Café Hannes has always been my favorite restaurant in town. The staff is friendly, considerate and always checking in to make sure all is well. The food is delicious. Every single time. Delicious wines and a cool atmosphere. Reminds me of a Parisian cafe. This place will not disappoint.

Very tasty food combinations. Service excellent. The salad with fried watermelon was surprisingly delicious. The large number of specials for the day complemented the regular menu fare very well.

For my birthday I chose here. Every meal is prepared perfectly to our taste each time. The food is gourmet without a gourmet price. Service is excellent. Best food around.

I hadn't visited Chef Hannes for many years and the menu has changed a bit. The atmosphere is the same with an option for outdoor dining which is nice. We had a very comfortable table inside near the door, at our choosing. The food selection is not overwhelming and the quality is good no matter what you order. I had the pork chops and my dining partner had the spaghetti and meatballs. We were both happy with our meals and the value for what you get is outstanding in the area.

What a great neighborhood find!! The staff are all so pleasant and you can feel they enjoy being there, compliments to the chef for some tasty morsels of fresh bread with a type of daviola sauce (but it's not called that), the lamb shank was amazing and although there are several "specials", we tried the Gumbo, unusual for an Italian restaurant. While it was very tasty, it seemed more like it should have been a risoto. At any rate, the evening was amazing and the quaint side walk cafe feel is a definite recommendation!!!

Been eating at this restaurant for many years. Always pleased. Sorry to see they are charging for bread, although it was incredible and the crust was crunchy. Prefer their previous dipping sauce to the one being served now. I hope in the future they will bring back some of the dishes they used to serve. The sausage with vegetables baked in a dish was out of this world. I had Penne with tomato meat sauce and it was so good. Served very hot and the water well drained as it should be. A little spice and every so good.
