My wife and I were looking for a good dinner in a nice restaurant. Although the restaurant wasn't crowded, we were placed in the bar area. This wouldn't have been an issue except that we were served by the bartender who was inattentive, at best. Ordered a 2014 wine and after being served we noted we were given a 2015. When we mentioned this, the bartender brushed us off stating, "yeah, sometimes we run out and they change it". He asked about bread, then didn't bring it. We had a better interaction with the guy dropping off the food; who did finally bring us some bread. The food was excellent, however, we expected more than Applebee's service.

Cold, wet night, I think they appreciated our coming out. Staff was friendly and attentive. Love that they offered tastes before we purchased a bottle of wine. Husband had the trout with sweet and sour cauliflower (recommended by server) he said best meal he’s had in a long time...outside the home ;)
Entrees are a little pricey but good for a special occasion or date night.

This is my second visit to Chef Geoff's. The service was excellent. I enjoyed my salmon burger and the rose wine that I chose. My friend had a kale pizza that looked scrumptious. We had a great lunch.

My wife and I have been to CG’s many times, and this special Valentines dinner was no different. The food and the wine list is phenomenal. I suggest you stop by on any given night. You will certainly find something on the menu that gets your attention, and pleases the palate.

Chipped glass, missing side order, long wait just to get drinks, soup delivered without a spoon .... in fairness the first sub par experience I have had here, so I’ll put it down to being overly busy on account of Valentines Day.

How lucky to have Valentine’s Day fall on half price bottle of wine night - not many local restaurants stock Barboursville Cab Franc! The lobster ravioli was fabulous as was the crab cake. Alway a great meal here.

Fat Tuesday at CG was very nice. Always new tastes offered by the Chef. A bit noisy, but the booths allow for a private, romantic dinner. BZ!!

We just had Sunday brunch there. The menu was imaginative without being crazy -- best of all, the food was perfectly cooked. And the service was unobtrusive but completely responsive to our needs.
