   Maybe it’s not fair to compare but the art Smith restaurant we ate at in Orlando was 10 times better in terms of food and batter in-service. Our food last night was marginal that best smaller than average portions. The kids meal came with cold mac & cheese. The chicken seems to have been fried much earlier in the day. The chicken sandwich was way overcooked. Service was just OK not fun at all very serious. Cesar the place was fairly dead probably on par for Monday night but you would have thought they were busier. when I mentioned something to the staff about the food they didn’t seem all that concerned.. We are never never never going back to art Smith reunion at Navy pier

   This experience was such a mixed bag - the food was fantastic, but the service left a bad taste in our mouths. We had reservations at 7:15 and were seated promptly, but our server did not come to our table for 10+ minutes (no greeting, no I’ll be right with you, etc). It was busy, so we weren’t bothered. When our server arrived, we put in an order for an appetizer and our meals. The appetizer (hush puppies) came out in a reasonable time, and it was delicious! It was probably another 10 or so minutes after we finished our appetizer when our server came back and told us he forgot to put in our entree order. He apologized, and again, we recognized it was busy and things happen. We gave him our order again, and eventually were served. The sides with one order were incorrect, but at that point we decided not to even say anything. Our meals (the fried chicken and hot chicken sandwich) were fantastic! We had just finished when our server walked by, and without stopping or saying anything, left the check on our table. When he came back, we said we wanted to do a dessert, and he told us the kitchen was closed, and the restaurant was closed (there were a few other tables also wrapping up, but it was pretty quiet at this point). While the food was delicious, we were really disappointed with the service. I have never had a reservation, and then not been given an opportunity to complete our meal before. The only reason we were there late was because our server was slow and forgot to put our order in, and then we were unceremoniously kicked out. The food was delightful, we loved the ambiance, but the poor service and way we were kicked out was really awkward.

   Great restaurant. Food is delicious and unique. Atmosphere is relaxed and upbeat. Waitstaff is pleasant. We have a good experience every time we dine here.

   Its a lovely decorated restaurant but they have only been consistent with the braised greens so far. I had the chicken sliders. Delicious, made to order. Pimento grits, not bad. Very rich and I'd recommend the regular grits. Salmon with Brussels and sweet potato, delicious. Fried chicken was just cooked and a blood spot at the bone. Hummingbird cake, delicious.

   An excellent addition to Navy Pier. Good menu and great Happy Hour prices. The chicken sliders were particularly good and a great value.

   Specifically requested a table rather than a booth. Seated at a booth. Hostess did not even try to help. Service slow and apathetic. Food expensive and mediocre. Overall disappointing.

   The dining room and seating were excellent. The food was hot, presented well and delicious. Our server sadly was not engaged as she should have been and slow to return to our table. We had a great bus guy you cleared & brought us a refill on water & napkins. Waited too long for our server to come back after dropping off a dessert menu - we ultimately took our dessert to go.

   Terrible and slow service. Had asked for no onions in salad twice and it arrived with onions. Asked for server to come back three times to order drinks. They always seem short staffed here even at 5 pm!!! Two visits like this at navy pier. Will not return.
