazing, everything we had was delicious. Great atmosphere. Great service
Great experience! It was ours and our friends first time there! The super Bloody Mary was my whole meal! Drink was great, food was cold though on it. My husband and friends husband licked their plates clean so overall it was fantastic!
I think this restaurant is great. The food comes to your table hot and on point. Love the Lobster Mac & Cheese. Chef Point has a diverse menu and the food is great.
Did not like the amount of butter in my Alfredo, was pretty disgusted. But our waitress was amazing, the bread pudding was amazing. Everyone I ate with enjoyed their food alot, and the live music was great. Definitely will return.
Everything was outstanding food wise. What-nots, salmon tartare, ribeye, blackened stuffed pork chop and chicken, blackened fish, flourless brownie, bread pudding, apple pie !!!!
Our last visit before the expansion was so so. This time it was all back up to the culinary level it started out as!
Very very satisfied!!
Awesome food. Gourmet food in a gas station, who can beat that?
Anniversary and was disappointed no steaks on Sunday evening
Outstanding waiter tonight in Jonathan, our kids loved the mac and cheese, and I thought the chicken and waffles were awesome. Don't miss the bread pudding, best dessert ever.
We had been hearing about your place for quite a while and decided to give it a try. We had made a reservation and even though there were people lined up we were seated very quickly. The food was delicious. We sat outside so we were able to listen to the music that night. Even though very warm this day it was very comfortable with shade coverings and the fans. Will be coming back again. Thanks!
Ate there on a Saturday, arrived for 5:30 reservation and the table was ready. Our waiter was good but totally over the top on suggestions and seemed to be directing us to the most expensive items on the menu.
We had a mushroom appetizer which was very good. For my main portion I had the blackened, stuffed pork chop. If it was actually blackened I couldn't tell but it did seemed over cooked and was on the tough/dry side. The bread pudding that receives raves was nothing special and the sauce seemed to be a maple syrup reduction.
Ordered a Moscow Mule and I am not sure the bartender knew what that was. Came in a regular glass and was so sweet I could hardly drink it. On the whole I am sure I would have enjoyed the meal much more had it not been at least 85 degrees in the dinning room.
Best restaurant I've ever been to anywhere. Prices are reasonable. Excellent!
worst service/dining experience I've ever had. pretty much dropped on steamer on what was otherwise a great night.
10 minutes to great our table
took 20 minutes to get drinks which we ordered at the same time as apps.
took 50 minutes to get an appetizer. then our server, the manager, and another server stood behind us arguing over who was going to take over the table cause apparently "they weren't going to tip now".
Just completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
they were out of 3 different things on the menu but we had to order 3 times in a 20 minutes period to find that out. by that time they were past closing so we decided to retract 2 of the orders out of pure frustration and just have another round of drinks and leave. 3 of the 4 drinks made it to the table. my beverage was never to be seen. luckily it wasn't on the bill so im assuming the server just didn't care to put on my order just like with our 50 minute escargot.
left and wont ever return.
Our resv was at 7:30PM Fri night. Overall Chef Point never fails to provide good food at reasonable prices. Each of us had something different. We began with the nachos. Very Good. Our drink order was delayed in getting to our table and I'm not sure if that was due to the bar or our waiter. The waiter was extremely knowledgable of the menu selections. Food was delivered hot and plentiful. Overall a good experience.
GREAT Food, personalized service and The Jazz Monsters...what more could one expect in a Sunday evening, weekending meal. Patio was nice and airy and a little warm as you might expect in July. Wait staff went out of their way to please and assist us...food was flavorful and portions were sufficient. We will make the trip again, but with more friends!!
One in our party ordered mixed seafood dish, that was supposed to come with shrimp, scallops, calamari, mussels , clams in pasta. The dish came with 3 clams and 3 mussels in with the pasta. He continued to eat and look through the pasta but there was no other seafood in the dish. Of course our waitress was not to be found. Finally a manager came by the table and asked how our food was. We explained about the seafood-less pasta and he turned around and walked-off . About 10 minutes later he came back with 2 shrimp and 2 scallops on a plate. He explained the chef had indicated a dish did indeed go out without the seafood but, the seafood he brought was cooked fresh. By this time everyone else had finished their meal. Also, didn't like that he questioned if we were telling the truth about the seafood. The other food was good but nothing too special.
Most of us had a good dining
Experience. I ordered the
Worst meal ever. I did eat most
Of it. Neveragain.
Was here once before when it was "even more like a gas station". Perhaps it was so unexpected to get "gourmet" food while sitting next to a case of 10-W-40, but that first visit impressed me more than this most recent visit. Even though the gas pumps are still outside, it resembles more of a true restaurant now. I had the highly recommended pork chop and was completely underwhelmed. I doubt I'll be returning in the future.
As the food was fantastic. Had brought some out guess and they loved it
We went for Father's Day brunch and it was amazing! Very impressed and will definitely be back!
The Food Was EXCELLENT....Especially for the price! Wine List Great..a bit pricey by the glass, but not to take away from the gourmet meal. Best salmon I have had this side of Seattle,WA. DLB
Been here many times - Food was excellent as usual. Service, left a lot to be desired. It seemed our waitress was working too many tables and did not pay very good attention to us. This is unusual.
I was dining alone and the wait person took my order, brought my check and ignored me the rest of the time. I don't mind dining alone but when this happens I feel self-conscious and like I don't belong (I am a woman which may or may not be relevant to this issue). Also the menu wasn't the same as the one on the web site. It had fewer choices and I found that disappointing. I will be back at least once more because I really like the band that plays there on Sunday evenings (The Jazz Monsters). They cancelled the evening I was there because of bad weather.
This is the second time I have ordered & received meat that has a large amount of gristle and portions of fat; I am not sure what has changed with this restaurant but it would seem that the quality of the meat (Beef) is in serious question.
Other food I have received here has been very good and from now on if faced with returning to this restaurant I will not order any of their steaks.
I find it odd that the description of this restaurant is "upscale;" I've never eaten at an upscale restaurant that covers its tables in paper, just an observation.
