Dining together allows us to better understand who we are, regardless of our social status. The food does not have to be elegant, complicated, or fancy. We find that busy people like simple food—the busier they are, the simpler the food. Our menu is straightforward, down-home Southern food with a few more contemporary dishes.

Getting back to the table allows us to love and nurture each other and renew connections to our families—however they may be configured—in this diverse and ever-changing society. Such connections are crucial in a fast-paced world where we feel more disconnected every day. One of the best ways we know how to restore that daily balance is to sit down at our table.

We should all think about returning to the sanctity of the table, where we can rebuild our families whether they be given or chosen, and reconnect with those we love and choose to love. Our table is a familiar, uncomplicated, friendly place where we can celebrate.

An excellent addition to Navy Pier. Good menu and great Happy Hour prices. The chicken sliders were particularly good and a great value.

Specifically requested a table rather than a booth. Seated at a booth. Hostess did not even try to help. Service slow and apathetic. Food expensive and mediocre. Overall disappointing.

The dining room and seating were excellent. The food was hot, presented well and delicious. Our server sadly was not engaged as she should have been and slow to return to our table. We had a great bus guy you cleared & brought us a refill on water & napkins. Waited too long for our server to come back after dropping off a dessert menu - we ultimately took our dessert to go.

Terrible and slow service. Had asked for no onions in salad twice and it arrived with onions. Asked for server to come back three times to order drinks. They always seem short staffed here even at 5 pm!!! Two visits like this at navy pier. Will not return.

The fried shrimp basket was tasty, but the breading fell off when you bit into it. That made the dish less appealing. How server was awesome and loved the atmosphere. I will be back during the summer and sit outside.

The food was fabulous! Generous portions and great service, the live music was a nice touch and the singer was very talented. We had a vegetarian in our group who enjoyed the avocado toast, I tried the lobster Mac and cheese and the lobster roll, my husband had the chicken and waffles: all stellar. Highly recommend stopping by for brunch!

My wife had fish tacos and I had the fried chicken. Fried green tomatoes were the appetizer and we also ordered some braised greens as a side dish. All the food was good fried chicken was very juicy. The server could have been more attentive, but was very informative and helpful with the menu. Also asked if we were going to the show at the theater which we were and that was helpful to make sure things moved along quickly. They offered a 20% discount because we were going to the theater which was nice. However, they then added a 5% service fee and a 20% gratuity and we were only a party of two. I normally tip 20% and would have tonight, but what if service was bad or the food and service were bad? Anyway, in the end the bill was a bit less than I would’ve expected so I’m thankful.
