Went for Mother’s Day. The food was great and so was the service!
It was my Birthday. We had confirmed the reservation on Friday (2 days before our reservation). Once we got there, our table was not ready and once we were squeezed into a table meant for 10. The service was slow and the food was okay.
The minute we approached the restaurant, we had a feeling that we are in good hands: Complimentary valet parking, outstanding food and good service.
Although the service was great, the Eggs Benedict left a lot to be desired. The eggs were not fully cooked and I got a nickel sized piece of eggshell. Very disappointing.
I went to Chef Geoff's for the Sunday Brunch on Mother's Day with my mother, my mother in law, and my husband. My initial impression was not favorable. Our table for four only had three chairs, and we were only given three menus. After waiting a while for this to be corrected, we simply took what we needed from another table nearby. My mother was not happy that both appetizers were sweet - as a diabetic, this left her with no choices. She was happier after the server said she could exchange the Yukon potatoes for a salad on her entree. Frankly, I wish I had done the same: three quarters of my plate were covered with large, hard slabs of potato. I had the Parisian Eggs Benedict: the hollandaise was wonderful, the eggs perfectly cooked, but inexplicably there was pecorino cheese, which is really not Parisian, and the monument of potatoes. My husband had the frittata and salad, and said the frittata was just "ok" but the salad was very good. Initially he asked for Campari and soda to drink and was told there was no Campari, but someone went hunting in the basement and found a bottle for him. Oh, and my bottomless mimosas were room temperature. Ugh. I know this sounds like a lot I was not happy with but if I avoid the mimosas next time and replace the potatoes with a salad, I think it would be much better.
Food was horrible for price and service was incredibly slow
It wasn’t busy and we had to wait almost 20 mins for our server, ended up stopping another server and she took our order. Food arrived quickly though and most of it was good.
I have been to this restaurant a couple times but the last time I ate here was quite a while ago. I was disappointed in the menu, as it seemed on open table there were more choices, and found our meals to be fair. The meal was very disappointing in all aspects...quality of food, presentation, and the whole dining experience. My husband and I decided to go for Mother's Day dinner out and wouldn't return back to the restaurant.
Yummy cocktails. Love the truffle popcorn.
The day before Mother's Day a few gals were gathered for lunch.
WE were offered only a specialized menu with very limited options.
I thought we would have been offered the usual lunch menuc.
Mushroom pizza was tasteless and had way too much cheese on it. Very disappointing. Salmon BLT was fairly good but somewhat difficult to eat. Generally disappointed in the menu options-too much comfort food and not many menu items with interesting flavors.
The food is always excellent. The specials are unique. The noise level and comfortable seating
make visits for seniors just perfect.
Very nice ambience with manageable noise level. Good menu selections; superb service
Great experience! Came here to celebrate an anniversary, had a nice quiet booth in the back room with a professional but friendly server. Sriracha cauliflower was amazing but significantly spicy of course, and a very generous portion. Just got the mixed lettuces salad for entree, but it was very nice, and I loved the option of putting fried portobello on it (one of many protein add-ons you could choose from). My husband thoroughly enjoyed his crabcake sandwich, and we appreciate the option to have a gluten free bun. Bourbon pecan pie was decadently delicious, so the reasonable portion was appreciated. Wine was very nice but cocktails only okay -- palatable, but not quite the flavors expected (pear martini did not taste like pear, jalapeno in margarita was mostly undetectable). Would definitely come back for variety of tasty food options as well as service and ambiance.
Lovely atmosphere, delicious food (have the honey sriracha cauliflower), and attentive service. I liked this location even better than the downtown locations. A little noisy, but they were nice enough to seat us in a quieter area.
Really great food options, a good variety. The quality and presentation of the food was above my expectations. We came with a group of 11 people and absolutely everyone was raving about the food and the service. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely will be back
Valet parking and ease of access put Chef Geoff's high on my list for Tysons-area business lunches. Fun spot and vibrant scene for Happy Hour too. Grab a table on the patio in nice weather - relaxed atmosphere and attentive service. Today we all special ordered our burgers and the wait and food prep staff got it perfectly. Delicious sweet potato fries.
We decided to stop by at Chef Geoff’s Tysons on our way to the shopping center next by. We ended up having multi-course dinner because they had really good selections of food and drinks. It was early; the atmosphere was calm yet they were a few other tables seem to be enjoying their dinner as well. I have also noticed more people in the bar area; assuming the Happy Hour is great here. I got the Veal Meatloaf for my entree and it was one the best things I had in a while (and I eat out a lot). Staff was friendly and efficient. The general manager checked on us and helped us to sign up for their loyalty card. We will definitely be back!
