Very nice outside on a spring evening. Lots of families, two dogs.
Just ok. Restaurant temp was a bit warm and stuffy. Food not up to quality I remember but fine. Dessert was very good, cheesecake with berry compote made it all better. Service was

Another nice dinner at Chef Geoff's! We ahd the softshell crab sandwich with bacon which was excellent, similar for the curried chicken and the crabcake.
I used to love Chef Geoff's but I think they have spread their talent too thin as they have expanded.
The food was incredibly bland for all three of the adults. The waiter was very nice, but the kitchen quite slow.
I was sick that night, and my wife was sick a couple years ago after a meal there. (and we aren't drinkers, so its not that.)
we really loved the place--even had our engagement party there back in 2005. such a disappointment. won't go there again.

I've celebrated Father's Day here 4 years in a row and it has always been the best experience!

Great experience for Father’s Day Brunch! We had the bottomless mimosas and tried all flavors among three people. We loved our waiter Terry, who is fluent in 7 languages including sign language.
We had the falafel waffle, the hangover burger, eggs benedict and baja burrito. No regrets! Great food, friendly and professional service and at the end the delicious freshly made chocolate chip cookie made our experience perfect!

Mini reunion of travel group. The experience at Chef Geoff was okay. Not bad and not super. I had requested outdoor seating when I made reservations and was disappointed to be seated inside as it was a beautiful day. The server was not rude, but certainly not friendly. Overall, average.
Hello, Apologies for not being able to accommodate your group on the patio. It's our goal meet everyone's requests but nice weather can fill the patio fast. Please reach out prior to your next visit and I will get you situated on the patio- weather permitting...:) Cheers, David Lynch General Manager
Watermelon gazpacho was FABULOUS! All food was wonderful. Our daughter just moved into a condo in the area, so this was our first visit to this Geoff Tracy location, but it won't be our last. Looking forward to a nice evening so we can sit outside!
Good company and good weather. It is very telling that these are the only two good things we can say about our dining experience since they are both outside the control of the restaurant. Chef Geoff's really let us down.
I ordered the steak which is served with a port wine shallot sauce and blue cheese fondue and requested the cheese sauce on the side. When it arrived, there was a weird-looking orangeish sauce on the side and nothing that looked like cheese sauce. When we finally tracked down the server (as my steak sat, getting cold), she agreed that this didn't look like cheese sauce. While we awaited her return, I tried my steak, and it was extremely dry and tough. When she finally returned with the cheese sauce, I asked about the port wine shallot sauce because the steak didn't seem to have any on it. She first claimed that it was there "around the steak". I said, okay, but it seemed like a lot less sauce than I had had before with the same dish at the Tysons location (you couldn't see any sauce at all). I then tried to salt the meat to pull what flavor I could out of it. Nothing would come out of the salt shaker so I opened it - it was one big clump. That's OK, I thought, I'll get another shaker. I went to an empty table and tried their salt shaker. Same result. So, the next time we saw the waitress, I asked if I could have some salt and explained that I couldn't get any out of the two salt shakers because they were clumps of salt. At that point, she told me that the weird-looking orangeish sauce was the port wine shallot sauce. She indicated that she knew I had not asked for it on the side, that she had placed the order correctly, and the kitchen had made a mistake. However, she did NOT offer to correct the mistake - to us, this is the worst a restaurant can do - you admit the order is in error, but don't offer to correct it. Rather, you expect the customer to live with the kitchen's mistake!
Stay away from the spicy turkey pasta. It was terrible.
We work hard to meet everyone's expectations and we are sorry to hear an item missed the mark. We would love for you to have an entree that's to your liking . Please email me prior to your next visit so we can make sure your flavor experience is wonderful. DavidL@chefgeoff Cheers..
Great burgers! The best in town. Always an interesting menu with seasonal variances. Love the outdoor seating.
My first visit to CG's, and it did not live up to its billing. The food was good (my softshell crab was nicely prepared), but the service was disappointing. I suppose this is the new hip restaurant gestalt -- dour tatooed servers (and maitress) with an air of asperity and no inclination to do anything to make a diner's visit more pleasant. Makes one wonder whether CG's does not treat its staff well. I still tipped over 20%, but it was not deserved.
Great Restaurant. I wish they would give a little more attention to the music being played.
Our server was phenomenal and the food was delicious! I had not been to Chef Geoff's in a few years but I will definitely be going back more frequently!
....we always look forward to a visit to your garden at the new Mexico location when the weather is conducive as it was yesterday.
Weather prevented outdoor dining, all in all great anniversary dinner. Waiter was amazing and very knowledgeable.
Our waitperson, while very attentive, needs better training on how to approach a table and wait until there’s a break in the conversation before barging right in and interrupting whoever is talking. He did this on several occasions so clearly he has not been properly trained on what it means to serve graciously.
It was great as usual. Unfortunately we got caught outside in the hail storm and had to flee leaving our food behind (almost finished) but we saved the wine!
Consistently great food and service. Their outdoor patio is one of the best - nice and cool, shaded. Our top pick for brunch
Cauliflower appetizer spectacular!
A favorite venue.
They have great vegan options too! We had a wonderful experience - great food, beautiful outdoor patio, and best of all was the manager David. My husband and I are vegan, and David made sure we were well taken care of with plenty of delicious dining options. The chef has some go-to vegan options that are not on the menu - rice and buckwheat noodles prepared as an Asian-inspired dish or an Italian-style pasta dish. Their pizza dough is vegan so you can order a pizza without cheese and the chef can add a ton of fresh, unique veggies. Our food was prepared with such care - we will definitely be back soon!
I had one of the best dining experiences of my life! Not only was the food delicious with wonderful flavor combinations, but the manager went out of his way to help me with my parking situation. When I entered I mentioned that I could not find my parking stub. He said that the gates were all automated so I would not be able to exit without it. He spoke to the owner (Chef Geoff himself) to move his car through the gate in order to be issued another parking stub. After I left the restaurant, to my surprise, the manager met me at the parking gate with a validated ticket to open the gate. I am astonished at his ingenuity and so thankful for his graciousness in offering help and enlisting his boss. Many thanks to the manager on duty (whose name I never learned) and to Geoff for going beyond the call of duty in helping a damsel in distress.
My friends did not know about my parking dilemma but raved about our dinner -- each got a different fish dish so we could taste them all -- and definitely want to return. Half-Price wine night was a bonus and the sauvignon blanc was the perfect accompaniment. Although the temperature was warm, sitting outdoors in a shaded spot and under and umbrella was absolutely delightful for me a condo dweller with no balcony.
A very pleasant and comfortable dining room
Pleasant and helpful staff
Great place to eat. I've been dining and recommending Chef Geoff for years.
The portion of the spinach salad was small, given the price.
We brought my cousin, visiting from Sarasota, to brunch, and we weren't disappointed! The outdoor ambience on a lovely warm day couldn't be beat, the service was top-notch, and the food was wonderful. She just loved it. As perfect as it could be. Many thanks!

