We had a Sunday Brunch and it was great. Coffee was good and the cheese board(5 cheeses for party of 4) was a great way to start the brunch. The french toast was very good but light so eaten with the cheeses you felt comfortable not stuffed. Other items where ordered and everyone reported satisfaction with their meal.
We were seated quickly, clean place, friendly staff, good service. My meal was just not good at all for the price of it. My daughters was a little better than mine. I won’t be going back
My girls took me here for Mother's Day knowing I love all things cheese. We all got different things and shared. I've been a couple of times and I've always liked everything I've tried. I love that they have gluten free options that taste good. Also I really enjoyed the chocolate mousse.
This was our third and probably final visit to Cheesetique Ballston. While or server was friendly, she sucked at the same time. When not waiting tables she was on her phone. We had to ask three time for the status of our cheese tray...seriously if they can’t put together a cheese tray in a timely manner they should not be in business. My husband ordered a second glass of wine which never came. We also had to asked on the status of our Brussels sprouts once our cheese tray finally arrived...at which time our son was basically done with his sandwich. Food is decent but not good enough for the price points they are charging and service has been pretty bad on our last two visits. Too many option in Ballston to spend any more money here.
Fantastic food, great wine, and exceptional service.
We love this restaurant! The service is great, and the wine and food are delicious. The spinach artichoke dip if fabulous. Our table of four shared several items which allowed us to all try several dishes. The arugula salad and the mac ‘n cheese were also very good. This restaurant is quickly becoming one of our neighborhood favorites!!
Love trivia night at Cheesetique. Food is sooooo much better than the usual trivia venue, and pour house is a fun trivia set up. Some of the waiters even participate in trivia!
It was National Grilled Cheese Day so evidently, it was very busy prior to us arriving. A bartender came to take our order, but then passed us off to the rest of the wait staff, so no one really felt responsible for us. We never received a glass of wine and a side dish that we ordered. Our salads came without any dressing. It was hard to get anyone’s attention the whole time. Food was great, as usual.
First time at this location and first time bringing our young kids here (for National Grilled Cheese Day). I was happily surprised that they were not only tolerant of young kids, but were prepared with toys and books and a kids menu. I will definitely be back (maybe not with the kids next time!).
It was a great experience, great food and friendly staff
Great! Love the food and wine, the service was good and it wasn’t too noisy despite it being trivia night. Highly recommend!
I was a little underwhelmed with this place. Their cheeses are great, but their brunch was mediocre. Add to the fact that parking is difficult in this area, there really isn't a reason to make your way into this area to go to this restaurant unless you live around the area.
Cute modern spot -- i went there for Sunday Brunch and they were out of the things I wanted due to their overflow from Saturday Brunch. The menu is very unique but most brunch selections are pretty basic. The cheese board selections are pretty pricey but I was only there for the real food. I ordered green eggs and ham which were pretty good but I was expected it look like the Dr. Seuss version :)
Service was great, food has been very good each time and very reasonable on price for places around the area
Another awesome brunch at this restaurant. The food is excellent, the ambiance is nice, and the prices okay. Highly recommend.
The Sassy Goat was fantastic!!
Friendly service, fabulous cheese and meat plates. A little pricy fit a fun splurge.
The cheese plate was one of the best over ever had. Specifically the salami and the honey. Drinks were good and in general the restaurant was very family friendly.
My husband and I took our toddler there for brunch and the staff was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating with his order. Not to mention, the food is fantastic!
Went to Cheesetique after wine tasting at Total Wine around the corner. Restaurant reasonably crowded. Interesting menu based on various cheese dishes. We opted for innovative cheese sandwiches and chardonnay. Good wine selection by the glass or bottle. You also have the option of selecting individual cheeses for a cheeseboard. We'll go back.
Jessica was great! The spinachoke dip was delicious. The steak and Brussels sprouts was disappointing. There was a large party next to us that was very loud. So was the music. Still, we’ll be back.
We shared three of the small plates. They were delicious and it was more than enough. Highly recommended.
Had the board with 6 items: 3 meats, 3 cheeses which come with very small enhancements, such as honey, jam, gherkins, hot pepper. Gave us more bread and crackers when asked. Salamis and cheeses were very tasty. Had wine flights which were good. Overall a nice choice in the neighborhood, but the noise level can be deafening when there are more than a few tables filled.
Just amazing. Never had food like that. Perfect service also.
Excellent staff. Great food. Wonderful space.
The food could have been hotter and the quiche was very dry.
Fun, cheesy place!
First time at this location, but the food and service were as good as the other locations. Had a great brunch with friends and everyone loved the food. Tomato soup and grilled cheese is always a favorite.
Great food and drinks!
A nice place to be with friends but Avoid Monday night if you are not planning to play Trivia.
It's a favorite for lunch. Great food, great space, chill vibe. The open area has lots of light but there's also a booth section that's more subdued. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Went during DC restaurant week, good food and service
Food was wonderful, the tomato soup is some of the best I have ever eaten! Definitely have to order the cheese board.
Good! Great informative service. very attentive. We did need to ask what the specials were but that was fine.
Delicious cheeses and mac and cheesetique! Chocolate mousse was good too.
My family and I enjoyed our experience. We'd been to the Cheesetique in Shirlington, but liked this branch much more. The wait staff was great, the portions appropriate, and the attentiveness to our requirements on-target. Parking, too, was a big plus--there is ample in the immediate vicinity, making going to the restaurant on a Friday evening easy and the "pain" associated with the Shirlington outlet.
I really love the food, wine, and drinks at Cheesetique. The servers are very helpful .
Pleasant evening. If you like cheese this is the place to be. Nice service. Good cheeseboard. All entrees were wonderful.
Don't was time with the cinnamon roll which is only a boring, sweet-ish roll with terrific icing; no cinnamon to be tasted at all.
As a cheese lover I adore the idea of this restaurant. (The one in Del Rey neighborhood is still the best). In Ballston I feel like 50% of the time the portion is far too small for 8 bucks a pop. 25% of the time the portions & mix of grapes or honey or figs or baby pickles or mustard or nuts or whatever ever else they've decided to add or detract is just right. The last 25% of the time it works out to be average. The quiche has always been good as are the mac&cheese options. Most sandwiches, or with half sandwich & half soup are very satisfying both in flavor & size.
It was ok. Not great. But I love cheese so how can a cheese sandwich be anything but good??