Service could be better. Management was really nice and trying to accommodate us. They brought our salad and food together. We asked to get the salad first, they took the dishes back and told us they will make the steak and fish again. The same dishes came back and the steak was tough as it's been sitting in the kitchen. We sent it back. The fish was amazing!! Overall, the service needs improvement.
Lovely Sunday brunch. Great food, attentive but not intrusive service. Bottomless mimosas were a hit as were the mini-donuts. Specifically chose this place over others for decent noise levels since these friends had a lot of catching up to do!
Average food, below average service. Pizza was soggy and we had to ask for our bill several times. Scallops were over salted.
We were seated in a quieter back room. It was a great evening, and there’s was no hurry or pressure on us to turn over the table. The food was good.
Jill the Manager and our Server were amazing but the food was So-so, under cooked steak but the real issue was the noise. It was almost deafening in the area of the restaurant that we were sitting and I say this as a prior military individual was damaged hearing. The manager called me a week later and told me they had a private party so that explains why the noise was so loud. I recommend trying this place.
Chez Geoff's Tyson's is a great venue for lunch or dinner at Tyson's. The have a diverse menu and a broad wine and liquor selection. Service is excellent. When only my wife and myself are dining, we frequently dine at the bar. Chez Geoff is well worth of a visit -
We had a late lunch starting at 1:30 and the service was very slow even though they weren’t busy felt like we had continue to flag down our waitstaff
The food was good (not great), but the service was terrible. Our waiter would disappear and never checked on us; we waited an HOUR to order. The order was incorrect, but he would never know since he never checked on us. We asked for a quiet table and they seated a group of ten celebrating a millennial's birthday next to us. Don't think they changed the decor since it was Colvin Run. This was a Sunday night at 5:30. Won't be back
Excellent food however the service was very spotty. The young man who waited on my table was not knowledgeable about the menu. He came to our table buttoning his shirt (I guess he just started the work shift) and his entire demeanor was less than professional. The service and atmosphere did not match the excellent food.
Chef Geoffs has very tasty food, cooked very well. It is fairly popular so it was crowded and because it is open area setting it gets fairly loud. Also because it was busy the service suffers and you just have to be patient. They do try to give good service but perhaps just need a little more help. The servers were very courteous and did apologize for the slowness of service.
Over all it is worth the noise and slow service.
We have been going to this restaurant since it first opened years ago and have mostly been pleased with it. Until the recent year or so... I feel compelled to comment, hoping that some changes will be made. When we arrived last week for our dinner, the hostess told us that part of our party was already there and seated at our table. When we told her that we arrived all together and we did not have anyone else in our party, she took us to our table but noted that other people were already sitting in it. So she took us to another table in the rear room. Even though we reserved for 5 people, we were seated at a table for 6. Our original waiter seemed rude and annoyed with us after we asked for the extra place setting to be removed. We felt that his tone was reprimanding when he told us to remove a jacket from the back of the extra chair. When we tried to explain that this was not our table to begin with, and our reservation was for 5 people, he very rudely and curtly told us he would get the manager. Well, the manager never came, and instead another more pleasant waiter served us. He was fine. However, one of our drink order and one of our food orders was delivered wrong and the glass of white wine we ordered was literally lukewarm. When we asked for a chilled glass of wine, we were brought a new glass, equally lukewarm. At the end of the dinner, we were told by someone who did not introduce himself that we would not be charged for the wine. We saw from the bill that we did indeed get charged for a glass of wine, just not the one we sent back! This was an overall and embarrassing and very suboptimal dining experience for us and for our out of town friends. The service at Chef Geoff’s Tysons has progressively gotten worse and this was not our first bad experience there. Needless to say, we won’t be going back for a good while, until we hear that the waiters have stopped reprimanding the guests!
Food was quite good, but service was slow even though the evening was not busy at all. Desserts were quite expensive for the serving size.
We celebrated Easter Sunday at Chef Geoff. We had one of the best dining experiences I can remember. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant and the quality of the food. I will definitely be back as soon as possible.
Solid menu options for Easter Brunch. Great service. Very dependable.
Wonderful wait staff.
Easter brunch- so glad we picked there. We were early and they sat us right on time. Everything great and festive
My family went to the Tysons Chef Geoff's for Easter Brunch. The food was great! My sons are picky eaters and they really enjoyed it. The service was very good - friendly and very efficient.
Food was very good. Service was inconsistent, server needed more training. Did not clear table, had to ask other server to send him to our table with bill.
This is my second visit to Chef Geoff's. I was not too impressed with the food, maybe my expectations were too high for Easter Sunday brunch (no fresh orange juice for example). Service and atmosphere was good.
Anniversary brunch with my boo was amazing
Most disappointing visit in long time Very long wait. waiter try to explain wait with film crew in kitchen, Rather lame excuse I guess I will have check next time if customers were being served or something else was priority
