The food, ambience and service did not disappoint it was an amazing experience from start to finish Every dish was unique with sensational flavours presented beautifully I highly recommend this dining experience it was truly exceptional I cannot wait to come back!

Overall disappointing. The tasting menu was average, the music was way too loud and wasn’t fitting for the place (pop music). The gluten free / veggie alternatives were bland. I like tasting menus but unfortunately this place was below average. I’d say poor value overall and not what I was expecting.

Move over snail porridge, you have to try Jono's Potato, Parmesan and Coffee dish! I have eaten at many top end restaurants and it can all get a bit "oh great another nice dish" that tastes great but ultimately doesn't capture your interest enough to be memorable. This is where Jono's tasting menu is different and I will be remembering it for a very long time to come. Simple flavours made into a rich tasting exceptional new mix you've not experienced before. Mushrooms in tiramisu??? But it works!!! So earthy and yummy. One of our party said they didn't like fish pie and he had polished it off before the rest of us had, which speaks for itself. And a big thank you for the nostalgic moments I had in the first two courses with the Umami and malt loaf - it was just like being in my late grandma's house when I could smell her slow cooker and she gave me malt loaf with lashings of salty butter. It took me right back to those childhood memories. These were the standout moments for me but the other dishes do not disappoint either. Its a lovely cosy restaurant and Jono is out and about serving the food and making sure everything is running smoothly. It was lovely to see all the staff's enthusiasm and energy in their job roles. I had the wine pairing which was excellent, and especially the chilli and basil margarita. The staff were very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Overall a truly unforgettable evening.

Excellent food and service as usual in this gem of a restaurant hidden away up (several) flights of stairs. They do play a fine background soundtrack, a little louder than I would have liked at first but that was remedied.

We received a text to say our table was ready, which was great, it meant we got there a bit early. Greeted by lovely staff and discussed what we had done during the day and shown the menu. We had 5 course Sunday lunch, every course was very delicious.

On our booking form we had noted that it was for a special occasion- our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. When we entered the restaurant we were congratulated on our special day; a really nice touch. Everything was explained in detail; the drinks pairings and each course of food. We weren't rushed at all,so could enjoy each course. Every item of food was absolutely delicious and it was obvious care and attention had been taken in presentation. Very good value for money. Every member of staff genuinely treated us with respect, were friendly and took time to chat to us.

Lovely food well presented, enjoyed all the courses. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and enjoy watching the chef prepare the meals. Service was excellent and prompt, just the right amount of attention. Only slight quibble would be I found the background music slightly too loud. We will return, maybe try the Sunday lunch this time .
