Cheever's Cafe Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I really enjoyed our meal. Our server, Rachel was attentive and informative but never intrusive. We started with the November Rain cocktail which i loved. Then our calamari appetizer was the best calamari I’ve ever had. For dinner I had the mixed seafood tamales which were very tasty. My husband had the chicken fried steak which didn’t even require a knife to cut. He gave me a couple of bites and it was outstanding. Then to finish we had the sweet pecan covered ice cream. Oh my, just wonderful. It was even complimentary as we were there for our anniversary. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable and not at all pretentious. Needless to say we will be back!
I drove here for my birthday after researching online! They did NOT disappoint! Food, service, and ambiance was excellent and more than I could ask for my birthday dinner! I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant a million times over! I'm definitely going back!
I can always count on Cheever’s for a great dining experience!
Everything from the Farm to Table Shiraz to the quinoa/avocado salad... Their incredible Chicken Fried Steak and rounding it off with the famous Pecan Ice Cream Ball.
Great service from Kyle as well... she was great!
Our anniversary brunch was pretty disappointing. Chicken and waffles was so disappointing. The waffle was cold when we got it so we ordered another....it and came cold too. The chicken had no flavor and was a very small piece. We expected better from all the great reviews. So disappointing.
Had another wonderful dining experience at Cheever's Cafe. The service is second to none and the atmosphere cozy with a vintage feel. We arrived slightly before dinner and were allowed to have the dinner menu early as the chef had everything prepped. I had the roasted quail stack, it was superb. My daughter had the shrimp linguini; the recipe has changed since our last venture and she does not prefer the new style. My other daughter had the chicken fried steak and thoroughly enjoyed her meal. It was yet again a wonderful experience.
My only gripe is the noise level. We had a bit of a time conversing with all the racket. We went to Sunday brunch. I tried the Cowgirl benedict and it was really good. The chicken-fried steak with the pepper sauce was awesome and the over-easy egg was just perfection. We had to wait for our table even though we had reservations. Service was stretched thin, errors were made on the checks. But if you can be patient and put up with the noise level, the food is worth it.
Cheevers is our favorite restaurant in OKC. The halibut over shrimp risotto is my favorite and we always order fried spinach as our appetizer - it goes great with a glass of red wine:) The staff and chefs are always accommodating - for instance, when we miss Sunday brunch and show up at 5:00 wanting to order off of the brunch menu...they still had one of their amazing homemade cinnamon rolls left:) and allowed me to order the pork stack(with fried egg) for dinner:)
Always an amazing eating experience!!!
I love the masa cakes with shrimp risotto and poached eggs! Absolute heaven ☺️
This time I was told by a friend to try the Brussels sprout salad - I loathe brussel sprouts and was with my young daughter. We split the salad and I was busy when it came I looked over and my daughter had devoured part of it. It was divine!! I have no idea how they did it but try it.
My best friend took me here for a birthday lunch. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food and the service was excellent. I had the chicken streudel...absolutely delicious! And the carrot cake that Cheever’s generously comped us for my birthday was the best we have ever eaten!
