We usually love Chef Geoff’s but were disappointed last night. Our server, Jordan was great, but my order arrived wrong, fries instead of a side salad, my husband’s fish and chips was soggy and the tartar sauce seemed to have been hastily put together with the wrong spices. There was an overwhelming amount of Old Bay in what should have been Mayo and pickles. To be fair, we did not ask Jordan to fix either order as she was very busy. My biggest complaint was that my burger was supposed to be $12 and I was charged the regular price. So, dinner ended up being $50 with tip. (Not counting the $20 cash tip I gave Jordan for her college fund. ) All of my complaints could have been fixed had I wanted to make a fuss so that is on me.

A favorite spot. I do wish they’d bring back the kale salad w cherries, pecan crumble etc.

Nicest manager and such nice staff...considerate, efficient, thoughtful. Nice level in patio is fine; indoors loud, so on balance gave it moderate noise rating.

Caesar salad with salmon. Jumbo grilled shrimp. Both were cooked perfectly and delicious. Sat at the outside patio and it was perfect.

Restaurant needs to do a better job hiring and training their wait staff. Waiter interrupted an important business conversation to ask if we wanted water. When we politely told him we needed more time he kept asking about drinks and appetizers. I mean…come on…take a verbal and visual cue. Then the guy disappeared and when we were ready he was nowhere to be found. When we did order our drinks he brought the wrong glass of wine to one of our party (brought a chardonnay instead of a Cabernet). Food was delivered by a runner with literally a paper ticket in their hands which was extremely unprofessional. Entrees were delivered to the wrong people and we all had to exchange dishes. Two of us ordered gumbo which was barely even warm and had to be sent back to be heated up. The food here taste wise is uniformly great but the last few times we’ve been here it’s like there is no manager keeping an eye on things. They need to get this stuff corrected or they are going to lose some long time customers.

I ordered a beef taco but was brought a fish taco . I took 1 bire. I am allergic to fish. Fortunately i had a benedryl and had no adverse reaction. No question about allergies from server. I was comped by it could have been worse

The food and service are good. However, I have an issue with the restaurant charging me a “wage” fee that is not considered tip. If the restaurant needs to pay a better minimum wage then they need to figure that into their price/profit margin.
