Had the tuna tartare appetizer and the scallop entree, both specials, and were very good and decent value for the price. Service was excellent. Best patio in town. Also comfortable place for a single diner

Our experience at Chef Geoff was disappointing. While we love the atmosphere outdoors, the service was poor due to not enough servers to cover a busy dinnertime. The food is our main complaint. My salmon was dry, and the bread basket is no longer gratis. It seems ordering a $28 entree should merit a side of bread. My husband's Chef Geoff burger, which he had ordered cooked medium, was beyond well-done. We've had great burgers at Chef Geoff's in the past, which is why we've usually gone there for burgers. But we may have to change our burger venue after this experience.

Great drinks, appetizers and salad was excellent. Chicken sandwich was ok, fries were delish. Ravioli was perfect.

Our server was outstanding, attentive but not hovering. Our appetizers were excellent (lemon hummus and the tuna tartare). We had salads with shrimp added as protein and they were fine but super expensive given the $11 add on for shrimp. Admittedly there were a lot of shrimp (too many for me to eat) but fewer shrimp for less would have made more sense. With the shrimp add on the salads ended up being more than any (or just about any) other entree. Not usually one to complain about price but this really wasn’t worth it. Also the 5% initiative 82 add on is just annoying. Makes it look like DC is charging yet another tax when it is Geoff simply trying to offset that he has to pay an almost living wage to his employees. Protesting the new law in this way just makes it clear he doesn’t want his employees to make a living wage. Sad.

Great neighborhood spot with an ample patio, pleasant and attentive service and good food. Menu has options for all diets and prices are reasonable. All of this makes Chef Geoff’s any easy week night or weekend choice for family and friends.

Had a great server, Hannah, and the food was delicious. The house brand cava seems different from the one before - not as good that’s the reason I gave 4 stars