The experience at Chef Geoff was awful. We were a party of 9 with 3 kids under ten Service was terrible. It took a hour to get drinks and bread. It was so dark inside you could barely see the menu or the person across from you. Candle light (which kept going off)only! I’m not sure why because it is not a romantic atmosphere. Food was not great. Very average. Not sure what the hype about this place is. Will definitely not return.
Danielle, Thank you for telling us about your recent experience at Chef Geoff's - DC. We take a lot of pride in what we do so it's disheartening to hear that we did not meet your expectations. Thank you again for taking the time to let us know and we sincerely hope to see you again in the near future. Cheers.. David Lynch
Everything was great, food was very good but the service started to fail when they got busier. We sat inside and it seemed that they only had one waiter, so we had to ask to get our drinks refilled more then once. But I’d go back.
I ordered a softshell crab BLT and asked to have the crab served on the side. After the waiter understood my request, he said fine. the crab was good, but the BLT was terrible. It was served without bacon and with one puny slice of tomato.
We asked for lemon for the water right away, but had to ask again, along with a request for bacon. more careful attention needs to be paid to plating.
(it was very quiet that day; outdoor tables were only half full.)
A middle of the road eatery. Neither great nor awful. Nice patio in good weather.
Mother’s Day, two college graduations! Chef Geoff’s did a fantastic job.
We were celebrating the day as a family and service was especially thoughtful, given we had a baby in a stroller to accommodate. Always delicious and enjoyable. A neighborhood restaurant that keeps everything fresh -- ! Cocktails splendid.
Excellent crab cakes ! Service was good and we left very happy.
We were seated in the bar area which had a hint of bleach smell. The bar was out of limes at 7:00pm on a Saturday night. While our server was very polite and seemed very green. It took 20 minutes to get a second glass of wine.
Always reliable, flavorful array of choices. Go with the daily specials to maximize your satisfaction!
Terrible service. Have never had a worse experience with a restaurant. The waiter only asked for our drinks and a hostess had to take our order, not going back
Great food. Great service. Sitting on the patio was fabulous!!
