Cheeves Bros. Steak House in Temple, Texas is an upscale restaurant that has a menu full of USDA Prime steaks and a wine cellar so well-stocked it's won awards in the past. There is even an in-house florist at Cheeves Bros. Steak House, which makes it the perfect location for a romantic evening with your special someone. Just be sure you bring your appetite. Cheeves Bros. Steak House doesn't do small portions. One look at the prime NY sirloin strip should make that clear. The butter rum scallops and bacon wrapped scallops are both delicious options, too. If you like surf and turf, you can't beat the crab cake tenderloin.

I made certain to specify on the reservation that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday but when we checked in at the restaurant the host made no mention of any of it to us or to our waitress. He put us at a super small table right next to the kitchen even though pretty much the entire restaurant was empty. All the servers and staff were walking and working all around us and the kitchen staff were looking at me eating the whole time (super awkward) For the menu prices, I expect a nicer/classier environment. Our waitress was super nice and very attentive and that was definitely a plus but even with how good she was, would not go back. Definitely need to step it up in training your host to review the reservations and make appropriate accommodation and comunicate to the wait staff on special occasions. This is after all supposed to be an upper scale restaurant. The Greek salad was so salty, the mozzarella caprese tasted like something you buy from Costco but even that is a lot creamier than this dry piece of cheese we were served. I really hate to post such a negative review but I’m hoping they make some changes and maybe we will try them again.

Good was great tasting. Service was also excellent. Wish that lobster was not so ridiculously priced and that they had sweet tea pre made.

Food wasn’t good and steaks was over cooked and overpriced. I wouldn’t recommended anyone to come here because you will leave hungry afterward. It was for my daughter graduation celebration and everything was booked in Waco and thought this restaurant was worth the drive of 40 mins but turned out to be a disappointment.

As usual, Cheeves was fantastic. Dee Dee was great as always, and everything was cooked perfectly.

High end restaurants in our area. Appetizer scud mini crab cakes but was deep fried crab balls like hush puppies. Wedge salad now substitute carrots for bacon. It used to be my husband favorite salad. They have changed a lot on the menu that made you come back. The crab cakes used to be crab cakes. Their tea used to have a mint flavor I think but it was delicious. It was Mother’s Day and I brought my adult children for the 1st time and they were not impressed. We just had eaten at Landry’s in San Antonio a week ago and their crab cakes were outstanding. Next time the kids said we will go to Austin and eat at Eddie V’s. Service was great.

This was an amazing experience with top notch service. The food was amazing. Pricey but worth is as a special treat!

Awesome staff and ambiance. Staff answered all our questions and made outstanding recommendations. Price points were a bit high. $46 for a 6 ounce steak was okay but $122 for lobster was a bit much. Also, $12.50 an ounce for liquor was a bit much considering an entire bottle cost $33 for a 750 bottle. Given all, we may go back again for the great food.
